الٓر ۚ كِتَـٰبٌ أُحْكِمَتْ ءَايَـٰتُهُۥ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ
அலிஃப் லாம் றா. (இது அல்லாஹ்வின்) வேதம், இதன் வசனங்கள் உறுதியாக்கப்பட்டு, அதன்பின்னர் அவை தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன், நன்கறிந்தவனிடமிருந்து தெளிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன.
Alif-Lâm-Râ. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]. (This is) a Book, the Verses whereof are perfected (in every sphere of knowledge), and then explained in detail from One (Allâh) Who is All-Wise Well-Acquainted (with all things).
أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّنِى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ وَبَشِيرٌ
“நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர (வேறு யாரையும்) வணங்காதீர்கள், அவனிடமிருந்து உங்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக நான் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவனாகவும், நற்செய்தி கூறுபவனாகவும் இருக்கிறேன் (என்றும்),
(Saying) worship none but Allâh. Verily, I (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) am unto you from Him a warner and a bringer of glad tidings.
وَأَنِ ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُم مَّتَـٰعًا حَسَنًا إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِى فَضْلٍ فَضْلَهُۥ ۖ وَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ كَبِيرٍ
மேலும், “நீங்கள் உங்கள் இரட்சகனிடத்தில் பாவ மன்னிப்பைத் தேடுங்கள், அதன் பின்னர் (பாவங்களை விட்டு தவ்பாச்செய்து) அவன் பக்கம் திரும்புங்கள், (அவ்வாறு செய்தால்) அவன் குறிப்பிட்ட ஒரு காலம் வரையில் உங்களை அழகாக சுகமாக சுகமடையச் செய்வான், இன்னும், சிறப்பிற்குரியவர் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அவரது சிறப்பை அவன் கொடுப்பான், நீங்கள் (அவனைப்) புறக்கணித்தால் (மா)பெரும் நாளின் வேதனையை நிச்சயமாக உங்கள் மீது நான் பயப்படுகின்றேன்” (என்றும்),
And (commanding you): "Seek the forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance, that He may grant you good enjoyment, for a term appointed, and bestow His abounding Grace to every owner of grace (i.e. the one who helps and serves the needy and deserving, physically and with his wealth, and even with good words). But if you turn away, then I fear for you the torment of a Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).
إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
அல்லாஹ்வின் பக்கமே உங்கள் மீளுமிடம் இருக்கிறது, அவன் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையவன்” (என்றும் நபியே! நீர் கூறுவீராக.)
To Allâh is your return, and He is Able to do all things."
أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ يَثْنُونَ صُدُورَهُمْ لِيَسْتَخْفُوا۟ مِنْهُ ۚ أَلَا حِينَ يَسْتَغْشُونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
(மனிதர்கள்) தங்களை (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவனிடமிருந்து மறைத்துக் கொள்வதற்காக, தங்கள் நெஞ்சங்களைச் சுற்றி (மறைத்து)க் கொள்கின்றனர் என்பதை (நபியே! நீர்) அறிந்து கொள்வீராக! (நித்திரைக்குச் செல்லும்போது) அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஆடைகளால், தங்களை மூடிக் கொள்ளும் சமயத்தில் (தங்கள் நெஞ்சங்களில்) அவர்கள் இரகசியமாக்குவதையும், (அதற்கு மாறாக) அவர்கள் பகிரங்கப்படுத்துவதையும் அவன் (நன்கு) அறிகிறவன் என்பதை (நீர்) அறிந்து கொள்வீராக! நிச்சயமாக அவன் நெஞ்சங்களிலுள்ளவற்றை நன்கறிகிறவன்.
No doubt! They did fold up their breasts, that they may hide from Him. Surely, even when they cover themselves with their garments, He knows what they conceal and what they reveal. Verily, He is the All-Knower of the (innermost secrets) of the breasts.
۞ وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا ۚ كُلٌّ فِى كِتَـٰبٍ مُّبِينٍ
பூமியிலுள்ள எந்த ஊர்வனவும் அவற்றின் உணவு, அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது (பொறுப்பாக) இருந்தே தவிர இல்லை, அவை தங்குமிடத்தையும், அவை ஒப்படைக்கப்ப(ட்)டு (சேரு)மிடத்தையும் அவன் (நன்கு) அறிகிறவன் (இவை யாவும் (லவ்ஹூல் மஹ்ஃபூல் என்னும்) தெளிவான புத்தகத்தில் (பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு) இருக்கின்றன.
