இன்னும், நம்முடைய வசனங்களை நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களே, அத்தகையோர் - அவர்கள் இடப்புறத்தையுடையோர்,

But those who disbelieved in Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they are those on the Left Hand (the dwellers of Hell).

அவர்கள்மீது (எல்லாப்பக்கமும்) மூடப்பட்ட நெருப்பு இருக்கும்.

The Fire will be shut over them (i.e. they will be enveloped by the Fire without any opening or window or outlet.¹

   **Ibn Mas‘ûd رضي الله عنه recited this Verse and then said: "When those (who are destined to remain in the Hell-fire forever) will be thrown in the Hell-fire, each of them will be put in a separate Tabût (Box) of Fire, so that he will not see anyone punished in the Hell-fire except he himself." சூரியன் மீதும் அதன் பிரகாசத்தின் மீதும் சத்தியமாக-

By the sun and its brightness.

சந்திரன் மீதும் சத்தியமாக-அது அச்சூரியனாகியதை அடுத்து தொடர்ந்துவிடும்போது-

By the moon as it follows it (the sun).

பகலின் மீதும் சத்தியமாக –அது அச்சூரியனாகியதை வெளிப்படுத்திவிடும்போது-

By the day as it shows up (the sun’s) brightness.

இரவின் மீது சத்தியமாக-அது அ(ச்சூரியனாகிய)தை மூடிக்கொண்டுவிடும்போது-

By the night as it conceals it (the sun).

வானத்தின்மீதும் அதை (ஒழுங்குற) அமைத்தவன் மீதும் சத்தியமாக-

By the heaven and Him Who built it.

பூமியின் மீதும் - அதை விரித்தவன் மீதும் சத்தியமாக-

By the earth and Him Who spread it.

ஆத்மாவின் மீதும்-அதனைச் செவ்வையாக்கியவனின் மீதும் சத்தியமாக-

By Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul), and Him Who perfected him in proportion;

பின்னர், அதற்கு அதன் தீமையையும் அதற்குரிய நன்மையையும் உணர்த்தினான்.

Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him.

எவர் (ஆத்மாவாகிய) அதை பரிசுத்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டாரோ அவர், திட்டமாக வெற்றியடைந்து விட்டார்.

Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allâh ordered, by following the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds).

இன்னும், எவர் அதனை (ப்பாவத்தைக்கொண்டு) களங்கப்படுத்திவிட்டாரோ, அவர் திட்டமாக நஷ்டமடைந்து விட்டார்.

And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself (i.e. disobeys what Allâh has ordered by rejecting the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism or by following polytheism or by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds).

ஸமூது (கூட்டத்தினர் ஸாலிஹ் நபியை) தங்கள் அக்கிரமத்தால் பொய்யாக்கினார்கள்.

Thamûd (people) denied (their Prophet) through their transgression (by rejecting the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism, and by following polytheism, and by committing every kind of sin).

அக்கூட்டத்திலுள்ள மிக துர்பாக்கியமுடையவன் விரைந்து முன்வந்தபொழுது-

When the most wicked man among them went forth (to kill the she-camel).

அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதர் (ஸாலிஹ் நபி) அ(ந்த ஸமூது கூட்டத்த)வர்களிடம் “அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பெண் ஒட்டகத்தை (இம்சிப்பதை)யும் அது தண்ணீர் அருந்துவதையயும் (விட்டுவிடுங்கள்)” என்று கூறினார்.

But the Messenger of Allâh [Sâlih عليه السلام] said to them: "Be cautious! (Fear the evil end). That is the she-camel of Allâh! (Do not harm it) and bar it not from having its drink!"

பின்னர், அவர்கள் அவரைப் பொய்யாக்கி (அதன் கால் நரம்பைத்தறித்து) அதை அறுத்துவிட்டனர்; ஆகவே, அவர்களின் இரட்சகன் அவர்களுடைய (இந்தப்)பாவத்தின் காரணமாக அவர்களின் மீது (மண்ணோடு மண்ணாகிவிடும்) கடும் வேதனையை இறக்கிவைத்து பிறகு அதனை (ச் சகலருக்கும்) சமமாக்கினான்.

Then they denied him and they killed it. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades of people, rich and poor, strong and weak, etc.)!

அதனுடைய முடிவைப்பற்றியும் அவன் பயப்படவில்லை.

And He (Allâh) feared not the consequences thereof.

இரவின்மீது சத்தியமாக – அது (தன் இருளால்) மூடிக்கொள்ளும்போது-

By the night as it envelops.

பகலின் மீது சத்தியமாக – அது தன் பிரகாசத்துடன் வெளிப்படும்போது –

By the day as it appears in brightness.

ஆணையும், பெண்ணையும் படைத்தவனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது சத்தியமாக –

By Him Who created male and female.

(மனிதர்களே!) நிச்சயமாக உங்களுடைய முயற்சி பலதரப்பட்டதாகும்.

Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes);

ஆகவே, எவர் (தன் செல்வத்தை நன்மையானவற்றுக்கு) வழங்கி இன்னும், (அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப்) பயந்து –

As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allâh and fears Him,

இன்னும், (இம்மார்க்கத்திலுள்ள) நல்ல காரியங்களை (நல்ல காரியங்களென) உண்மையாக்கி வைக்கின்றாரோ அவர்

And believes in Al-Husnâ.¹

1. (A) Al-Husnâ: The Best (i.e. either Lâ ilâha illallâh none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh) or a reward from Allâh (i.e. Allâh will compensate him for what he will spend in Allâh’s Way or bless him with Paradise).

அவருக்கு இலேசானதற்கு (சுவர்க்கத்தின் வழியை) நாம் எளிதாக்கி வைத்தோம்.

We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness).

ஆகவே, எவர் உலோபத்தனமும் செய்து (அல்லாஹ்விடமிருக்கும் நற்பேறுகளை விட்டும் தன்னை) தேவையற்றவரா(கக் கருது)கிறாரோ-

But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient.¹

   Narrated ‘Alî رضي الله عنه : We were in the company of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and he said, "There is none among you but has his place written for him, either in Paradise or in the Hell-fire." We said, "O Allâh’s Messenger! Shall we depend (on this fact and give up work)?" He replied, "No! Carry on doing good deeds, for everybody will find easy (to do) such deeds as will lead him to his destined place." Then the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم recited: "As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allâh and fears Him, and believes in Al-Husnâ. We will make smooth for him the path of ease..." (V.92: 5-10) (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.6, Hadith No.472).

(இம்மார்க்கத்திலுள்ள) நல்லவற்றை பொய்ப்படுத்தியும் வைத்தாரோ அவர்,

And belies Al-Husnâ (See the footnote of the Verse No.6)
