6. Al-An'am

மேலும், (விசுவாசிகளே! அறுக்கும்பொழுது) எதன்மீது அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பெயர் கூறப்படவில்லையோ அதிலிருந்து நீங்கள் புசிக்காதீர்கள், இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக அது பாவமாகும், (இதில்) உங்களுடன் தர்க்கிக்குமாறு, நிச்சயமாக ஷைத்தான்கள் தங்களுடைய நண்பர்களைத் தூண்டுகின்றனர், நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்குக் கீழப்படிந்தும் விட்டால், நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (அவர்களைப்போல்) இணைவைப்பவர்கள் (ஆவீர்கள்.)

Eat not (O believers) of that (meat) on which Allâh’s Name has not been pronounced (at the time of the slaughtering of the animal), for sure it is Fisq (a sin and disobedience of Allâh). And certainly, the Shayâtîn (devils) do inspire their friends (from mankind) to dispute with you, and if you obey them¹ [by making Al-Maitah (a dead animal) legal by eating it], then you would indeed be Mushrikûn (polytheists); [because they (devils and their friends) made lawful to you to eat that which Allâh has made unlawful to eat and you obeyed them by considering it lawful to eat, and by doing so you worshipped them; and to worship others besides Allâh is polytheism].

   Narrated by Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi, and Ibn Jarîr: Once while Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم was reciting the Verse (9:31) ‘Adî bin Hâtim said, "O Allâh’s Messenger! They do not worship them (i.e., rabbis and monks)." Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "They certainly do. They (i.e., rabbis and monks) made lawful things as unlawful, and unlawful things as lawful, and they (i.e. Jews and Christians) followed them; and by doing so, they really worshipped them." மரணித்தவனாக இருந்த ஒருவன், பின்னர் நாம் அவனை உயிர்ப்பித்து அவனுக்கு பிரகாசத்தையும் நாம் ஆக்கினோம், அதன் மூலம் மனிதர்களிடையே நடக்கின்ற அவன் (குப்ர் எனும்) இருள்களில் (சிக்கி) அதிலிருந்து வெளியேற முடியாதிருக்கிறவனைப் போன்ற)வனுக்குச் சமமானவனா? (ஒருபோதும் இல்லை) இவ்வாறே நிராகரிப்போருக்கு அவர்கள் செய்துவந்த (தீய) செயல்கள் அலங்காரமாக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டன.

Is he who was dead (without Faith by ignorance and disbelief) and We gave him life (by knowledge and Faith) and set for him a light (of Belief) whereby he can walk amongst men - like him who is in the darkness (of disbelief, polytheism and hypocrisy) from which he can never come out? Thus it is made fair-seeming to the disbelievers that which they used to do.

இன்னும், இவ்வாறே ஒவ்வோர் ஊரிலும், அதில் (உள்ள) குற்றச் செயல்களைப் புரிந்து வருபவர்களில் தலைவர்களை அதில் அவர்கள் சூழ்ச்சி செய்வதற்காக நாம் ஆக்கியிருந்தோம், மேலும், அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கே தவிர (மற்றெவருக்கும்) சதி செய்வதில்லை, (இதனை) அவர்கள் உணர்ந்து கொள்வதுமில்லை.

And thus We have set up in every town great ones of its wicked people to plot therein. But they plot not except against their ownselves, and they perceive (it) not.

இன்னும், அவர்களிடம் ஏதாவதொரு வசனம் வந்தால் “அல்லாஹ்வினுடைய தூதர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது போன்றதை நாங்கள் கொடுக்கப்படாத வரை, நாங்கள் (அதனை) விசுவாசங்கொள்ள மாட்டோம்” என்று கூறுகின்றனர், அல்லாஹ் தன்னுடைய தூதுத்துவத்தை எங்கு (எவருக்கு) ஆக்குவது என்பதை மிக்க அறிந்தவன், குற்றம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தோரை-அவர்கள் சதி செய்து கொண்டிருந்த காரணத்தால் - அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து சிறுமையும் கொடிய வேதனையும் வந்தடையும்.