And no moving (living) creature is there on earth but its provision is due from Allâh. And He knows its dwelling place and its deposit (in the uterus, grave). All is in a Clear Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz - the Book of Decrees with Allâh).
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلْمَآءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ۗ وَلَئِن قُلْتَ إِنَّكُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ
அவன் எத்தகையோனென்றால், வானங்கள், மற்றும் பூமியை ஆறு நாட்களில் படைத்தான்-(அச்சமயம்) அவனுடைய ‘அர்ஷு’ தண்ணீரின் மீதிருந்தது, உங்களில் நற்கருமங்களை நன்றாகச் செய்வோர் யார் என்று உங்களை அவன் சோதிப்பதற்காக (அவன் படைத்தான்.) மேலும், “இறந்த பின்னர் நிச்சயமாக (உயிர்கொடுத்து) நீங்கள் எழுப்பப்படுபவர்கள்” என்று அவர்களிடம் நீர் கூறினால் அதற்கு “இது பகிரங்கமான சூனியமே தவிர வேறில்லை” என்று நிச்சயமாக நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருப்போர் கூறுகின்றனர்.
And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days and His Throne was on the water, that He might try you, which of you is the best in deeds. But if you were to say to them: "You shall indeed be raised up after death," those who disbelieve would be sure to say, "This is nothing but obvious magic.1"
Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "The Right (Hand) of Allâh is full, and (its fullness) is not affected by the continuous spending night and day. Do you see what He has spent since He created the heavens and the earth?… Show more
Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "The Right (Hand) of Allâh is full, and (its fullness) is not affected by the continuous spending night and day. Do you see what He has spent since He created the heavens and the earth? Yet all that has not decreased what is in His Right Hand. His Throne is over the water and in His other Hand is the Bounty or the Power to bring about death, and He raises some people and brings others down." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.9, Hadith No.515)
وَلَئِنْ أَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍ مَّعْدُودَةٍ لَّيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهُۥٓ ۗ أَلَا يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوفًا عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
அவர்களுக்கு வேதனையை ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட காலம் நாம் பிற்படுத்தினால், “அதனைத் தடுத்துக் கொண்டது எது?” என(த்திட்டமாக) அவர்கள் கேட்கின்றார்கள், அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்! அவர்களிடம் அது வரும் நாளில், அவர்களை விட்டு அது தடுக்கப்படுவதாக இல்லை, இன்னும், அவர்கள் எதைப் பரிகாசம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார்களோ அது அவர்களைச் சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளும்.
And if We delay the torment for them till a determined term, they are sure to say, "What keeps it back?" Verily, on the day it reaches them, nothing will turn it away from them, and they will be surrounded by (or fall in) that at which they used to mock!
وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً ثُمَّ نَزَعْنَـٰهَا مِنْهُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيَـُٔوسٌ كَفُورٌ
மேலும், நாம் மனிதனுக்கு நம்மிடமிருந்து அருளை சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்து பின்னர் அதனை அவனிடமிருந்து நாம் பிடுங்கிக் கொண்டால், நிச்சயமாக அவன் நம்பிக்கையிழந்தவன், பெரும் நன்றி கெட்டவன் (ஆக மாறி விடுகிறான்.)
And if We give man a taste of Mercy from Us, and then withdraw it from him, verily! he is despairing, ungrateful.
وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَـٰهُ نَعْمَآءَ بَعْدَ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتُ عَنِّىٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَفَرِحٌ فَخُورٌ
மேலும், அவனுக்கு ஏற்பட்ட துன்பத்திற்குப் பின் அருட்கொடைகளை அவனுக்கு நாம் சுவைக்கச் செய்தால், அ(தற்க)வன், “என்னை விட்டும் துன்பங்கள் போய்விட்டன” என்று நிச்சயமாக கூறுகின்றான், நிச்சயமாக அவன் மகிழ்ச்சியடையக்கூடியவன், பெருமையடிப்பவன் (ஆக மாறி விடுகின்றான்.)
