Who we are
IslamTamil.com is run by Muhammad Aslam and his brothers. There is no company or organisation behind it: writing the articles, recording the audio, answering questions — all of it is done by Muhammad Aslam and students who have studied under scholars and graduated.
You can write to us at [email protected] about anything on this page.
The short version
You can read, listen and download everything on this website without an account, and without telling us who you are.
- We show no advertisements, we run no analytics, and we track nobody.
- We sell nothing and share nothing, except with the few services listed below that are needed to run the website.
- The only personal information we receive is what you type into a form and send: your name, your email and your message.
- Your reading history, your place in an audio and your settings are saved only in your own browser, not with us.
What we collect, and why
1. When you ask a question or write to us
What: the name you type, the email address you type, and your message, from the Ask a Question page or the Contact page.
Why: so we can read it and reply to you by email. There is no other way to answer you.
Where it goes: the form is handled by our website (WordPress on islamtamil.com) and sent by email, through Resend, to the IslamTamil team: [email protected], with copies to team members’ Gmail inboxes. Before it is sent, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a spam robot, is filling the form.
How long: we keep it in our inboxes until we delete it.
Your question is private. It is not published. If a question would help many people, we may write about the subject later — without your name and without your email.
2. When you visit any page
Like every website, the servers keep short technical records of each visit: your IP address, the address of the page (including any words you searched for), the time, and the type of browser. These are used only to keep the website safe and to find faults. We do not use them to find out who you are.
Saved in your own browser
To make the website easier to use, a few things are saved in your own browser, on your own phone or computer:
- Your language (English or தமிழ்) — a small cookie called lang.
- Articles you opened recently, for “Pick up where you left off”.
- Where you stopped in an audio or a playlist, so you can continue later.
- Your text size, and the steps you ticked in a learning path.
The language cookie is sent to our website only so that pages open in your language; it holds nothing except “en” or “ta”. Everything else stays on your device and is never sent to us. To remove them, clear this website’s data in your browser’s settings.
Cloudflare may also set a short-lived security cookie, used only to tell people apart from robots.
Things that happen when you open content
When a page loads, some parts of it come from other services, and those services see your IP address, as they would for any web page:
- Cloudflare — every visit passes through Cloudflare, which protects the website from attacks and keeps it fast.
- Google Fonts — some of the letters (fonts) on the website are loaded from Google.
- SoundCloud and YouTube — the audio and video players inside articles. These services follow their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies.
- WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, X and Google Maps — only if you press a share, follow or map link. You then leave our website for theirs.
We do not receive anything about you from these; they are simply where the content is kept or where you choose to go.

We have named a place only where we know it. For the others we have not been told where their servers are, so we do not guess. All of them are companies outside India, so assume your message may be stored abroad.
What we never do
- We never sell your information, to anyone, for any price.
- We never show advertisements.
- We never track you, on this website or anywhere else.
- We never build a profile of you.
- We never share what you write with anyone beyond the services above.
Deleting what we hold
Write to [email protected] and say what you would like removed. We will delete it and tell you when it is done.
You do not have to give a reason.
To remove what is saved in your own browser, clear this website’s data in your browser’s settings.
Children
The website is for everybody and holds nothing unsuitable for children. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13. If a child has sent us a message, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the change is significant, we will say so on the website.