And when there comes to them a sign (from Allâh) they say: "We shall not believe until we receive the like of that which the Messengers of Allâh had received." Allâh knows best with whom to place His Message. Humiliation and disgrace from Allâh and a severe torment will overtake the criminals (polytheists, sinners) for that which they used to plot.

ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ் எவருக்கு நேர்வழிகாட்ட நாடுகிறானோ அவருடைய நெஞ்சை, இஸ்லாத்திற்காக (அதை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ள) அவன் விரிவாக்குகின்றான், இன்னும் எவரை (அவருடைய) வழிகேட்டிலேயே விட்டுவிட அவன் நாடுகிறானோ அவருடைய நெஞ்சத்தை – அவர் வானத்தில் ஏறுபவரைப்போன்று நெருக்கடியானதாக, மிகக் கஷ்டமடைந்ததாக ஆக்கி விடுகிறான், இவ்வாறே விசுவாசங்கொள்ளாதவர்கள் மீது வேதனையை அல்லாஹ் ஆக்குகிறான்.

And whomsoever Allâh wills to guide, He opens his breast to Islâm; and whomsoever He wills to send astray, He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky. Thus Allâh puts the wrath on those who believe not.¹

   If Allâh تعالى wants to do good to a person, He makes him comprehend the religion [the understanding of the Qur’ân and the Sunnah (legal ways) of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم].

   Narrated Mu‘âwiya رضي الله عنه in a Khuthah (religious talk): I heard Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم saying, "If Allâh wants to do good to a person, He makes him comprehend the religion [the understanding of the Qur’ân and the Sunnah (legal ways) of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم]. I am just a distributor, but the grant is from Allâh. (And remember) that this nation (true Muslims, real followers of Islâmic Monotheism) will remain obedient to Allâh’s Orders [i.e., following strictly Allâh’s Book (the Qur’ân) and the Prophet’s Sunnah (legal ways)] and they will not be harmed by anyone who will oppose them (going on a different path) till Allâh’s Order (Day of Judgement) is established." (Sahih Al-Bukhâri, Vol.1, Hadîth No.71).

மேலும், (நபியே!) நேரானதாக இருக்க இதுவே உமதிரட்சகனின் வழியாகும், (அத்தாட்சிகளை சிந்தித்து) நினைவு கூரும் கூட்டத்தார்க்கு (நம்முடைய) வசனங்களை நிச்சயமாக நாம் விவரித்திருக்கின்றோம்.

And this is the Path of your Lord (the Qur’ân and Islâm) leading Straight. We have detailed Our Revelations for a people who take heed.

அவர்களுக்காக அவர்கள் இரட்சகனிடத்தில் (சொர்க்கமாகிய) சாந்தி இல்லம் உண்டு, அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவற்றின் காரணமாக அவனே அவர்களுக்குப் பாதுகாவலன்.

For them will be the home of peace (Paradise) with their Lord. And He will be their Walî (Helper and Protector) because of what they used to do.

மேலும், அவர்கள் யாவரையும் அவன் ஒன்று திரட்டும் (மறுமை) நாளில் (ஜின் கூட்டத்தாரிடம்) “ஜின் கூட்டத்தாரே! நீங்கள் மனிதர்களிலிருந்து (அநேகரைக் கெடுத்து உங்கள் வழி நடப்போரை) நீங்கள் அதிகப்படுத்திக் கொண்டீர்கள் (அல்லவா?” என்று கேட்பான், அதற்கு) அம்மனிதர்களில் உள்ள அவர்களின் நண்பர்கள், “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! எங்களில் சிலர் (மாறு செய்த)சிலரைக் கொண்டு பயனடைந்திருக்கின்றனர், எங்களுக்கு நீ ஏற்படுத்திய காலத்தை நாங்கள் அடைந்தும் விட்டோம்” என்று கூறுவார்கள், (அதற்கு அல்லாஹ்) நரகந்தான் உங்கள் தங்குமிடம், அல்லாஹ் நாடியனாலன்றி அதில் நிரந்தரமாக (த்தங்கி) இருப்பவர்கள்” என்று (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் கூறுவான், (நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக உமதிரட்சகன் தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன், நன்கறிகிறவன்.