But if We let him taste good (favour) after evil (poverty and harm) has touched him, he is sure to say: "Ills have departed from me." Surely, he is exultant, and boastful (ungrateful to Allâh).
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ
(துன்பங்களைச் சகித்துப்) பொறுத்துக்கொண்டு, நன்மையான காரியங்களைச் செய்தும் வருகின்றார்களே அத்தகையவர்களைத் தவிர-அத்தகையோர்-அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பும், மாபெரும் (நற்) கூலியும் உண்டு.
Except those who show patience and do righteous good deeds: those, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (Paradise).
فَلَعَلَّكَ تَارِكٌۢ بَعْضَ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَضَآئِقٌۢ بِهِۦ صَدْرُكَ أَن يَقُولُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ جَآءَ مَعَهُۥ مَلَكٌ ۚ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ نَذِيرٌ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَكِيلٌ
ஆகவே (நபியே!) “அவர் மீது ஒரு பொக்கிஷம் இறக்கிவைக்கப்பட்டிருக்க வேண்டாமா,? அல்லது அவருடன் ஒரு மலக்கு வர வேண்டாமா?” என்று அவர்கள் (உம்மைப்பற்றி) கூறுவதற்காக, உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவிக்கப்படுகின்றவற்றில் சிலதை (எத்தி வைக்காது) நீர் விட்டுவிடக்கூடும், உம்முடைய நெஞ்சம் (வஹீ மூலம் அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட) அதைக்கொண்டு இக்கட்டுக்குள்ளாகிவிடக்கூடும், நிச்சயமாக நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவர் தான், அல்லாஹ்வோ ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் பொறுப்பாளனாவான்.
So perchance you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) may give up a part of what is revealed unto you, and that your breast feels straitened for it because they say, "Why has not a treasure been sent down unto him, or an angel has come with him?" But you are only a warner. And Allâh is a Wakîl (Disposer of affairs, Trustee, Guardian) over all things.
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۖ قُلْ فَأْتُوا۟ بِعَشْرِ سُوَرٍ مِّثْلِهِۦ مُفْتَرَيَـٰتٍ وَٱدْعُوا۟ مَنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ
அல்லது (நமது தூதராகிய) “அவர் இதனைக் கற்பனை செய்துவிட்டார்” என்று அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனரா? (அவ்வாறாயின், நபியே!) “இதைப் போன்று கற்பனை செய்யப்பட்ட பத்து அத்தியாயங்களை நீங்கள் கொண்டு வாருங்கள், (நீங்கள் உங்கள் கூற்றில்) உண்மையாளர்களாக இருந்தால், அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி உங்களுக்குச் சத்தியமானவர்களையும் (இதுபோன்றதைக் கொண்டு வருவதற்காக) அழைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்று நீர் கூறுவீராக!
Or they say, "He (Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) forged it (the Qur’an)." Say: "Bring you then ten forged Sûrahs (chapters) like unto it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allâh (to your help), if you speak the truth!"
فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ بِعِلْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَن لَّآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
அவர்கள் உங்களுக்கு பதிலளிக்கவில்லையானால், நிச்சயமாக அது இறக்கப்பட்டதெல்லாம் அல்லாஹ்வின் அறிவைக் கொண்டேதான், அவனைத் தவிர வணக்கத்திற்குரிய (வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை என்பதையும் அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், (இப்போதாவது) நீங்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு) முற்றிலும் கீழ்ப்படிந்த முஸ்லிம்களாக ஆகிவிடுகிறீர்களா? (என்று கேளுங்கள்.)
If then they answer you not, know then that it [the Revelation (this Qur’ân)] is sent down with the Knowledge of Allâh and that Lâ ilâha illa Huwa: (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! Will you then be Muslims (those who submit in Islâm)?
مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يُبْخَسُونَ
எவர்கள், இவ்வுலக வாழ்வையும், அதன் அலங்காரத்தையும் நாடுபவர்களாக இருக்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்கள் செயல்க(ளுக்குரிய பலன்க)ளை, இவ்வுலகத்திலேயே நாம் பூரணமாக அவர்களுக்கு நிறைவு செய்வோம், அவர்களோ அதில் குறைவு செய்யப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.
Whosoever desires the life of the world and its glitter, to them We shall pay in full (the wages of) their deeds therein, and they will have no diminution therein.
