7. Al-A'raf

“அகிலத்தாரின் இரட்சகனை நாங்கள் ஈமான்(விசுவாசம்) கொண்டுவிட்டோம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said: "We believe in the Lord of the ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists).

(அவனே) மூஸாவிற்கும், ஹாரூனுக்கும் இரட்சகன்” (என்று கூறினார்கள்.)

"The Lord of Mûsâ (Moses) and Hârûn (Aaron)."

(அதற்கு) ஃபிர் அவ்ன், “உங்களுக்கு நான் அனுமதியளிப்பதற்கு முன்னதாகவே நீங்கள் (மூஸா, ஹாரூனுடைய இரட்சகனாகிய) அவனை விசுவாசங்கொண்டு விட்டீர்கள்? நிச்சயமாக இது ஒரு சதியாகும், இந்நகரத்தில் அதற்குரியவர்களை அதிலிருந்து நீங்கள் வெளியேற்றுவதற்காக இதை நீங்கள் செய்திருக்கிறீர்கள், ஆகவே, (இச்சதியின் பலனை) நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள்” என்று கூறினான்.

Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "You have believed in him [Mûsâ (Moses)] before I give you permission. Surely, this is a plot which you have plotted in the city to drive out its people, but you shall come to know.

“நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுடைய கைகளையும் உங்களுடைய கால்களையும் மாறாக (ஒருபக்கத்துக் காலையும் மறுபக்கத்துக் கையையும்) துண்டித்து விடுவேன், அதன்பின் உங்கள் யாவரையும் கழுவேற்றுவேன்” என்று கூறினான்.

"Surely, I will cut off your hands and your feet from opposite sides, then I will crucify you all."

அ(தற்க)வர்கள் (அவ்வாறாயின்) நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் எங்கள் இரட்சகனின்பால் திரும்பிச் செல்லக் கூடியவர்கள், (அதைப்பற்றி எங்களுக்குக் கவலையில்லை)” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said: "Verily, we are returning to our Lord.

எங்கள் இரட்சகனின் அத்தாட்சிகளை-அவை எங்களிடம் வந்தபோது நாங்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டுவிட்டோம் என்பதற்கல்லாது நீ எங்களைத் தண்டிக்கவில்லை (என்று கூறிவிட்டு,) எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! எங்கள் மீது பொறுமையைப் பொழிவாயாக! இன்னும் (உனக்கு) முற்றிலும் கீழ்ப்பட்டவர்களாக (எங்களை ஆக்கி) நீ எங்க(ள் உயிர்)ளைக் கைப்பற்றிக் கொள்வாயாக!” (என்றும் பிரார்த்தித்தார்கள்.)

"And you take vengeance on us only because we believed in the Ayât (proofs, evidence, lessons, signs, etc.) of our Lord when they reached us! Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us to die as Muslims."

இன்னும், ஃபிர் அவ்னுடைய சமூகப்பிரதானிகள் (ஃபிர் அவ்னிடம்), “மூஸாவையும் அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரையும் பூமியில் குழப்பம் செய்வதற்காகவும், உம்மையும், உம் தெய்வங்களையும் (புறக்கணித்து) விட்டுவிடுவதற்காகவும் நீர் அவர்களை விட்டு வைப்பீரா?” என்று கேட்டார்கள், அ(தற்க)வன், “(அன்று) அவர்களுடைய ஆண்மக்களை வெட்டிக் கொன்று விடுவோம், அவர்களுடைய பெண் மக்களை (மட்டும்) உயிருடன் வாழவும் விடுவோம், இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்கள் மீது ஆதிக்கம் செலுத்தக் கூடியவர்கள்” என்று கூறினான்.

The chiefs of Fir‘aun’s (Pharaoh) people said: "Will you leave Mûsâ (Moses) and his people to spread mischief in the land, and to abandon you and your gods?" He said: "We will kill their sons, and let live their women, and we have indeed irresistible power over them."

(அதற்கு) மூஸா தன் சமூகத்தாரிடம், “நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்விடம் உதவி தேடுங்கள், இன்னும், பொறுமையாகவுமிருங்கள், சகித்திருங்கள், நிச்சயமாக இந்தப் பூமி அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியது, இதனை அவன் தன் அடியார்களில் தான் நாடியவர்களுக்கு (உரிமைப்படுத்தி) அனந்தரமாக்கி விடுவான், (நல்ல) முடிவு (அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப்) பயப்படுகிறவர்களுக்கே” என்று கூறினார்.

