10. Yunus

அலிஃப் லாம் றா. இவை தீர்க்கமான அறிவு நிறைந்த இவ்வேதத்தின் வசனங்களாகும்.

Alif-Lâm-Râ. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]. These are the Verses of the Book (the Qur’ân) Al-Hakîm ¹

1. Al-Hakîm: showing lawful and unlawful things, explaining Allâh’s (Divine) Laws for mankind, leading them to eternal happiness by ordering them to follow the true Islâmic Monotheism, -worshipping none but Allâh Alone- that will guide them to Paradise and save them from Hell.

(நபியே!) மனிதர்களுக்கு நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வீராக! (என்றும்) விசுவாசங்கொண்டார்களே அத்தகையோருக்கு நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுக்குத் தங்கள் இரட்சகனிடத்தில் பெரும் பதவியுண்டென்று நீர் நன்மாராயமும் கூறுவீராக! என்று அவர்களில் ஒரு மனிதருக்கு நாம் வஹீ அறிவித்தது மனிதர்களுக்கு ஆச்சரியமாக இருக்கின்றதா? “நிச்சயமாக இவர் தெளிவான ஒரு சூனியக்காரர்” என்று நிராகரிப்போர் கூறினர்.

Is it a wonder for mankind that We have sent Our Revelation¹ to a man from among themselves (i.e. Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) (saying): "Warn mankind (of the coming torment in Hell), and give good news to those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) that they shall have with their Lord the rewards of their good deeds?" (But) the disbelievers say: "This is indeed an evident sorcerer (i.e. Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and the Qur’ân)!

நிச்சயமாக உங்களுடைய இரட்சகன் அல்லாஹ்தான், அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால் வானங்களை மற்றும் பூமியை ஆறு நாட்களில் படைத்தான்; பின்னர் (தன் கண்ணியத்திற்குத் தக்கவாறும், மகத்துவத்திற்குரியவாறும் அர்ஷின் மீதிருப்பது அவனுக்கு எவ்வாறு தகுமோ அவ்வாறே) அவன் அர்ஷின்மீது உயர்ந்து (நிலைபெற்று) விட்டான், (இவைகள் பற்றிய சகல காரியங்களையும் அவனே (திட்டமிட்டு) நிர்வகிக்கின்றான், அவனுடைய அனுமதிக்குப் பின்னரே தவிர (அவனிடம்) பரிந்துரைப்போர் எவருமில்லை, அவன்தான் உங்கள் ரட்சகனாகிய அல்லாஹ்! ஆகவே, அவனையே நீங்கள் வணங்குங்கள், நீங்கள் நினைவு கூறமாட்டீர்களா?

Surely, your Lord is Allâh Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over (Istawâ ) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty), disposing the affair of all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His Leave. That is Allâh, your Lord; so worship Him (Alone). Then, will you not remember?

அவன் பக்கமே அனைவரின் திரும்பிச் செல்லுதல் இருக்கிறது, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்கு உண்மையானது, நிச்சயமாக – அவன்(தான்) படைப்பினங்களை முதல் தடவை (படைக்க) ஆரம்பிக்கிறான், பின்னர், விசுவாசித்து- நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்தோருக்கு நீதமாக (நற்) கூலி கொடுப்பதற்காக (இறந்தபின் மீண்டும் உயிர் கொடுத்து எழுப்பி) அவற்றை மீட்டுவான், இன்னும் நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர் அவர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்ததன் காரணமாக முடிவுறக் காய்ந்த (கொதிநீரின்) பானமும் – மிகத் துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனையுமுண்டு.

To Him is the return of all of you. The Promise of Allâh is true. It is He Who begins the creation and then will repeat it, that He may reward with justice those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and did deeds of righteousness. But those who disbelieved will have a drink of boiling fluids and painful torment because they used to disbelieve.

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், சூரியனை மின்னும் ஒளி மிகுந்ததாகவும், சந்திரனை (வெளிச்சந்தரக்கூடிய) பிரகாசமாகவும் ஆக்கினான், இன்னும் வருடங்களின் எண்ணிக்கையையும் (மாதங்களின்) கணக்கையும் நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வதற்காக (சந்திரனாகிய) அதற்கு தங்குமிடங்களையும், அவன் ஏற்படுத்தினான், உண்மையைக் கொண்டே தவிர இவைகளை அல்லாஹ் படைக்கவில்லை, அறியக்கூடிய சமூகத்தார்க்கு சான்றுகளை (இவ்வாறு) அவன் விவரிக்கின்றான்.