And on the Day when He will gather them (all) together (and say): "O you assembly of jinn! Many did you mislead of men," and their Auliyâ’ (friends and helpers) amongst men will say: "Our Lord! We benefited one from the other, but now we have reached our appointed term which You did appoint for us." He will say: "The Fire be your dwelling-place, you will dwell therein forever, except as Allâh may will. Certainly your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing."

இவ்வாறே அநியாயக்காரர்களில் சிலரை மற்றும் சிலருக்கு – அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த (தீய) செயல்களின் காரணமாக நாம் சேர்த்து (நண்பர்களாக்கியு)ம் விடுவோம்.

And thus We do make the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) Auliyâ’ (supporters and helpers) of one another (in committing crimes), because of that which they used to earn.

“ஜின் இன, மனித இன வர்க்கத்தாரே! என்னுடைய வசனங்களை உங்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பித்தது உங்களுடைய இந்நாளின் சந்திப்பைப்பற்றியும் உங்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்யும் தூதர்கள் உங்களிலிருந்தே உங்களுக்கு வரவில்லையா?” (என்று கேட்பான்.) அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே “நாங்களே எங்களுக்கு எதிராக சாட்சி கூறுகிறோம்” என்று கூறுவார்கள், உலக வாழ்க்கை அவர்களை மயக்கி (ஏமாற்றி)யும் விட்டது, நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் நிராகரிப்பவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள் என தங்களுக்கு பாதகமாக அவர்கள் சாட்சியும் கூறுவர்.

O you assembly of jinn and mankind! "Did not there come to you Messengers from amongst you, reciting unto you My Verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.

(நபியே!) இவ்வாறு நபிமார்களை அனுப்புவ)து எவ்வூராரையும் அவர்கள் பாராமுகமானவர்களாக இருக்கும் சமயத்தில் (அவர்களுக்கு எச்சரிக்கை செய்யாமல்) அநியாயமாக அவர்களை அழிப்பவனாக உமதிரட்சகன் இருக்கவில்லை என்பதால்தான்.

This is because your Lord would not destroy the (populations of) towns for their wrong-doing (i.e. associating others in worship along with Allâh) while their people were unaware (so the Messengers were sent).

(நபியே!) அவர்கள்) ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும், அவர்களின் செயல்களுக்குத் தக்க பதில்களும் உண்டு, அவர்கள் செயல்களைப்பற்றி உம்முடைய இரட்சகன் பாராமுகமானவனாகவும் இல்லை.

For all there will be degrees (or ranks) according to what they did. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do.

மேலும், (நபியே!) உமதிரட்சகன் (படைப்புகளைவிட்டும்) தேவையற்றவன், நிகரற்ற அருளுடையவன், (மனிதர்களே!) அவன் நாடினால் உங்களை அவன் போக்கிவிடுவான், மேலும், வேறு சமூகத்தவர்களின் சந்ததியிலிருந்து உங்களை அவன் உற்பத்தி செய்தது போன்று தான் நாடியவரை (உங்களுடைய இடத்தில்) உங்களுக்குப் பிறகு அவன் பகரமாக்கி விடுவான்.

And your Lord is Rich (Free of all needs), full of Mercy; if He wills, He can destroy you, and in your place make whom He wills as your successors, as He raised you from the seed of other people.

நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் வாக்களிக்கப்படுவது (-மறுமை நாளானது) உறுதியாக வந்தே தீரும், நீங்கள் (அதைத்தடுத்து) அல்லாஹ்வை இயலாமையிலாக்கி (மிகைத்து) விடக்கூடியவர்களும் அல்லர்.

Surely, that which you are promised will verily come to pass, and you cannot escape (from the punishment of Allâh).