Mûsâ (Moses) said to his people: "Seek help in Allâh and be patient. Verily, the earth is Allâh’s. He gives it as a heritage to whom He wills of His slaves; and the (blessed) end is for the Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2)."

(அதற்கு மூஸாவுடைய சமூகத்தார் அவரிடம்,) “நீர் நம்மிடம் வருவதற்கு முன்னரும் நாங்கள் துன்புறுத்தப்பட்டோம், நீர் வந்ததன் பின்னரும் துன்புறுத்தப்பட்டே வருகின்றோம்.,) என்று அவர்கள் கூறினார்கள், (அதற்கு மூஸா,) உங்களுடைய இரட்சகன் உங்களுடைய விரோதிகளை அழித்து (அவர்களுடைய) பூமிக்கு உங்களை பின்தோன்றல்களாக்கி வைக்கக்கூடும், அப்பால் நீங்கள் எவ்வாறு செயலாற்றுகிறீர்கள் என்பதைக் கவனிப்பான் என்று கூறினார்.

They said: "We (Children of Israel) had suffered troubles before you came to us, and since you have come to us." He said: "It may be that your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you successors on the earth, so that He may see how you act?"

மேலும், ஃபிர் அவ்னைச் சார்ந்தவர்களை-அவர்கள் நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறுவதற்காக பஞ்சங்களைக் கொண்டும், காய்கனிப் பொருள்களில் குறைவைக் கொண்டும் திட்டமாக நாம் பிடித்தோம்.

And indeed We punished the people of Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) with years of drought and shortness of fruits (crops), that they might remember (take heed).

பின்னர், அவர்களுக்கு (யாதொரு) நன்மை வருமானால், இது எங்களுக்கே உரியது எனக் கூறுகிறார்கள், மேலும், அவர்களுக்கு தீமை ஏற்படுமானால், மூஸாவையும், அவருடனிருப்பவர்களையும் (கொண்டு ஏற்பட்ட)துர்ச்சகுனம் என்பார்கள், அவர்களுடைய துர்ச்சகுனமெல்லாம் அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்தே (வந்து) உள்ளது என்பதைத் தெரிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், எனினும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் இதனை அறிந்துகொள்வதில்லை.

But whenever good came to them, they said: "Ours is this." And if evil afflicted them, they ascribed it to evil omens connected with Mûsâ (Moses) and those with him. Be informed! Verily, their evil omens are with Allâh but most of them know not.

அன்றியும், அவர்கள் (மூஸாவிடம்)” அவற்றின் மூலம் நீர் எங்களை வசியப்படுத்துவதற்காக எவ்வளவு (அற்புதமான) அத்தாட்சியை நீர் (எங்களுக்குக்) கொண்டுவந்த போதிலும், நாங்கள் உம்மை விசுவாசிக்கக்கூடியவர்களாக இல்லை” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said [to Mûsâ (Moses)]: "Whatever Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) you may bring to us, to work therewith your sorcery on us, we shall never believe in you."

ஆகவே. அவர்கள் மீது (மழையுடன் கூடிய) புயல் காற்று வெட்டுக்கிளி, பேன், தவளைகள், இரத்தம் ஆகியவற்றை தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளாக (ஒன்றன் பின் ஒன்றாக) நாம் அனுப்பி வைத்தோம், (இதன் பின்னரும்) அவர்கள் கர்வங்கொண்டார்கள், குற்றம் செய்யும் சமூகத்தாராகவும் அவர்கள் இருந்தார்கள்.

So We sent on them: the flood, the locusts, the lice, the frogs, and the blood (as a succession of) manifest signs, yet they remained arrogant, and they were of those people who were Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners).

அவர்களின் மீது (வானத்திலிருந்து) வேதனை வரும் போதெல்லாம் அவர்கள் (மூஸாவிடம்) “மூஸாவே! உமதிரட்சகனிடம் அவன் உமக்கு அளித்திருக்கும் வாக்குறுதியின் பிரகாரம், (இக்கஷ்டத்தை நீக்கும்படி) எங்களுக்காக நீர் பிரார்த்தனை செய்வீராக! எங்களை விட்டும் இவ்வேதனையை நீர் நீக்கிவிட்டால், நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உம்மை விசுவாசித்து,இஸ்ராயீலின் மக்களையும் நாம் உம்முடன் அனுப்பி விடுவோம்” என்றும் கூறினார்கள்.

And when the punishment fell on them they said: "O Mûsâ (Moses)! Invoke your Lord for us because of His Promise to you. If you remove the punishment from us, we indeed shall believe in you, and we shall let the Children of Israel go with you."