It is He Who made the sun a shining thing and the moon as a light and measured out for it stages that you might know the number of years and the reckoning. Allâh did not create this but in truth. He explains the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail for people who have knowledge.

நிச்சயமாக இரவு மற்றும் பகல் (ஒன்றன்பின் ஒன்றாக) மாறி மாறி வருவதிலும், வானங்களில், மற்றும், பூமியில் அல்லாஹ் படைத்திருப்பவற்றிலும் பயபக்தியுடைய சமூகத்தார்க்குப் பல சான்றுகள் திட்டமாக இருக்கின்றன.

Verily, in the alternation of the night and the day and in all that Allâh has created in the heavens and the earth are Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) for those people who keep their duty to Allâh, and fear Him much.

நிச்சயமாக நம்முடைய சந்திப்பில் ஆர்வம் கொள்ளாது, இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையை பொருந்திக்கொண்டு, இன்னும் அதனைக் கொண்டு திருப்தியடைந்து (அதிலேயே மூழ்கியும்) விட்டார்களே அவர்களும், இன்னும் நம் வசனங்களைப்(புறக்கணித்து) விட்டு மறந்தவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனரே அவர்களும் - (ஆகிய)

Verily, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, but are pleased and satisfied with the life of the present world, and those who are heedless of Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.),

அத்தகையோர், அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த (தீய)வற்றின் காரணமாக அவர்கள் தங்குமிடம் நரகந்தான்.

Those, their abode will be the Fire, because of what they used to earn.

நிச்சயமாக விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, நற்கருமங்களும் செய்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோர் அவர்களுடைய இரட்சகன் அவர்களின், விசுவாசத்தின் காரணமாக அவர்களுக்கு நேர்வழி காட்டுவான், இன்பந்தரும் சுவனங்களில் (வசிக்கும்) அவர்களுக்குக்கீழ் ஆறுகள் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்.

Verily, those who believe,¹ and do deeds of righteousness, their Lord will guide them through their Faith; under them will flow rivers in the Gardens of Delight (Paradise).

1. Who believe in the Oneness of Allâh along with the six articles of Faith, i.e. to believe in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, Day of Resurrection, and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments) - Islâmic Monotheism.

அவற்றில் அவர்களின் பிரார்த்தனையாகிறது “எங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வே! நீ மிகப் பரிசுத்தமானவன் என்பதாகும், அதில் (ஒருவர் மற்றவருக்கு கூறும்) அவர்களுடைய காணிக்ககையாவது “ஸலாமுன் (சாந்தி உண்டாவதாக)” என்பதாகும், இன்னும் புகழனைத்தும், அகிலத்தாரின் இரட்சகனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியது” என்பது அவர்களுடைய பிரார்த்தனையின் முடிவாக இருக்கும்.

Their way of request therein will be Subhânaka Allâhumma (Glory to You, O Allâh!) and Salâm (peace, safety from evil) will be their greetings therein (Paradise)! and the close of their request will be: Al-Hamdu Lillâhi Rabb-il-‘Âlamîn [All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, the Lord of ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)].

மனிதர்களுக்கு நன்மையை அடைய அவர்கள் அவசரப்படுவதைப்போல், (கோபத்தில் மனிதர்கள், தங்களுக்கும் மற்றவர்களுக்கும் பாதகமாக பிரார்த்தித்துக் கேட்ட) தீமையை (அவர்களுக்குத்தர) அல்லாஹ்வும் அவசரப்படமாட்டான், (இது வரையில்) நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுடைய காலம் அவர்களுக்கு முடிக்கப் பெற்றே இருக்கும், ஆகவே, நம்முடைய சந்திப்பில் ஆர்வம் கொள்ளாதவர்களை, அவர்களுடைய வழிகேட்டிலேயே தட்டழிந்து கெட்டலையும்படி (இம்மையில்) நாம், விட்டுவிடுகிறோம்.