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ إِلَّا ٱلنَّارُ ۖ وَحَبِطَ مَا صَنَعُوا۟ فِيهَا وَبَـٰطِلٌ مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
இத்தகையோர் தாம்-அவர்களுக்கு மறுமையில் (நரக) நெருப்பைத்தவிர (வேறு ஒன்றும்) இல்லை, அவர்கள் அ(வ்வுலகத்)தில் செய்தவை அழிந்தும் விட்டன, அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவை வீணானவையேயாகும்.
They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but Fire, and vain are the deeds they did therein. And of no effect is that which they used to do.
أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ وَيَتْلُوهُ شَاهِدٌ مِّنْهُ وَمِن قَبْلِهِۦ كِتَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِمَامًا وَرَحْمَةً ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ ۚ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ فَٱلنَّارُ مَوْعِدُهُۥ ۚ فَلَا تَكُ فِى مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
நம் இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து வந்த தெளிவின் மீது இருப்பவர், (அதன் உண்மைக்குச் சான்றாக) அவனிடமிருந்து அவரை ஒரு சாட்சியும் அடுத்திருக்க இன்னும் அதற்கு முன்பு மூஸாவுடைய வேதம் வழிகாட்டியாகவும் அருளாகவும் இருக்க அ(த்தகைய)வரா? (நிராகரிப்போர் போன்று ஆவார்? ஆக மாட்டார்.) அத்தகைய (ஆதாரங்களைக் கொண்ட)வர்களே அவரை நம்பிக்கை கொள்வார்கள், மேலும், பல கூட்டத்தார்களிலிருந்து அவரை எவர் நிராகரிப்பாரோ, அப்பொழுது நரகமே அவருக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட இடமாகும், ஆகவே, அ(வ்வேதத்)தைப் பற்றி நீர் சந்தேகத்தில் இருக்க வேண்டாம், நிச்சயமாக அது உம்முடைய இரட்கசனிடமிருந்து (வந்து)ள்ள உண்மையாகும், எனினும், மனிதர்களில் அதிகமானோர் (அதனை) நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்.
Can they (Muslims) who rely on a clear proof (the Qur’ân) from their Lord, and whom a witness [Jibril (Gabriel عليه السلام)] from Him recites (follows) it (can they be equal with the disbelievers); and before it, came the Book of Mûsâ (Moses), a guidance and a mercy, they believe therein, but those of the sects (Jews, Christians and all the other non-Muslim nations) that reject it (the Qur’ân), the Fire will be their promised meeting-place. So be not in doubt about it (i.e. those who denied Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم and also denied all that which he brought from Allâh. Surely, they will enter Hell). Verily, it is the truth from your Lord, but most of the mankind believe not.1

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْأَشْهَـٰدُ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ أَلَا لَعْنَةُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வின்மீது பொய்யைக் கற்பனை செய்பவரைவிட மிகப் பெரிய அநியாயக்காரர் யார்? அத்தகையோர் (மறுமையில்) தங்கள் இரட்சகன் முன் நிறுத்தப்படுவர், மேலும், “இவர்கள் தாம் தங்கள் இரட்சகன் மீது பொய்யுரைத்தவர்கள்” என்று (மலக்குகளான) சாட்சிகள் கூறுவார்கள், அநியாயக்காரர்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ்வின் சாபம் உண்டென்பதை (நபியே! நீர்) அறிந்து கொள்வீராக!
And who does more wrong than he who invents a lie against Allâh. Such will be brought before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord!" No doubt! the curse of Allâh is on the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers, oppressors).1
The Statement of Allâh عز وجل: "The witnesses will say: ‘These are the ones who lied against their Lord...’"

The Statement of Allâh عز وجل: "The witnesses will say: ‘These are the ones who lied against their Lord...’"