ஆகவே, அதை அவர்கள் சென்றடையும் ஒரு தவணை வரை அவர்களைவிட்டும் வேதனையை நாம் நீக்கியபொழுது, அச்சமயம் அவர்கள் (தாம் அளித்த வாக்குறுதியை) முறித்து விடுகின்றனர்.

But when We removed the punishment from them to a fixed term, which they had to reach, behold! they broke their word!

ஆகவே, நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளைப் பொய்யாக்கி (அவற்றைப் பொருட்படுத்தாது) மறதியாளர்களாகவும், அவர்கள் இருந்ததன் காரணமாக அவர்களை நாம் தண்டித்தோம், (அப்போது) அவர்களைக் கடலில் மூழ்கடித்தும் விட்டோம்.

So We took retribution from them. We drowned them in the sea, because they belied Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were heedless about them.

இன்னும், பலமற்றவர்கள் எனக் கருதப்பட்டிருந்தார்களே, அத்தகைய சமூகத்தவரை, எதில் நாம் பெரும்பாக்கியங்களை நல்கியிருந்தோமோ அத்தகைய பூமியில் கிழக்குப்பகுதிகளுக்கும், அதன் மேற்குப்பகுதிகளுக்கும் நாம் வாரிசுகளாக்கினோம், மேலும், இஸ்ராயீலின் மக்கள் மீது (ஃபிர் அவ்னால் ஏற்பட்ட கஷ்டங்களைப்) பொறுமையுடன் அவர்கள் (சகித்துக்கொண்டு) இருந்ததன் காரணமாக உம் இரட்சகனின் அழகிய வாக்கு பரிபூரணமாகி (நிறைவேறி) விட்டது, மேலும், ஃபிர் அவ்னும், அவனுடைய சமூகத்தாரும் (மாட மாளிகைகளாக) உற்பத்தி செய்திருந்தவைகளையும், (மிக உயர்வாகக்கட்டி) அவர்கள் உயர்த்தியிருந்தவைகளையும் நாம் தரைமட்டமாக்கி விட்டோம்.

And We made the people who were considered weak to inherit the eastern parts of the land and the western parts thereof which We have blessed. And the fair Word of your Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel, because of their endurance. And We destroyed completely all the great works and buildings which Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) and his people erected.

மேலும், நாம் இஸ்ராயீலின் மக்களைக் கடலைக் கடந்து செல்ல வைத்தோம், (அப்போது) தங்களுக்குரிய விக்கிரகங்களை ஆராதனை செய்து கொண்டிருந்த ஒரு சமூகத்தினர் அருகில் அவர்கள் வந்தடைந்தனர், (அப்போது, மூஸாவிடம்,) மூஸாவே! அவர்களுக்கு தெய்வங்கள் இருப்பதைப்போல் எங்களுக்கும் ஒரு தெய்வத்தை (நாங்கள் வணங்குவதற்கு) ஆக்கி வைப்பீராக!” என்று கூறினார்கள், அதற்கு (மூஸாவாகிய) அவர், நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் அறியாதவர்களான ஓர் கூட்டத்தினராவீர்கள் என்று கூறினார்.

And We brought the Children of Israel (with safety) across the sea, and they came upon a people devoted to some of their idols (in worship). They said: "O Mûsâ (Moses)! Make for us an ilâh¹ (a god) as they have âlihah (gods)." He said: "Verily, you are a people who know not (the Majesty and Greatness of Allâh and what is obligatory upon you, i.e. to worship none but Allâh Alone, the One and the Only God of all that exists)."

1. Ilâh: Who has all the right to be worshipped.

“நிச்சயமாக (விக்கிரக ஆராதனை செய்யும்) இவர்கள் எதில் இருந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ அது அழிந்துவிடக் கூடியதும், அவர்கள் எதை செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ அது முற்றிலும் வீணானதேயாகும்” என்று கூறினார்.

[Mûsâ (Moses) added:] "Verily, these people will be destroyed for that which they are engaged in (idols-worship). And all that they are doing is in vain."

(தவிர,)” அல்லாஹ் அல்லாததையா நான் உங்களுக்கு இரட்சகனாகத் தேடுவேன்? அவனோ உங்களை அகிலத்தாரை விட மேன்மையாக்கி வைத்துள்ளான்” என்றும் அவர் கூறினார்.

He said: "Shall I seek for you an Ilâh (a god) other than Allâh, while He has given you superiority over the ‘Âlamîn (mankind and jinn of your time)."