And were Allâh to hasten for mankind the evil (they invoke for themselves and for their children. while in a state of anger) as He hastens for them the good (they invoke) then they would have been ruined. So We leave those who expect not their meeting with Us, in their trespasses, wandering blindly in distraction. (Tafsir At-Tabarî)

மனிதனை துன்பம் தீண்டுமானால் (அதனை நீக்குமாறு) அவன் (சாய்ந்து) படுத்தவனாக, அல்லது உட்கார்ந்தவனாக, அல்லது நின்றவனாக நம்மை அவன் (பிரார்த்தித்து) அழைக்கிறான், பின்னர், அவனுடைய துன்பத்தை அவனைவிட்டு நாம் நீக்கிவிட்டோமானால், அவன் தனக்கு ஏற்பட்ட துன்பத்தை நீக்கும்படி நம்மிடம் பிரார்த்தனையே செய்யாதது போல் (புறக்கணித்துச்) சென்று விடுகிறான், வரம்பு மீறுவோருக்கு அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த (தீய)து இவ்வாறு அலங்காரமாக ஆக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது.

And when harm touches man, he invokes Us, lying on his side, or sitting or standing. But when We have removed his harm from him, he passes on as if he had never invoked Us for a harm that touched him! Thus it is made fair-seeming to the Musrifûn¹ that which they used to do.

1. Musrifûn Those who belied Allâh and His Prophets, and transgressed Allâh’s limits by committing all kinds of crimes and sins.

மேலும், (மனிதர்களே!) உங்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்த எத்தனையோ தலைமுறையினரை, அவர்கள் அநியாயம் செய்துவிட்டபோது திட்டமாக நாம் அழித்துவிட்டோம், அவர்களிடம் (நம்மால்) அனுப்பப்பட்ட அவர்களுடைய தூதர்கள் தெளிவான சான்றுகளையே கொண்டுவந்தனர். (அவற்றை) அவர்கள் நம்புபவர்களாகவும் இல்லை, குற்றவாளிகளான சமூகத்தினருக்கு இவ்வாறே நாம் கூலி கொடுத்துத் தண்டி)க்கின்றோம்.

And indeed, We destroyed generations before you when they did wrong, while their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they were not such as to believe! Thus do We requite the people who are Mujrimûn (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals).

பின்னர், நீங்கள் எவ்வாறு செய்கின்றீர்கள் என்று நாம் கவனிப்பதற்காக பூமியில் அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னர் உங்களை (அவர்களுக்கு) பின் தோன்றல்களாக நாம் ஆக்கினோம்.

Then We made you successors after them, generations after generations in the land, that We might see how you would work.

மேலும், அவர்கள் மீது நம்முடைய தெளிவான வசனங்கள் ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டால், (மறுமையில்) நம்முடைய சந்திப்பை (அதன்மூலம் ஏற்படும் தண்டனையை) பயப்படாத (இ)வர்கள் “இதல்லாத (வேறொரு) குர் ஆனை நீர் கொண்டுவாரும் அல்லது (நாங்கள் விரும்புகிறவாறு) இதனை மாற்றிவிடும்” என்று கூறுகின்றனர், (அதற்கு “நீங்கள் விரும்புகின்றவாறு) நான் என் புறத்திலிருந்து இதனை மாற்றிவிட எனக்கு எவ்வித உரிமையுமில்லை, எனக்கு அறிவிக்கப்படுவதைத் தவிர (வேறெதையும்) நான் பின்பற்றுவதில்லை, என்னுடைய இரட்சகனுக்கு நான் மாறு செய்தால், மகத்தான நாளுடைய வேதனையை நிச்சயமாக நான் பயப்படுகிறேன்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!

And when Our clear Verses are recited unto them, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, say: "Bring us a Qur’ân other than this, or change it." Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "It is not for me to change it on my own accord; I only follow that which is revealed unto me. Verily, I fear the torment of the Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) if I were to disobey my Lord."

அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருநதால், நான் இதனை உங்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பித்திருக்க மாட்டேன், இதனை உங்களுக்கு அவன் அறிவித்திருக்கவுமாட்டான், ஆகவே, நிச்சயமாக நான் இதற்கு முன்னரும் நீண்ட காலம் உங்களுடன் திட்டமாக தங்கியிருக்கிறேன், ஆகவே, (இதை) நீங்கள் விளங்கிக்கொள்ளக்கூடாதா? என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "If Allâh had so willed, I should not have recited it to you nor would He have made it known to you. Verily, I have stayed amongst you a life time before this. Have you then no sense?"

ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்வின்மீது பொய்யைக் கற்பனைச் செய்பவனைவிட அல்லது அவனுடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்குபவனைவிட மிகப்பெரிய அநியாயக்காரன் யார்? நிச்சயமாக குற்றவாளிகள் வெற்றியடையமாட்டார்கள்.

So who does more wrong than he who forges a lie against Allâh or denies His Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)? Surely, the Mujrimûn (criminals, sinners, disbelievers and polytheists) will never be successful!

மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி, தங்களுக்கு இடர் அளிக்காதவற்றை இன்னும், தங்களுக்குப் பலன் அளிக்காதவற்றை அவர்கள் வணங்குகிறார்கள், “இவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் எங்களுக்கு பரிந்துரையாளர்கள்” என்றும் அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர், (ஆகவே, நபியே! நீர் அவர்களிடம்) “வானங்களிலோ, பூமியிலோ அல்லாஹ்வுக்குத் தெரியாதவைகளை நீங்கள் அவனுக்கு அறிவிக்கின்றீர்களா? (அவனோ யாவையும் நன்கறிந்தவன்) அவன் மிகப் பரிசுத்தமானவன், அவர்கள் இணைவைப்பவைகளை விட்டும் உயர்வடைந்துவிட்டான்” என்று கூறுவீராக!

And they worship besides Allâh things that harm them not, nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allâh." Say: "Do you inform Allâh of that which He knows not in the heavens and on the earth?" Glorified and Exalted is He above all that which they associate as partners (with Him)!

மேலும், மனிதர்கள் (தொடக்கத்தில்) ஒரே சமுதாயத்தினராகவே தவிர இருக்கவில்லை, பின்னரே அவர்கள் (பிரிந்து) மாறுபட்டுவிட்டனர். மேலும் (ஒவ்வொரு காரியத்திற்கும் தவணை நிர்ணயம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது என்ற) உமது இரட்சகனின் வாக்கு முந்தியிருக்காவிடில், அவர்கள் எதில் மாறுபட்டிருக்கின்றனரோ அதைப்பற்றி அவர்களிடையே முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டேயிருக்கும்.

Mankind were but one community (i.e. on one religion - Islâmic Monotheism), then they differed (later); and had not it been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord, it would have been settled between them regarding what they differed¹].

   Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Every child is born on Al-Fitrah [true faith of Islâmic Monotheism (i.e. to worship none but Allâh Alone)], but his parents convert him to Judaism or Christianity or Magianism, as an animal gives birth to a perfect baby animal. மேலும், “(முன்பிருந்த நபிமார்களுக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டவாறு) ஏதோர் அத்தாட்சி (அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதராகிய) அவர்மீது அவருடைய இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து இறக்கப்பட்டிருக்க வேண்டாமா?” என்றும் அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர், அதற்கு மறைவானவைகள் அல்லாஹ்விற்கே உரியன, ஆகவே, நீங்கள் எதிர்பார்த்திருங்கள், நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுடன் எதிர்பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருப்போரில் இருக்கிறேன்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!

And they say: "How is it that not a sign is sent down on him from his Lord?" Say: "The Unseen belongs to Allâh Alone, so wait you, verily, I am with you among those who wait (for Allâh’s Judgement)."