Narrated Safwân bin Muhriz: While Ibn ‘Umar was performing the Tawâf (around the Ka‘bah), a man came up to him and said, "O Abu ‘Abdur-Rahmân!" or said, "O Ibn ‘Umar! Did you hear anything from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم about An-Najwâ?"* Ibn ‘Umar said, "I heard the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم saying, ‘The believer will be brought near his Lord.’" (Hishâm, a subnarrator said, reporting the Prophet’s words), "The believer will come near (his Lord) till his Lord covers him with His Screen and makes him confess his sins. (Allâh will ask him). ‘Do you know (that you did) such-and-such a sin.’ He will say twice, ‘Yes, I know I did commit those sins.’ Then Allâh will say, ‘I did screen your sins in the world and I forgive them for you today.’ Then the record of his good deeds will be folded up [i.e. the record (Book) of his good deeds will be given to him]. As for the others or the disbelievers, it will be announced publicly before the witnesses: ‘These are the ones who lied against their Lord.’ " (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.6, Hadith No.207).
* An-Najwâ: the private talk between Allâh and His slave on the Day of Resurrection. It also means, a secret counsel or conference or consultation.
ٱلَّذِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا وَهُم بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمْ كَـٰفِرُونَ
அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை விட்டும் (அதில் செல்வோரைத்)தடுத்து அதைக் கோணலாக்கத் தேடுகிறார்கள், அவர்கள்தாம் மறுமையையும் நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் ஆவார்கள்.
Those who hinder (others) from the Path of Allâh (Islâmic Monotheism), and seek a crookedness therein, while they are disbelievers in the Hereafter.
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ مُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۘ يُضَـٰعَفُ لَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۚ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يُبْصِرُونَ
அத்தகையோர் - பூமியில் (அல்லாஹ்வை) இயலாமையில் ஆக்கக் கூடியவர்களாக அவர்கள் இருக்கவில்லை, மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி அவர்களுக்கு பாதுகாவலர்களுமில்லை, (மறுமையிலோ) அவர்களுக்கு வேதனை இரட்டிப்பாக்கப்படும், (நல்லவற்றை) செவியேற்கச் சக்தியுடையோராக அவர்கள் இருக்கவில்லை, (நேர்வழியைப்) பார்ப்போராகவும் அவர்கள் இருக்கவில்லை.
By no means will they escape (from Allâh’s Torment) on earth, nor have they protectors besides Allâh! Their torment will be doubled! They could not bear to hear (the preachers of the truth) and they used not to see (the truth because of their severe aversion, in spite of the fact that they had the sense of hearing and sight).
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ
அத்தகையோர்தாம், தமக்குத்தாமே, நஷ்டத்தை விளைவித்துக் கொண்டவர்கள், அவர்கள் கற்பனை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவை (அந்நாளில்) அவர்களை விட்டும் மறைந்துவிடும்.
They are those who have lost their ownselves, and their invented false deities will vanish from them.
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ
நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் - மறுமையில் அவர்களே முற்றிலும் நஷ்டமடைந்தவர்கள் என்பதில் சந்தேகமில்லை.
Certainly, they are those who will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَأَخْبَتُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ
நிச்சயமாக விசுவாசங்கொண்டு நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்து தங்களுடைய இரட்சகன் பக்கம் அடிபணியவும் செய்கின்றார்களே அத்தைகையோர் - அவர்கள் சுவனத்திற்குரியவர்கள், அவர்கள், அதில் நிரந்தரமாக(த் தங்கி) இருப்பவர்கள்.
Verily, those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and humble themselves (in repentance and obedience) before their Lord, they will be dwellers of Paradise to dwell therein forever.
۞ مَثَلُ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ كَٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْأَصَمِّ وَٱلْبَصِيرِ وَٱلسَّمِيعِ ۚ هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلًا ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
இவ்விரு பிரிவினருக்கு உதாரணம்: (ஒரு பிரிவினர்) குருடரையும், செவிடரையும், (மற்றொரு பிரிவினர்) பார்வையுடையவரையும், நன்கு கேட்பவரையும் போலாவர், இவ்விரு பிரிவினரும் தன்மையால் சமமாவார்களா? (இதனைக் கொண்டு நீங்கள் நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெற மாட்டீர்களா?
The likeness of the two parties is as the blind and the deaf and the seer and the hearer. Are they equal when compared? Will you not then take heed?
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنِّى لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
மேலும், நிச்சயமாக நாம் நூஹை அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரிடம் அனுப்பி வைத்தோம், நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுக்குப் பகிரங்கமாக அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறவன்” (என்று அவர் கூறினார்)
And indeed We sent Nûh (Noah) to his people (and he said): "I have come to you as a plain warner."
أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ
“அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர (மற்றெதையும்) நீங்கள் வணங்காதீர்கள், (அவ்வாறு மற்றெதையும் நீங்கள் வணங்கினால்) துன்புறுத்தும் நாளின் வேதனையைப் பற்றி நிச்சயமாக உங்களின் மீது நான் பயப்படுகின்றேன்” (என்று கூறினார்).
"That you worship none but Allâh; surely, I fear for you the torment of a painful Day."
فَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦ مَا نَرَىٰكَ إِلَّا بَشَرًا مِّثْلَنَا وَمَا نَرَىٰكَ ٱتَّبَعَكَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ أَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِىَ ٱلرَّأْىِ وَمَا نَرَىٰ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِن فَضْلٍۭ بَلْ نَظُنُّكُمْ كَـٰذِبِينَ
அதற்கு அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரில் நிராகரித்தோரின் பிரதானிகள் (நூஹிடம்) உம்மை எங்களைப் போன்ற ஒரு மனிதராகவே தவிர (வேறு விதமாக) நாங்கள் காணவில்லை, இன்னும் எங்களில் ஆழ்ந்து சிந்திக்காத இழிவானவர்களே தவிர (வேறெவரும்) உம்மைப் பின்பற்றி நடப்பதாக நாங்கள் காணவில்லை, உங்களுக்கு எங்களை விட எந்தச்சிறப்பும் இருப்பதாக நாங்கள் காணவில்லை, மாறாக உங்களைப் பொய்யர்களெனவே நாங்கள் எண்ணுகின்றோம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.
The chiefs who disbelieved among his people said: "We see you but a man like ourselves, nor do we see any follow you but the meanest among us and they (too) followed you without thinking. And we do not see in you any merit above us, in fact we think you are liars."
قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَىٰنِى رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَعُمِّيَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنتُمْ لَهَا كَـٰرِهُونَ
அ(தற்க)வர் கூறினார், “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! நீங்கள் கவனித்தீர்களா? என் இரட்சகனுடைய ஆதாரத்தின் மீது நான் இருந்து, அவன் தன் புறத்திலிருந்து அருளை எனக்குக் கொடுத்திருந்தும் (அது உங்கள் கண்களுக்குப் புலப்படாமல்) உங்களுக்கு மறைக்கப்பட்டு விடுமானால், அதனை நீங்கள் வெறுத்தவர்களாக இருக்க, அதனைப் பின்பற்றும்படி நாம் உங்களை நிர்ப்பந்திப்போமா?
He said: "O my people! Tell me, if I have a clear proof from my Lord, and a Mercy (Prophethood) has come to me from Him, but that (Mercy) has been obscured from your sight. Shall we compel you to accept it (Islâmic Monotheism) when you have a strong hatred for it?
وَيَـٰقَوْمِ لَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَالًا ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّهُم مُّلَـٰقُوا۟ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَـٰكِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُونَ
அன்றியும், “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! இதற்காக நான் உங்களிடம் எப்பொருளையும் (கூலியாகக்) கேட்கவில்லை, என்னுடைய கூலி அல்லாஹ்விடமே தவிர உங்களிடம் இல்லை, விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரை நான் விரட்டுபவனாகவும் இல்லை, நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் தங்கள் இரட்சகனை(க் கண்ணியத்ததுடன்) சந்திக்கிறவர்களாவர், எனினும் நிச்சயமாக உங்களை அறியாதவர்களான சமூகத்தவராகவே நான் காண்கின்றேன்.
"And O my people! I ask of you no wealth for it, my reward is from none but Allâh. I am not going to drive away those who have believed. Surely, they are going to meet their Lord, but I see that you are a people that are ignorant.
وَيَـٰقَوْمِ مَن يَنصُرُنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِن طَرَدتُّهُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
மேலும், “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! (நிச்சயமாக விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரான அவர்களை நான் விரட்டிவிட்டால் அல்லாஹ்வின் தண்டனையிலிருந்து எனக்கு உதவி செய்கிறவர் யார்? நீங்கள் சிந்திக்க மாட்டீர்களா?
"And O my people! Who will help me against Allâh, if I drove them away? Will you not then give a thought?
وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِى خَزَآئِنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ ٱلْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ إِنِّى مَلَكٌ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ تَزْدَرِىٓ أَعْيُنُكُمْ لَن يُؤْتِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ خَيْرًا ۖ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ إِنِّىٓ إِذًا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
“அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பொக்கிஷங்கள் என்னிடம் இருக்கின்றனவென்று நான் உங்களிடம் கூறவுமாட்டேன், நான் மறைவானவற்றை அறியவுமாட்டேன், நிச்சயமாக நான் ஒரு மலக்கு என்று கூறவுமாட்டேன், மேலும், உங்களுடைய கண்கள் இழிவாகக் காண்கின்றனவோ அத்தகையவர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் யாதொரு நன்மையையும் அளிக்கவே மாட்டான் என்று நான் கூறவுமாட்டேன், அவர்களின் மனங்களிலுள்ளதை (உங்களைவிட) அல்லாஹ்(தான்) மிக அறிந்தவன், (இதற்கு மாறாக நான் எதையும் கூறினால்) நிச்சயமாக நான் அச்சமயமே அநியாயக்காரர்களில் உள்ளவன் (ஆகி விடுவேன்” என்றும் கூறினார்)
"And I do not say to you that with me are the Treasures of Allâh, nor that I know the Ghaib (Unseen), nor do I say I am an angel, and I do not say of those whom your eyes look down upon that Allâh will not bestow any good on them. Allâh knows what is in their inner-selves (as regards belief, etc.). In that case, I should, indeed be one of the Zâlimûn (wrong-doers, oppressors)."
قَالُوا۟ يَـٰنُوحُ قَدْ جَـٰدَلْتَنَا فَأَكْثَرْتَ جِدَٰلَنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “நூஹே! நிச்சயமாக நீர் எங்களுடன் தர்க்கித்து விட்டீர், பின்னும், எங்களுடன் தர்க்கிப்பதை அதிகமாக்கி விட்டீர், ஆகவே, நீர் உண்மையாளர்களில் (உள்ளவராக) இருந்தால், நீர் எங்களுக்கு வாக்களித்ததை எங்களிடம் கொண்டு வாரும்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.
They said: "O Nûh (Noah)! You have disputed with us and much have you prolonged the dispute with us, now bring upon us what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful."
قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَأْتِيكُم بِهِ ٱللَّهُ إِن شَآءَ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ
அ(தற்க)வர், “அ(வ்வேதனையான)தை உங்களிடம் கொண்டு வருபவன் அல்லாஹ்தான், (அதுவும்) அவன் நாடினால், (அதனைக் கொண்டு வந்து விடுவான்.) அவனை நீங்கள் இயலாமலாக்கிவிடுகிறவர்களும் அல்லர்” என்று கூறினார்.
He said: "Only Allâh will bring it (the punishment) on you, if He wills, and then you will escape not.
وَلَا يَنفَعُكُمْ نُصْحِىٓ إِنْ أَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَنصَحَ لَكُمْ إِن كَانَ ٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يُغْوِيَكُمْ ۚ هُوَ رَبُّكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
“நான் உங்களுக்கு நல்லுபதேசம் செய்ய நாடினாலும், அல்லாஹ் உங்களை வழிகேட்டிலேயே விட்டுவிட வேண்டுமென்று அவன் நாடியிருந்தால் என்னுடைய நல்லுபதேசம் உங்களுக்கு யாதொரு பயனையும் அளிக்காது, அவன்தான் உங்களுடைய இரட்சகன், (மறுமையில்) அவன் பக்கமே நீங்கள் மீண்டும் கொண்டு வரப்படுவீர்கள்” (என்றும் கூறினார்.)
"And my advice will not profit you, even if I wish to give you good counsel, if Allâh’s Will is to keep you astray. He is your Lord! and to Him you shall return."
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۖ قُلْ إِنِ ٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥ فَعَلَىَّ إِجْرَامِى وَأَنَا۠ بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تُجْرِمُونَ
அல்லது “அவர் இதனைக் கற்பனை செய்துவிட்டார்” என்று அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனரா? “நான் அதனைக் கற்பனை செய்திருந்தால், குற்றம் என் மீதே சாரும், நீங்கள் செய்யும் குற்றங்களிலிருந்து நான் நீங்கியவனாவேன்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!