மேலும், (இஸ்ராயீலின் மக்களே!) பிர் அவ்னுடைய கூட்டத்தாரிடமிருந்து நாம் உங்களைக் காப்பாற்றியதை (நீங்கள் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்.) அவர்கள் உங்களை கொடிய வேதனையால் துன்புறுத்திக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள், அவர்கள் உங்கள் ஆண் மக்களைக் கொலை செய்துவிட்டு, உங்கள் பெண் மக்களை (மட்டும்) உயிருடன் வாழ விட்டும் வந்தார்கள், இதில் உங்களுக்கு உங்கள் இரட்சகனால் மகத்தானதொரு சோதனையும் (ஏற்பட்டு) இருந்தது.

And (remember) when We rescued you from Fir‘aun’s (Pharaoh) people, who were afflicting you with the worst torment, killing your sons and letting your women live. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.

இன்னும், மூஸாவுக்கு நாம் முப்பது இரவுகளை வாக்களித்திருந்தோம், மேலும், அதை பத்து இரவுகளைக் கொண்டு நாம் பூர்த்தியாக்கியும் வைத்தோம், ஆகவே, அவருடைய இரட்சகனின் தவணை நாற்பது இரவுகளாகப் பூர்த்தியாயிற்று, அது சமயம் மூஸா தன் சகோதரர் ஹாரூனிடம் “நீர் என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரிடையே என் பிரதிநிதியாக இருந்து, அவர்களைச் சீர் திருத்தமும் செய்வீராக! அன்றியும் குழப்பக்காரர்களுடைய வழியை நீர் பின்பற்றாதிருப்பீராக! என்று கூறினார்.

And We appointed for Mûsâ (Moses) thirty nights and added (to the period) ten (more), and he completed the term, appointed by his Lord, of forty nights. And Mûsâ (Moses) said to his brother Hârûn (Aaron): "Replace me among my people, act in the Right Way (by ordering the people to obey Allâh and to worship Him Alone) and follow not the way of the Mufsidûn (mischief-makers)."

மேலும், நாம் குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தில் (குறிப்பிட்ட இடத்திற்கு) மூஸா வந்து அவருடைய இரட்சகனும் அவருடன் பேசியபொழுது, “என் இரட்சகனே! நீ (உன்னை) எனக்குக் காண்பிப்பாயாக! உன்பால் நான் பார்ப்பேன்” என்று கூறினார், (அதற்கு, அல்லாஹ், மூஸாவே!) நீர் என்னை ஒருபோதும் பார்க்க முடியாது, எனினும், இம்மலையை நீர் பார்ப்பீராக! அது தன்னுடைய இடத்தில் நிலைத்திருந்தால் அப்போது நீர் என்னை காண்பீர், என்று கூறினான், ஆகவே, அவருடைய இரட்சகன் அம்மலைமீது வெளிப்பட்டபோது அவ்வாறு வெளிப்பட்ட நிலையான)து, அ(ம்மலையான)தை தூளாக்கிவிட்டது, இன்னும் மூஸா (திடுக்கிட்டு) மூர்ச்சையாக விழுந்து விட்டார், பின்னர் அவர் தெளிவு பெற்றபோது (அல்லாஹ்விடம்) “நீ மிகப் பரிசுத்தமானவன், நான் உன்னிடம் பாவமீட்சி கோருகின்றேன், இன்னும், (உன்னை) விசுவாசிப்போரில் நான் முதன்மையானவன்” என்று கூறினார்,

And when Mûsâ (Moses) came at the time and place appointed by Us, and his Lord (Allah) spoke to him; he said: "O my Lord! Show me (Yourself), that I may look upon You." Allâh said: "You cannot see Me, but look upon the mountain; if it stands still in its place then you shall see Me." So when his Lord appeared to the mountain¹, He made it collapse to dust, and Mûsâ (Moses) fell down unconscious. Then when he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to You, I turn to You in repentance and I am the first of the believers."

1. The appearance of Allâh جل جلاله to the mountain was very little of Him. It was approximately equal to the tip of one’s little finger as explained by the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم when he recited this Verse. (This hadîth is quoted by Tirmidhi).

(அதற்கு) “மூஸாவே! என்னுடைய தூதுகளைக் கொண்டும், என்னுடைய பேச்சைக் கொண்டும் (எல்லா) மனிதர்களைவிட, நிச்சயமாக நான் உம்மைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்திருக்கின்றேன், ஆகவே, நான் உமக்கு கொடுப்பதைப் (பலமாகப் பற்றிப்பிடித்துக் கொள்வீராக!) நன்றி செலுத்துபவர்களிலும் நீர் ஆகிவிடுவீராக” என்று கூறினார்.