மேலும், மனிதர்களை-அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்ட துன்பங்களுக்குப்பின் ஒரு அருளைக்கொண்டு இன்பமடையும்படி நாம் செய்தால், அச்சமயம் அவர்கள் நம் வசனங்களில் (தவறான பொருள் கற்பிக்கச்) சூழ்ச்சி செய்வது அவர்களுக்கு (வழக்கமாக) உண்டு, (அதற்கு நபியே! உங்கள் சூழ்ச்சியை முறியடிக்க அல்லாஹ்வின் சூழ்ச்சி முந்திக் கொள்ளும், அவன்) சூழ்ச்சியால் மிகத்தீவிரமானவன் என்று கூறுவீராக! நிச்சயமாக நம்முடைய தூதர்(களாகிய மலக்கு)கள் நீங்கள் செய்யும் சூழ்ச்சிகளை எழுதிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

And when We let mankind taste mercy after some adversity has afflicted them, behold! they take to plotting against Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)! Say: "Allâh is more Swift in planning!" Certainly, Our Messengers (angels) record all of that which you plot.¹

கரையில் மற்றும் கடலில் அவனே உங்களை பயணம் செய்ய வைக்கின்றான், முடிவாக, நீங்கள் கப்பல்களில் இருக்கும்போது நல்ல காற்றுடன் அவர்களை அவைகள் கொண்டு செல்கின்றன, (அவ்வாறு நன்கு அவை செல்லும்) அதனைக் கொண்டு அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியும் அடைந்திருந்த சமயத்தில் புயல்காற்று அதனிடம் வந்துவிட்டது, எல்லா இடங்களிலிருந்து அவர்களிடம் அலைகளும் வந்து விட்டன, நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (அலைகளால்) சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டார்கள், (அதிலிருந்து கரைசேர முடியாது” என்றும் அவர்கள் எண்ணிவிட்டனர், (அப்பொழுது) அல்லாஹ்வை–அவனுக்கே மார்க்கத்தை (வணக்கத்தை) கலப்பற்றதாக்கியவர்களாக (தூய உள்ளத்துடன், “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே!) இதிலிருந்து நீ எங்களை காப்பாற்றி விட்டால் நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் (உனக்கு) நன்றி செலுத்துபவர்களில் உள்ளவர்களாக நாங்கள் இருப்போம்” என்று பிரார்த்திக்கின்றனர்.

He it is Who enables you to travel through land and sea, till when you are in the ships, and they sail with them with a favourable wind, and they are glad therein, then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think that they are encircled therein. Then they invoke Allâh, making their Faith pure for Him Alone, (saying): "If You (Allâh) deliver us from this, we shall truly be of the grateful."¹

ஆகவே, அவன் அவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றியபொழுது, அவர்கள் (கரை சேர்க்கப்பட்ட) அந்நேரமே, நியாயமின்றி பூமியில் அழிச்சாட்டியம் செய்கின்றனர், மனிதர்களே! உங்களுடைய அழிச்சாட்டியமெல்லாம் உங்களுக்கே கேடாக முடியும், (அதனால்) இவ்வுலக வாழக்கையில் சிறிது சுகமனுபவிக்கலாம், பின்னர், நம்மிடமே உங்கள் திரும்புதல் இருக்கிறது, (அப்போது) நீங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவற்றை நாம் உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்து விடுவோம்.

But when He delivers them, behold! they rebel (disobey Allâh) in the earth wrongfully. O mankind! Your rebellion (disobedience to Allâh) is only against your ownselves, - a brief enjoyment of this worldly life, then (in the end) unto Us is your return, and We shall inform you of that which you used to do.

இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையின் உதாரணமெல்லாம் நீரைப் போன்றதாகும், அதை வானத்திலிருந்து நாம் இறக்கி வைத்தோம், அது மனிதர்களும், கால்நடைகளும் புசிக்கக் கூடிய புற்பூண்டு முதலியவைகளுடன் கலந்து (அவை பூத்துக் காய்த்து கதிர்வாங்கி) முடிவாக பூமி தனது செழிப்பை பிடித்து அலங்காரமும் அடைந்தபோது அதன் சொந்தக்காரர்கள், (நாளை) அதன்மீது நிச்சயமாக தாங்கள் அறுவடையை செய்ய) சக்தியுடையவர்கள் என்றும் தங்களை எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர், (அச்சமயம்,) இரவிலோ அல்லது பகலிலோ நம்முடைய கட்டளை வந்து (அதை நாம் அழ்த்துவிட்டோம்.) அதனால், அவை நேற்றைய தினம் அவ்விடத்தில் இல்லாததைப் போன்று அறுவடை செய்யப்பட்டதாக அதை நாம் ஆக்கிவிட்டோம், சிந்தித்துணரக்கூடிய சமூகத்தார்க்கு நாம் (நம்முடைய) வசனங்களை இவ்வாறே (தெளிவாக) விவரிக்கிறோம்.