(நபியே!) அவர்களிடம்) நீர் கூறுவீராக! என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! நீங்கள் உங்கள் வழி வகையின்படி (உங்கள்) காரியங்களைச் செய்து கொண்டே இருங்கள், நிச்சயமாக நானும் (என் வழி வகையின்படி என் காரியங்களைச்) செய்து கொண்டிருப்பேன், இம்மையின் முடிவு எவருக்குச் சாதகமாயிருக்கின்றது என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள், நிச்சயமாக அநியாயக்காரர்கள் வெற்றி பெற மாட்டார்கள்.

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "O my people! Work according to your way, surely, I too am working (in my way), and you will come to know for which of us will be the (happy) end in the Hereafter. Certainly the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) will not be successful."

மேலும், விளைச்சல் இன்னும் (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் ஆகிய) கால்நடைகள் ஆகியவற்றில் அவன் உற்பத்தி செய்தவற்றிலிருந்து ஒரு பாகத்தை அல்லாஹ்வுக்கென ஆக்கிவிட்டுப் பிறகு அவர்கள் எண்ணப்படி இது அல்லாஹ்விற்குரியது (என்றும், மற்றொரு பாகத்தை) இது எங்களுடைய இணையாளர்களுக்குரியது என்றும் கூறுகிறார்கள், அவர்களின் இணையாளர்களுக்கு என இருந்த (பாகத்திலிருந்து) எதுவும் அல்லாஹ்வின்பால் சேருவதில்லை, அல்லாஹ்வுக்காக உரிய (பங்கான)து தங்களது இணையாளர்கள்பால் சேரும் என்ற அவர்கள் (வணக்க வழிபாடுகளை இவ்வாறு அல்லாஹ்விற்கும் அவனுடன் மற்றவர்களுக்கும் கூட்டாக்கிக் கூறிவந்த) தீர்ப்பு கெட்டது.

And they assign to Allâh a share of the tilth and cattle which He has created, and they say: "This is for Allâh according to their claim, and this is for our (Allâh’s so-called) partners." But the share of their (Allâh’s so-called) "partners" reaches not Allâh, while the share of Allâh reaches their (Allâh’s so-called) "partners"! Evil is the way they judge!

(விளைச்சல் மற்றும் கால்நடைகளிலிருந்து, ஒரு பாகத்தை தங்களது இணையாளர்களான ஷைத்தான்கள் ஆக்கிவிடுவதை அழகாகக் காட்டியது போன்ற) அவ்வாறே இணைவைப்போரில் அதிகமானவர்களுக்கு அவர்களின் குழந்தைகளைக் கொன்று விடுவதை அவர்களின் இணையாளர்(களான ஷைத்தான்)கள், அவர்களை அழித்து விடுவதற்காகவும், அவர்களின் மார்க்கத்தை அவர்களுக்குக் குழப்பிவிடுவதற்காகவும் அழகாக்கி வைத்துள்ளனர், இன்னும், அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால் அவர்கள் இவ்வாறு செய்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள், ஆகவே, (நபியே) நீர் அவர்களையும் அவர்களுடைய பொய்க் கூற்றுக்களையும் விட்டுவிடுவீராக!

And so to many of the Mushrikûn (polytheists - see V.2:105) their (Allâh’s so-called) "partners" have made fair-seeming the killing of their children, in order to lead them to their own destruction and cause confusion in their religion. And if Allâh had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them alone with their fabrications.

மேலும், இது (நேர்ச்சைக்காக) தடுக்கப்பட்ட கால்நடைகளும் விவசாயமுமாகும், நாங்கள் விரும்புகின்ற (புரோகிதர் முதலிய)வர்களைத் தவிர (மற்றெவரும்) அதனைப் புசிக்கக் கூடாது என்று தங்கள் தவறான எண்ணப்படி) அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர், இன்னும், (அவ்வாறே வேறு சில கால்நடைகள் - அவற்றின் முதுகுகள் (அவற்றின் மீது சவாரி செய்தல், சுமை ஏற்றுதல்) தடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன, என்றும், இன்னும், சில கால்நடைகள் (அவற்றை அறுக்கும்பொழுது) அவற்றின் மீது அல்லாஹ்வின் பெயரைக் கூறக்கூடாதென்றும் அவற்றின்மீது கற்பனையாகக் கூறுகின்றனர், அவர்கள் கற்பனையாகக் கூறியதன் காரணமாக நிச்சயமாக (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் அவர்களுக்குக் கூலிகொடுப்பான்.

