அப்போது அவருக்கு கஷ்டத்திற்கு (நரகவழிக்கு) நாம் எளிதாக்கி வைப்போம்.

We will make smooth for him the path for evil.

மேலும், அவர் (நரகத்தில்) வீழ்ந்து விட்டால், அவருடைய செல்வம் அவருக்கு பயனளிக்காது.

And what will his wealth avail him when he goes down (in destruction)?.

நிச்சயமாக நேர்வழி காட்டுதல் நம்மீது (பொறுப்பாக) இருக்கிறது.

Truly! On Us is (to give) guidance.

நிச்சயமாக பிந்தியதும் (மறுமையும்) முந்தியதும் (இம்மையும்) நமக்கே உரியவையாகும்.

And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world).

ஆகவே, (மனிதர்களே!) கொழுந்துவிட்டெரியும் (நரக) நெருப்பைப் பற்றி நான் உங்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரித்து விட்டேன்.

Therefore I have warned you of a blazing Fire (Hell).

மிக்க துர்பாக்கியமுடையவரைத்தவிர (மற்றெவரும்) அதில் புகமாட்டார்.

None shall enter it save the most wretched.

அவர் எத்தகையவரென்றால் (நம் தூதர்கள் கொண்டுவந்த சத்தியத்தை பொய்யாக்கி) புறக்கணித்தும் விட்டனர்.

Who denies and turns away.

மேலும், மிகுந்த பயபக்தியுடையவர் அதிலிருந்து வெகுதூரத்தில் ஆக்கப்படுவார்.

And Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2) will be far removed from it (Hell).

அவர் எத்தகையவரென்றால், (பாவத்திலிருந்து தன்னைப்) பரிசுத்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவராக தன்னுடைய செல்வத்தை தர்மமாகக் கொடுப்பார்.

He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification,

(மனிதர்களில்) எவருக்கும் (தன் தர்மத்தின் மூலம் பிரதிபலனைக் கருதிக்) கொடுக்கப்படும் எந்த உபகாரமும் தம்மிடம் இல்லை.

And who has (in mind) no favour from anyone to be paid back,

மிக்க மேலான தம் இரட்சகனின் முகத்தைத் தேடியே தவிர (வேறு எந்த நோக்கத்துடனும் அவர் செலவு செய்யவில்லை).

Except to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High.

மேலும், (தம் இரட்சகனின் நற்கூலியைக் கொண்டு வெகுவிரைவில்) அவரும் திருப்தியடைவார்.

He surely will be pleased (when he enters Paradise).

முற்பகல் மீது சத்தியமாக!

By the forenoon (after sunrise).¹

1. a) Narrated Ibn Abî Lailâ: Only Umm Hânî told us that she had seen the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم offering the Duha (Forenoon prayer). She said. "On the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم took a bath in my house and offered eight… Show more

   a) Narrated Ibn Abî Lailâ: Only Umm Hânî told us that she had seen the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم offering the Duha (Forenoon prayer). She said. "On the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم took a bath in my house and offered eight Raka‘ât. I never saw him praying such a light prayer but he performed perfect prostrations and bowings". (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.2, Hadith No.207A).

   b) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه : My friend (the Prophet) advised me to observe three things:

   to fast three days a month;

   (2) to pray two Raka‘ât of Duha prayer (Forenoon prayer); and

   (3) to pray Witr before sleeping. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.3, Hadith No.202).

(இருண்ட) இரவின் மீதும் சத்தியமாக – அது ஒடுங்கிவிட்டால் -

By the night when it darkens (and stand still).

(நபியே!) உமதிரட்சகன் உம்மைக் கைவிடவில்லை, (உம்மை) அவன் வெறுக்கவுமில்லை.

Your Lord (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) has neither forsaken you nor hates you.

மேலும், (மறுமையெனும்) பிந்தியதானது (இம்மையெனும்) முந்தியதைவிட உமக்கு மிகச் சிறந்ததாகும்.

And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world).

இன்னும், உமதிரட்சகன் அடுத்து(ப்பல உயர்பதவிகளை) உமக்கு அளிப்பான், அப்போது நீர் திருப்தியடைவீர்.

And verily, your Lord will give you (all good) so that you shall be well-pleased.

உம்மை அவன் அநாதையாகக் கண்டுகொள்ளவில்லையா? ஆகவே, (அரவணைப்புப் பெற்று நீர் ஆறுதல் பெற) அவன் இடம் அளித்தான்.

Did He not find you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) an orphan and gave you a refuge?

மேலும், (வேதம் என்ன மார்க்கம் என்னவென்பதைப்பற்றி) தெரியாதவராக உம்மை அவன் கண்டான், ஆகவே, (அதற்கு) அவன் (உமக்கு) வழி காட்டினான்.

And He found you unaware (of the Qur’ân, its laws, and Prophethood) and guided you?

மேலும், தேவையுடையவராக அவன் உம்மைக் கண்டான், ஆகவே, (உமது தேவையை நிறைவேற்றி உம்மை) தேவையற்றவராக ஆக்கிவிட்டான்.

And He found you poor and made you rich (self-sufficient with self-contentment)?

ஆகவே, நீர் அநாதையைக் கடிந்து கொள்ளாதீர்!

Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression.

இன்னும், (தர்மம்) கேட்பவரை விரட்டாதீர்!

And repulse not the beggar.

மேலும், (உம்மீது புரிந்துள்ள) உமதிரட்சகனின் அருட்கொடையைப்பற்றி (அவனுக்கு நன்றி தெரிவிக்கும்பொருட்டு) அறிவித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பீராக!

And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces).

(நபியே!) உமது நெஞ்சை உமக்காக நாம் விரிவாக்கவில்லையா?

Have We not opened your breast for you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)?

மேலும், உமது சுமையை உம்மைவிட்டும் நாம் இறக்கிவிட்டோம்.

And removed from you your burden.