Verily, the likeness of (this) worldly life is as the water (rain) which We send down from the sky; so by it arises the intermingled produce of the earth of which men and cattle eat: until when the earth is clad in its adornments and is beautified, and its people think that they have all the powers of disposal over it, Our Command reaches it by night or by day and We make it like a clean-mown harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday! Thus do We explain the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, laws, etc.) in detail for the people who reflect.

(மனிதர்களே!) அல்லாஹ்வோ சாந்தி அளிக்கக்கூடிய (சுவன) வீட்டின்பால் (உங்களை) அழைக்கின்றான், மேலும், அவன் நாடியவர்களை (அதற்குரிய) நேரான வழியின்பால் செலுத்துகிறான்.

Allâh calls to the Home of Peace (i.e. Paradise, by accepting Allâh’s religion of Islâmic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds and abstaining from polytheism and evil deeds) and guides whom He wills to the Straight Path.

நன்மை செய்தவர்களுக்கு(க்கூலி) நன்மையும், (அவர்கள் செய்ததைவிட) இன்னும் அதிகமும் (-அல்லாஹ்வின் கண்ணியமான முகத்தைக் காணும் பாக்கியமும்) உண்டு, அவர்கள் முகங்களை (துக்கத்தின் காரணமாக தூசிபடிந்தது போன்று) இருளோ அல்லது இழிவோ சூழந்து கொள்ளாது, நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் சுவனவாசிகள், அவர்கள் அதில் நிரந்தரமாக(த் தங்கி) இருப்பவர்கள்.

For those who have done good is the best (reward, i.e. Paradise) and even more (i.e. having the honour of glancing at the Countenance of Allâh جل جلاله). Neither darkness nor dust nor any humiliating disgrace shall cover their faces. They are the dwellers of Paradise, they will abide therein forever.

மேலும், தீமைகளைச் சம்பாதித்தார்களே அத்தகையோர் அவர்களை இழிவு சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளும், அல்லாஹ்வின் வேதனையிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு, பாதுகாப்பவர் (எவரும்) இல்லை, இருண்ட இருளையுடைய இரவின் ஒருபாகத்தால் அவர்களுடைய முகங்கள் மூடப்பட்டது போன்று (காணப்படும்.) அவர்கள் நரகவாசிகள், அவர்கள் அதில் நிரந்தரமாக(த் தங்கி) இருப்பவர்கள்.

And those who have earned evil deeds, the recompense of an evil deed is the like thereof, and humiliating disgrace will cover them (their faces). No defender will they have from Allâh. Their faces will be covered as it were with pieces from the darkness of night. They are the dwellers of the Fire, they will abide therein forever.

மேலும், அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் நாம் ஒன்று திரட்டும் நாளை (நபியே! அவர்களுக்கு நினைவு கூர்வீராக!) பின்னர், இணைவைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்களே அவர்களுக்கு “நீங்களும் (அல்லாஹ்வின் வணக்கத்தில் கூட்டாக்கிய) உங்கள் இணையாளர்களும் உங்கள் இடத்திலேயே (அதை விட்டு நகராது) நில்லுங்கள்” என்று கூறுவோம், (பின்னர்) “எங்களை நீங்கள் வணங்கக் கூடியவர்களாக இருக்கவே இல்லை என்று அவர்களின் இணையாளர்கள் கூறியவர்களாக இருக்க அவர்களுக்கு மத்தியில் (இருந்த தொடர்பை நீக்கி) நாம் பிரித்து விடுவோம்.

And the Day whereon We shall gather them all together, then We shall say to those who did set partners in worship with Us: "Stop at your place! You and your partners (whom you had worshipped in the worldly life)." then We shall separate them, and their (Allâh’s so-called) partners shall say: "It was not us that you used to worship."

“ஆகவே, எங்களுக்கும் உங்களுக்குமிடையில் அல்லாஹ்வே சாட்சியாக இருக்கப்போதுமானவன், உங்கள் வணக்கத்தைப்பற்றி நிச்சயமாக, நாங்கள் அறியாதவர்களாக இருந்தோம்” (என்றும் கூறுவர்).