(Allâh) said: "O Mûsâ (Moses) I have chosen you above men by My Messages, and by My speaking (to you). So hold that which I have given you and be of the grateful."

மேலும், (நாம் அவருக்குக் கொடுத்த) பலவகைகளில் ஒவ்வொரு விஷயத்திலிருந்து நல்லுபதேசத்தையும், ஒவ்வொரு விஷயத்திற்குரிய விளக்கத்தையும் அவருக்காக நாம் எழுதி இருந்தோம், (ஆகவே), ”நீர் இதனைப் பலமாகப் (பற்றிப்) பிடித்துக் கொண்டு அதிலிருக்கும் நல்லவைகளை எடுத்து செயல்பட்டு)க் கொள்ளுமாறு உம்முடைய சமூகத்தாரை நீர் கட்டளையும் இடுவீராக! (உமக்கு மாறு செய்யும்) பாவிகளின் வீட்டை (தங்குமிடத்தை) நான் உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிப்பேன்” என்றும் (கூறினான்.)

And We wrote for him on the Tablets the lesson to be drawn from all things and the explanation for all things (and said): Hold unto these with firmness, and enjoin your people to take the better therein. I shall show you the home of Al-Fâsiqûn (the rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).

நியாயமின்றி, பூமியில் கர்வங்கொண்டிருப்போரை, என்னுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளை (விளங்கிக் கொள்வதை) விட்டும் திருப்பி வைத்து விடுவேன், அவர்கள் அத்தாட்சிகள் யாவையும் கண்டபோதிலும் அவைகளை நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளவுமாட்டார்கள், (அவ்வாறே) நேர் வழியை அவர்கள் கண்டாலும் அதனை அவர்கள் (நேரான) வழியாக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளமாட்டார்கள், ஆனால், தவறான வழியை அவர்கள் கண்டாலோ, அதனையே (தங்களுக்குரிய) வழியாக எடுத்துக் கொள்வார்கள், அது (ஏனெனில்) நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் நம்முடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கினர் என்பதாலும், அவைகளை விட்டும் அவர்கள் மறந்தவர்களாகவும் இருந்தார்கள் என்ற காரணத்தினாலுமாகும்.

I shall turn away from My Ayât (verses of the Qur’ân) those who behave arrogantly on the earth, without a right, and (even) if they see all the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they will not believe in them. And if they see the way of righteousness (monotheism, piety, and good deeds), they will not adopt it as the Way, but if they see the way of error (polytheism, crimes and evil deeds), they will adopt that way, that is because they have rejected Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were heedless (to learn a lesson) from them.

நம்முடைய வசனங்களையும், மறுமையின் சந்திப்பையும் பொய்யாக்குகின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்-அவர்களுடைய (நற்) காரியங்கள் யாவும் அழிந்து விட்டன, அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவற்றிற்கே தவிர (வேறெதற்கும்) கூலி கொடுக்கப்படுவார்களா?

Those who deny Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and the Meeting in the Hereafter (Day of Resurrection,), vain are their deeds. Are they requited with anything except what they used to do?

மூஸாவுடைய சமூகத்தார் அவருக்குப் பின்னர், தங்கள் ஆபரணங்களிலிருந்து ஒரு காளைக் கன்றை (அதன்)-உடலை(த் தெய்வமாக) எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்கள், அதற்கு, (மாட்டின் சப்தத்தைப் போன்ற) சப்தமிருந்தது, நிச்சயமாக அது அவர்களுடன் பேசவுமாட்டாது, அவர்களுக்கு யாதொரு வழியைக் காட்டவுமாட்டாது என்பதை அவர்கள் பார்க்கவில்லையா? (எனினும்) அவர்கள் அதனையே (தெய்வமாக) எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்கள், அவர்கள் (தமக்குத் தாமே) அநியாயக்காரர்களாகவும் ஆகிவிட்டனர்.

And the people of Mûsâ (Moses) made in his absence, out of their ornaments, the image of a calf (for worship). It had a sound (as if it was mooing). Did they not see that it could neither speak to them nor guide them to the way? They took it (for worship) and they were Zâlimûn (wrong-doers).