Or they (the pagans of Makkah) say: "He (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) has fabricated it (the Qur’ân)." Say: "If I have fabricated it, upon me be my crimes, but I am innocent of (all) those crimes which you commit."
وَأُوحِىَ إِلَىٰ نُوحٍ أَنَّهُۥ لَن يُؤْمِنَ مِن قَوْمِكَ إِلَّا مَن قَدْ ءَامَنَ فَلَا تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ
மேலும், நிச்சயமாக அது (முன்னர்) விசுவாசம் கொண்டவர்களைத் தவிர (இனி) உம்முடைய சமூகத்தாரில் ஒருவரும் நிச்சயமாக விசுவாசம் கொள்ளவே மாட்டார்கள், ஆதலால் அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருப்பதைப் பற்றி நீர் கவலைப்படாதீர், என்று (நபி நூஹ்வுக்கு) வஹீ அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
And it was revealed to Nûh (Noah): "None of your people will believe except those who have believed already. So be not sad because of what they used to do.
وَٱصْنَعِ ٱلْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا وَلَا تُخَـٰطِبْنِى فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ
மேலும் “நம்முடைய கண்கள் முன்பாகவே, நம்முடைய அறிவிப்பின் படி ஒரு கப்பலை நீர் செய்யும், அக்கிரமம் செய்தவர்களைப் பற்றி (இனி நீர் என்னுடன் பரிந்து) பேசாதீர், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (பெரு வெள்ளத்தில்) மூழ்கடிக்கப்படுகிறவர்கள்” (என்றும் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது).
"And construct the ship under Our Eyes and with Our Revelation, and call not upon Me on behalf of those who did wrong; they are surely to be drowned."
وَيَصْنَعُ ٱلْفُلْكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ مَلَأٌ مِّن قَوْمِهِۦ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُ ۚ قَالَ إِن تَسْخَرُوا۟ مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسْخَرُ مِنكُمْ كَمَا تَسْخَرُونَ
மேலும், அவர் கப்பலைச் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார், (அப்போது) அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரின் பிராதானிகள் அதன் சமீபமாகச் சென்ற போதெல்லாம் அவரைப் பரிகசித்தனர், அதற்கவர்., “நீங்கள் எங்களைப் பரிகசிப்பீர்களானால் (இப்போது எங்களை) நீங்கள் பரிகசிப்பதுபோல் நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களைப் பரிகசிப்போம்” என்று கூறினார்.
And as he was constructing the ship, whenever the chiefs of his people passed by him, they mocked at him. He said: "If you mock at us, so do we mock at you likewise for your mocking.
فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ
”யாருக்கு-அவரை இழிவுபடுத்தும் வேதனை வருமென்பதையும் எவர்மீது நிலையான வேதனை இறங்குமென்பதையும் நீங்கள் தெரிந்து கொள்வீர்கள்” (என்றும் கூறினார்.)
"And you will know who it is on whom will come a torment that will cover him with disgrace and on whom will fall a lasting torment."
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ ٱلتَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا ٱحْمِلْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقَوْلُ وَمَنْ ءَامَنَ ۚ وَمَآ ءَامَنَ مَعَهُۥٓ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ
இறுதியாக நம்முடைய கட்டளை வந்து அடுப்பும் பொங்கியபோது (நூஹே) ஒவ்வொன்றிலிருந்தும் (ஆண், பெண் ஆகிய) இரண்டு கொண்ட ஜோடியை அதில் நீர் ஏற்றிக் கொள்வீராக! (அழிந்து விடுவார் என) எவரின் மீது நம் வாக்கு முந்தி விட்டதோ, அவரைத்தவிர உம்முடைய குடும்பத்தவரையும் (மற்ற) விசுவாசிகளையும் அதில் ஏற்றிக் கொள்வீராக” என்று நாம் கூறினோம், வெகு சொற்பமானவர்களைத் தவிர (மற்றவர்) அவருடன் விசுவாசம் கொள்ளவில்லை.
(So it was) till when Our Command came and the oven gushed forth (water like fountains from the earth). We said: "Embark therein, of each kind two (male and female), and your family - except him against whom the Word has already gone forth - and those who believe. And none believed with him, except a few."