"So sufficient is Allâh as a witness between us and you that we indeed knew nothing of your worship of us."

அவ்விடத்தில் ஒவ்வோர் ஆத்மாவும் தான் முற்படுத்தியதைச் சோதித்து(க்கண் கூடாகப்பார்த்து)க் கொள்ளும், மேலும், அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய உண்மையான அதிபதியாகிய அல்லாஹ்வின் பக்கமே திருப்பப்படுவார்கள், அவர்கள் (பொய்யாகக்)கற்பனை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார்களே அவை அவர்களை விட்டு மறைந்தும் விடும்.

There! Every person will know (exactly) what he had earned before and they will be brought back to Allâh, their rightful Maulâ (Lord), and their invented false deities will vanish from them.

“வானத்திலிருந்தும் பூமியிலிருந்தும் உங்களுக்கு உணவளிப்பவன் யார்? அல்லது செவிப்புலனையும், பார்வைகளையும் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டிருப்பவன் யார்?” இறந்ததிலிருந்து உயிருள்ளதை வெளிப்படுத்துபவனும் உயிருள்ளதிலிருந்து இறந்ததை வெளிப்படுத்துபவனும் யார்? (அகிலத்தாரின் சகல காரியங்களைத் திட்டமிட்டு நிகழ்த்துபவனும் யார்?” என நபியே! நீர் (அவர்களைக்) கேட்பீராக!! அ(தற்க)வர்கள் அல்லாஹ்தான் என்று கூறுவார்கள், அவ்வாறாயின், “(அவனுக்கு) நீங்கள் பயப்படமாட்டீர்களா?” என்று நீர் கூறுவீராக!

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Who provides for you from the sky and the earth? Or who owns hearing and sight? And who brings out the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living? And who disposes the affairs?" They will say: "Allâh." Say: "Will you not then be afraid of Allâh’s punishment (for setting up rivals in worship with Allâh)?"

(இத்தகைய தகுதிகளுக்குறிய) அவன்தான் உங்களுடைய உண்மையான இரட்சகனாகிய அல்லாஹ், இந்த உண்மைக்குப் பின்னர், வழிகேட்டைத் தவிர வேறு (எஞ்சியிருப்பது) யாது? (இவ்வுண்மையை விட்டு) நீங்கள் எங்கு திருப்பப்படுகிறீர்கள்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கேட்பீராக!

Such is Allâh, your Lord in truth. So after the truth, what else can there be, save error? How then are you turned away?

“(இவர்கள் நிராகரித்த) இவ்வாறே பாவம் செய்பவர்கள் மீது நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் விசுவாசங்கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்” என்ற உமதிரட்சகனின் வாக்கு உண்மையாகிவிட்டது.

Thus is the Word of your Lord justified against those who rebel (disobey Allâh) that they will not believe (in the Oneness of Allâh and in Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم as the Messenger of Allâh).

“உங்களுடைய இணையாளர்களில் தொடக்கமாகப் படைப்பைத் தொடங்கி (அது அழிந்த) பின்னர் அதனை மீட்டுபவர் (யாரேனும்) உண்டா? என்று நபியே!) நீர் கேட்பீராக! (நீரே அவர்களிடம்) அல்லாஹ்தான் சிருஷ்டிகளை முதலாவதாக உற்பத்தி செய்து (அவை மரித்த) பின்னர், அவற்றை அவன் மீளவைப்பான்” (என்று கூறி, “இந்த உண்மையை விட்டு) நீங்கள் எப்படித்தான் திருப்பப்படுகின்றீர்கள்?”, என்று நீர் கேட்பீராக!

Say: "Is there of your (Allâh’s called) partners one that originates the creation and then repeats it?" Say: "Allâh originates the creation and then He repeats it. Then how are you deluded away (from the truth)?"