மேலும், அவர்கள் (செய்து விட்டது பற்றி) மிகவும் கைசேதப்பட்டு திட்டமாகத் தாங்களே வழிதவறி விட்டார்கள் என்பதையும் அவர்கள் கண்டபொழுது, “எங்கள் இரட்சகன் எங்களுக்கு அருள் புரிந்து எங்களை மன்னிக்காவிடில் நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் நஷ்டமடைந்தவர்களில் ஆகிவிடுவோம்” என்று அவர்கள் கூறினார்கள்.

And when they regretted and saw that they had gone astray, they (repented and) said: "If our Lord have not mercy upon us and forgive us, we shall certainly be of the losers."

மேலும், (இதனை அறிந்த மூஸா கோபங்கொண்டவராக – பெரும் வருத்தம் நிறைந்தவராக தன் சமூகத்தாரிடம் திரும்பி வந்தபொழுது (அவர்களிடம்) “நான் இல்லாத சமயத்தில் நீங்கள் செய்த (இச்செயலான)து மிகக் கெட்டது, உங்கள் இரட்சகனின் கட்டளை (வேதனை) வருவதை நீங்கள் அவசரப்படுகின்றீர்களா?” என்று கூறி (அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளைகள் எழுதப்பட்ட) பலகைகளைப் போட்டுவிட்டு, தன் சகோதரரின் தலை (முடி)யைப் பிடித்துத் தன் பக்கம் இழுத்தார், அ(தற்க)வர், “என் தாயின் மகனே! இந்த மக்கள் நிச்சயமாக என்னை பலவீனப்படுத்தி விட்டனர், என்னைக் கொலை செய்து விடவும் முற்பட்டனர், என்னுடைய விரோதிகள் என்னைப் பார்த்து சிரிக்குமாறு நீர் செய்துவிடாதீர், இந்த அக்கிரமக்கார சமூகத்தாருடன் என்னை ஆக்கியும் விடாதீர்” என்று கூறினார்.

And when Mûsâ (Moses) returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "What an evil thing is that which you have done (i.e. worshipping the calf) during my absence. Did you hasten and go ahead as regards the matter of your Lord (you left His worship)?" And he threw down the Tablets and seized his brother by (the hair of) his head and dragged him towards him. Hârûn (Aaron) said: "O son of my mother! Indeed the people judged me weak and were about to kill me, so make not the enemies rejoice over me, nor put me amongst the people who are Zâlimûn (wrong-doers)."

“என் இரட்சகனே! என்னையும், என் சகோதரரையும் நீ மன்னித்தருள்வாயாக! உன்னுடைய கிருபையில் எங்களையும் பிரவேசிக்கச் செய்வாயாக! நீ கிருபை செய்வோரிலெல்லாம் மிக்க கிருபையாளன்” என்று (பிரார்த்தனை செய்து) கூறினார்.

Mûsâ (Moses) said: "O my Lord! Forgive me and my brother, and admit us into Your Mercy, for you are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy."

“நிச்சயமாக காளைக் கன்றை(த் தெய்வமாக) எடுத்துக்கொண்டார்களே அத்தகையோர்-அவர்களுடைய இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து கோபமும், இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் இழிவும் அவர்களை வந்தடையும், பொய்க் கற்பனை செய்வோருக்கு இவ்வாறே நாம் கூலி கொடுப்போம்” (என்று அல்லாஹ் கூறினான்.)

Certainly, those who took the calf (for worship), wrath from their Lord and humiliation will come upon them in the life of this world. Thus do We recompense those who invent lies.

மேலும், தீய செயல்கள் செய்துவிட்டு, (மனம் வருந்தி) அதன் பின் பச்சாதாபப்பட்டு, (அதிலிருந்து விலகி, உண்மையாகவே) விசுவாசமும் கொண்டு விட்டார்களே, அத்தகையோர் - (அவர்களுடைய பாவத்தை நிச்சயமாக உமதிரட்சகன் அதற்குப்பின் மிக்க மன்னிக்கிறவன், மிகக் கிருபை செய்பவன்.

But those who committed evil deeds and then repented afterwards and believed, verily, your Lord after (all) that is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

மேலும், மூஸாவுடைய கோபம் தணிந்தபோது, அவர் (அந்தப்)பலகைகளை எடுத்துக் கொண்டார், அவற்றில் வரையப்பட்டிருந்ததில் தங்களுடைய இரட்சகனை பயப்படுகின்றார்களே அத்தகையோருக்கு நேர் வழியும் (அவனின் பேரருளும் இருந்தன.)

And when the anger of Mûsâ (Moses) was calmed down, he took up the Tablets; and in their inscription was guidance and mercy for those who fear their Lord.