And according to their claim, they say that such and such cattle and crops are forbidden, and none should eat of them except those whom we allow. And (they say) there are cattle forbidden to be used for burden (or any other work), and cattle on which (at slaughtering) the Name of Allâh is not pronounced; lying against Him (Allâh). He will recompense them for what they used to fabricate.

இன்னும், அவர்கள் (வேறு சிலவற்றைக் குறிப்பிட்டு) “இக் கால்நடைகளின் வயிறுகளிலிருப்பவை, எங்களுடைய ஆண்களுக்கு (மட்டும்) சொந்தமானவையாகும், எங்களுடைய மனைவியரின் மீது (அவையோ) தடுக்கப்பட்டுமிருக்கின்றன, மேலும், அவை செத்துப் பிறந்து இருந்தால் அதில் அவர்கள் கூட்டுக்காரர்களாவர்”, என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர், ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய பொய்யான) வர்ணனைக்காக, (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் அவர்களுக்குக் கூலி கொடுப்பான், நிச்சயமாக அவன் தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன், (யாவற்றையும்) நன்கறிகிறவன்.

And they say: "What is in the bellies of such and such cattle (milk or foetus) is for our males alone, and forbidden to our females (girls and women), but if it is born dead, then all have shares therein." He will punish them for their attribution (of such false orders to Allâh). Verily, He is All-Wise, All-Knower. (Tafsir At-Tabarî).

அறிவின்றி மடமையினால் தங்கள் (பெண்) மக்களைக் கொலை செய்தார்களே அவர்களும், அல்லாஹ் தங்களுக்கு(ப் புசிக்க)க் கொடுத்திருந்த (நல்ல)வற்றை (ஆகாதென) அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது கற்பனையாகக்கூறி விலக்கிக் கொண்டார்களே, அவர்களும், நிச்சயமாக நஷ்டமடைந்து விட்டார்கள், (ஆகவே) திட்டமாக அவர்கள் வழி கெட்டு விட்டனர், அவர்கள் நேர் வழி பெற்றவர்களாக இருக்கவுமில்லை.

Indeed lost are they who have killed their children, foolishly, without knowledge, and have forbidden that which Allâh has provided for them, inventing a lie against Allâh. They have indeed gone astray and were not guided.

மேலும், (திராட்சை போன்ற பந்தலின் மீது) படரவிடப்பட்ட தோட்டங்களையும் இன்னும் படரவிடப்படாதவைகளையும், இன்னும் பேரீத்த மரங்களையும், புசிக்க விதவிதமான (காய்கறி, தானியங்கள் போன்றவை உருவாகும்) விவசாயத்தையும் (அதன் தோற்றத்தில்) ஒன்று போலும், (சுவையில்) ஒன்றுபோல் இல்லாததுமான (ஒலிவம்) ஜைத்தூனையும், மாதுளையையும் அவனே படைத்திருக்கிறான், ஆகவே, அவை (பருவகாலத்தில்) பலன் தந்தால், அவற்றின் கனியிலிருந்து (தாராளமாக)ப் புசியுங்கள், அவற்றை அறுவடை செய்யும் நாளில் (ஏழைகளுக்கு, அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துவதற்காக) அதில் அதனுடைய பாகத்தையும் கொடுத்து விடுங்கள், இன்னும், (வீண்)விரயம் செய்யாதீர்கள், வீண் விரயம் செய்பவர்களை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நேசிக்க மாட்டான்.