“உங்களுடைய இணையாளர்களில் சத்தியத்தின்பால் வழிகாட்டுபவர் உண்டா?” என்று நீர் கேட்பீராக! (நீரே அவர்களிடம்) “அல்லாஹ்தான் சத்திய (மார்க்க)த்திற்கு வழி காட்டுகிறான்”, எனக் கூறுவீராக! சத்தியத்திற்கு வழிகாட்டுபவன் பின்பற்றப்பட மிக உரியவனா? அல்லது வழிகாட்டப்பட்டாலேயன்றி நேர் வழியை அடைய மாட்டானே அ(வன் பின்பற்றத்தக்க)வனா? உங்களுக்கு என்ன (கேடு) நேர்ந்தது? (இதற்கு) மாறாக நீங்கள் எவ்வாறு தீர்ப்பளிக்கிறீர்கள்?

Say: "Is there of your (Allâh’s so-called) partners one that guides to the truth?" Say: "It is Allâh Who guides to the truth. Is then He Who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? Then, what is the matter with you? How judge you?"

மேலும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (அவசியமில்லாத) எண்ணத்தையேயன்றி (வேறெதையும்) பின்பற்றுவதில்லை, நிச்சயமாக (அவசியமில்லாத) எண்ணம் உண்மையை அறிவதற்கு ஒரு சிறிதும் பயன்படாது, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் செய்பவைகளை நன்கறிந்தவன்.

And most of them follow nothing but conjecture. Certainly, conjecture can be of no avail against the truth. Surely, Allâh is All-Aware of what they do.

இன்னும், இந்தக் குர் ஆன் அல்லாஹ்வால் இறக்கப்பட்டதே தவிர (மற்றெவராலும்) பொய்யாகக் கற்பனை செய்யப்பட்டதன்று, எனினும், (இது) இதற்கு முன்னுள்ள (வேதங்களான)தை உண்மையாக்கி வைத்தது, வேதத்தை (அதிலுள்ளவற்றை) விவரித்துக் கூறுவதாகவும் இருக்கிறது, அகிலத்தாரின் இரட்சகனிடமிருந்துள்ள இதில் எந்தச் சந்தேகமும் இல்லை.

And this Qur’ân is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allâh (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the revelation)¹ which was before it [i.e. the Taurât (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel)], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. laws, decreed for mankind) - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists).

   Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "There was no Prophet among the Prophets but was given miracles because of which people had security or had belief, but what I have been given is the Divine Revelation which Allâh has revealed to me. So I hope that my followers will be more than those of any other Prophet on the Day of Resurrection." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.9, Hadith No.379).

அல்லது (குர் ஆனாகிய) இதனை (நம்முடைய தூதராகிய) “அவர் (பொய்யாகக்)கற்பனை செய்து கொண்டார்” என அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனரா? (அவ்வாறெனின் நபியே! அவர்களிடம் “உங்கள் கூற்றில்) நீங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாக இருந்தால் அதனைப் போன்ற ஒரு அத்தியாயத்தைக் கொண்டு வாருங்கள், அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி உங்களுக்குச் சாத்தியமானவர்களையும் (உங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்ய) அழைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்று நீர் கூறுவீராக!

Or do they say: "He (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a Sûrah (chapter) like unto it, and call upon whomsoever you can besides Allâh, if you are truthful!"

மாறாக (குர் ஆனாகிய) அதன் அறிவை(ப் பற்றி) அவர்கள் தெரிந்து கொள்ள முடியாததையும், அதன் விளக்கம் பற்றி அவர்களுக்கு வராதவற்றையும் அவர்கள் பொய்யாக்குகின்றனர், அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களும் இவ்வாறே (அவற்றைப்) பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர், ஆகவே, அந்த அநியாயக்காரர்களின் முடிவு எப்படியிருந்தது என்பதை (நபியே) நீர் பார்ப்பீராக.

Nay, they have belied the knowledge whereof they could not comprehend and what has not yet been fulfilled (i.e. their punishment). Thus those before them did belie. Then see what was the end of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers)!

மேலும், அவர்களில் (குர் ஆனாகிய) இதனை விசுவாசிப்பவரும் உள்ளனர், அவர்களில் இதனை விசுவாசங் கொள்ளாதோரும் உள்ளனர், இன்னும், உம்முடைய இரட்சகன் குழப்பக்காரர்களை மிக அறிந்தவன்.

And of them there are some who believe therein; and of them there are some who believe not therein, and your Lord is All-Aware of the Mufsidûn (evil-doers, liars).