மேலும், மூஸா நாம் குறித்த நேரத்திற்காக தம் சமூகத்தாரில் எழுபது ஆண்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார், அவர்களைப் பூகம்பம் பிடித்தபொழுது (என் இரட்சகனே! நீ நாடியிருந்தால், இதற்கு முன்னதாகவே இவர்களையும், என்னையும் நீ அழித்திருக்கலாமே) எங்களிலுள்ள அறிவீனர்கள் சிலர் செய்ததற்காக, எங்களை நீ அழித்து விடுகிறாயா?” இது உன்னுடைய சோதனையேயன்றி வேறில்லை, இதனைக் கொண்டு நீ நாடியவர்களை வழி தவறச் செய்கிறாய், நீ நாடியவர்களை நேர் வழியிலும் செலுத்துகிறாய், நீயே எங்களுடைய பாதுகாவலன், ஆகவே நீ எங்களை மன்னித்தருள்வாயாக! மேலும், எங்களுக்கு நீ அருள் புரிவாயாக, நீயே மன்னிப்பவர்களில் மிக்க மேலானவன்” என்று அவர் (பிரார்த்தித்துக்) கூறினார்.

And Mûsâ (Moses) chose out of his people seventy (of the best) men for Our appointed time and place of meeting, and when they were seized with a violent earthquake, he said: "O my Lord, if it had been Your Will, You could have destroyed them and me before; would You destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among us? It is only Your Trial by which You lead astray whom You will, and keep guided whom You will. You are our Walî (Protector), so forgive us and have Mercy on us: for You are the Best of those who forgive.

இன்னும், ”இவ்வுலகத்தில் எங்களுக்கு நன்மையை எழுதிவிடுவாயாக! மறுமையிலும் (நன்மையை எழுதுவாயாக!) நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உன் பக்கமே திரும்பிவிட்டோம்” (என்றும் பிரார்த்தித்தார்.) அதற்கு அல்லாஹ்வாகிய அவன் “என்னுடைய வேதனையாகிறது – அதனைக்கொண்டு நான் நாடியவர்களை பிடிப்பேன், என்னுடைய அருளோ எல்லா வஸ்துக்களிலும் சூழ்ந்து விசாலமாகியுள்ளது, ஆகவே, “(என்னுடைய அருளாகிய) அதனை, (எனக்குப்) பயந்து ஜகாத்தும் கொடுத்து வருகிறார்களே அத்தகையோருக்கும், நம்முடைய வசனங்களை விசுவாசிக்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோருக்கும் நான் (விதித்து) எழுதிவிடுவேன்” என்று கூறினான்.

"And ordain for us good in this world, and in the Hereafter. Certainly we have turned unto You." He said: (As to) My punishment I afflict therewith whom I will and My Mercy embraces all things. That (Mercy) I shall ordain for those who are the Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2), and give Zakât; and those who believe in Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs and revelations, etc.);

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், தங்களிடமுள்ள தவ்றாத்திலும், இன்ஜீலிலும், அவரைப் பற்றி எழுதப்பட்டவராகக் காண்கிறார்களே, அத்தகைய (எழுத்தாற்றல் அற்ற) உம்மி நபியான இத்தூதரை பின்பற்றுகிறார்கள், (இத்தூதரோ) அவர்களை நன்மையான காரியங்களை(ச் செய்யுமாறு) ஏவி பாவமான காரியங்களிலிருந்து அவர்களை விலக்குவார், நல்லவைகளையே அவர்களுக்கு (உண்ண) அவர் ஆகுமாக்கியும் வைப்பார், கெட்டவற்றை அவர்களுக்குத் தடுத்தும் விடுவார், அவர்களுடைய பளுவையும், அவர்கள் மீதிருந்தே அத்தகைய கடினமானவைகளையும் (இரட்சகனின் அனுமதி கொண்டு) அவர்களை விட்டும் நீக்கிவிடுவார், ஆகவே. அவரை (உண்மையாகவே) விசுவாசித்து, இன்னும் அவரை கண்ணியம் செய்து, அவருக்கு உதவியும் புரிந்து அவருடன் இறக்கி வைக்கப்பட்ட ஒளி மிக்க (இவ்வேதத்)தையும் பின்பற்றுகிறார்களே அத்தகையோர்-அவர்கள்தாம் வெற்றியாளர்களாவர்.

Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write (i.e. Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) whom they find written with them in the Taurât (Torah) (Deut, xviii 15) and the Injeel (Gospel) (John xiv, 16)¹, - he commands them for Al-Ma‘rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm has ordained); and forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islâm has forbidden); he allows them as lawful At-Tayyibât (i.e. all good and lawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods), and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khabâ’ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons and foods), he releases them from their heavy burdens (of Allâh’s Covenant with the children of Israel), and from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them. So those who believe in him (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), honour him, help him, and follow the light (the Qur’ân) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful².

   A) "O you who have been given the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Believe in what We have revealed (to Muhammadصلى الله عليه وسلم) confirming what is (already) with you, before We efface faces [by making them (faces) like the backs of the necks; without nose, mouth and eyes], and turn them hindwards, or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath -breakers. And the Commandment of Allâh is always executed." (V.4:47).

(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக! மனிதர்களே! நிச்சயமாகவே நான் உங்கள் யாவருக்கும், அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதராக இருக்கிறேன், அவன் எத்தகையோனென்றால், வானங்கள், (பூமியின் ஆட்சி அவனுக்கே உரியது, வணக்கத்திற்குரியவன் அவனைத் தவிர (வேறு எவரும்) இல்லை., அவனே உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான், அவனே மரணிக்கச் செய்கிறான், ஆகவே, அந்த அல்லாஹ்வையும் (எழுத்தாற்றல் அற்ற) உம்மி நபியாகிய அவனுடைய (இத்)தூதரையும் நீங்கள் விசுவாசிப்பீர்களாக! அவர் எத்தகையவரென்றால்-அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவனுடைய வசனங்களையும் விசுவாசிக்கின்றார், (ஆகவே) நீங்கள் நேர்வழி பெறுவதற்காக அவரையே நீங்கள் பின்பற்றுங்கள்.

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "O mankind! Verily, I am sent to you all as the Messenger of Allâh - to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). It is He Who gives life and causes death. So believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), the Prophet who can neither read nor write (i.e. Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), who believes in Allâh and His Words [(this Qur’ân), the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and also Allâh’s Word: "Be!" - and he was, i.e. ‘Îsâ (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), عليهما السلام], and follow him so that you may be guided.¹"

இன்னும், மூஸாவுடைய சமூகத்தாரில் ஒரு கூட்டத்தினர் இருக்கினறனர், அவர்கள் சத்தியத்தைக் கொண்டு (மற்ற மனிதர்களுக்கு) வழி காண்பிக்கின்றனர், அதன்படி நீதியும் செய்கின்றனர்.

And of the people of Mûsâ (Moses) there is a community who lead (the men) with truth and establish justice therewith (i.e. judge among men with truth and justice).

மேலும், (மூஸாவுடைய கூட்டத்தாராகிய) அவர்களை பன்னிரண்டு பிரிவினர்களாக-கூட்டத்தினர்களாக-நாம் பிரித்தோம், மூஸாவிடம் அவருடைய கூட்டத்தார் தண்ணீர் கேட்டபோது நாம் (அவரிடம்) “உம்முடைய கைத்தடியைக் கொண்டு இக்கல்லை அடிப்பீராக!” என்று அவருக்கு வஹீ அறிவித்தோம், அப்போது (அவர் அவ்வாறு அடிக்கவே,) அதிலிருந்து பன்னிரண்டு ஊற்றுக்கள் பொங்கி வந்தன, ஒவ்வொரு பிரிவினரும் (அவற்றில்) தங்கள் நீரருந்துமிடத்தைத் திட்டமாக அறிந்து கொண்டனர், மேலும், அவர்கள் மீது மேகங்களை நிழலிடும்படிச் செய்தோம், அவர்களுக்காக ‘மன்னு’, ‘ஸல்வா’ (எனும் மேலான உண)வையும் இறக்கி வைத்து, நாம் உங்களுக்கு அளித்துள்ள நல்லவற்றிலிருந்து புசியுங்கள், (என்னும் நம் கட்டளைக்கு மாறு செய்தனர். அதனால்) அவர்கள் நமக்கு அநியாயம் செய்துவிடவில்லை, எனினும், அவர்கள் தமக்குத்தாமே அநியாயம் செய்கிறவர்களாக இருந்தனர்.

And We divided them into twelve tribes (as distinct) nations. We revealed to Mûsâ (Moses) when his people asked him for water (saying): "Strike the stone with your stick", and there gushed forth out of it twelve springs, each group knew its own place for water. We shaded them with the clouds and sent down upon them Al-Manna ¹ and the quails (saying): "Eat of the good things with which We have provided you." They harmed Us not but they used to harm themselves.