And it is He Who produces gardens trellised and untrellised, and date-palms, and crops of different shape and taste (their fruits and their seeds) and olives, and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in taste). Eat of their fruit when they ripen, but pay the due thereof (its Zakât according to Allâh’s Orders 1/10th or 1/20th) on the day of its harvest, and waste not by extravagance¹. Verily, He likes not Al-Musrifûn (those who waste by extravagance),

இன்னும், கால்நடைகளில் சிலவற்றை சுமை சுமப்பதற்காகவும், (மற்ற சிலவற்றை) உணவுக்காகவும் (அவனே படைத்திருக்கிறான், ஆகவே) அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு அளித்ததிலிருந்து நீங்கள் புசியுங்கள், (இதில் ஷைத்தானுடைய அடிச்சுவடுகளையும் பின்பற்றாதீர்கள், நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்களுக்குப் பகிரங்கமான விரோதியாவான்.

And of the cattle (are some) for burden (like camels) and (some are) small (unable to carry burden like sheep and goats - for food, meat, milk and wool). Eat of what Allâh has provided for you, and follow not the footsteps of Shaitân (Satan). Surely he is to you an open enemy.

.(நபியே! புசிக்கக் கூடிய ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் முதலியவற்றில்) எட்டு ஜோடிகளை (அல்லாஹ் படைத்துள்ளான், அவையாவன,) செம்மறியாட்டில் (ஆண், பெண்) இரண்டு மற்றும் வெள்ளாட்டின் (ஆண் பெண்) இரண்டு. (ஆகேவ இவற்றில்) இரு இன ஆண்களையா, அல்லது இரு இனப்பெண்களையா, அல்லது இரு பெண்ணிணங்களுடைய கர்ப்பங்கள் எதனை உள்ளடக்கி வைத்திருக்கின்றனவோ அவற்றையா (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் தடுத்திருக்கின்றான்? நீங்கள் உண்மை சொல்பவர்களாயின் அறிவுடன் (இதனை) நீங்கள் எனக்கு அறிவியுங்கள்” என நீர் கேட்பீராக!

Eight pairs: of the sheep two (male and female),¹ and of the goats two (male and female). Say: "Has He forbidden the two males or the two females, or (the young) which the wombs of the two females enclose? Inform me with knowledge if you are truthful."

   Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: I heard Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم saying, "While a shepherd was amongst his sheep, a wolf attacked them and took away one sheep. When the shepherd chased the wolf, the wolf turned towards him and said, ‘Who will be their guard on the day of wild animals when nobody except I will be their shepherd’*. And while a man was driving a cow with a load on it, it turned towards him and spoke to him saying, ‘I have not been created for this purpose, but for ploughing.’" The people said, "Glorified be Allâh." The Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم said, "But I believe in it and so does Abu Bakr and ‘Umar رضي الله عنهم." (Sahih Al-Bukhâri, Vol.5, Hadîth No.15).

   * It has been written that a wolf also spoke to a shepherd during the Prophet’s lifetime near Al-Madinah, as narrated in Musnad Imam Ahmad in the Musnad of Abu Sa‘îd Al-Khudri رضي الله عنه (Vol.3, Page 83): Narrated Abu Sa‘îd Al-Khudri رضي الله عنه: (While a shepherd was in his hered of sheep), suddenly a wolf attacked a sheep and took it away, the shepherd chased the wolf and took back the sheep, the wolf sat on its tail and addressed the shepherd saying: "Be afraid of Allâh, you have taken the provision from me which Allâh gave me." The shepherd said: "What an amazing thing! A wolf sitting on its tail speaks to me in the language of a human being." The wolf said: "Shall I tell you something more amazing than this? There is Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم the Messenger of Allâh in Yathrib (Al-Madinah) informing the people about the news of the past." Then the shepherd (after hearing that) proceeded (towards Al-Madinah) driving his sheep till he entered Al-Madinah, cornered his sheep in a place, and came to Allâh’s Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and informed the whole story. Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم ordered for the proclamation of a congregational salat (صلاة جامعة) then he صلى الله عليه وسلم came out and asked the shepherd to inform the people (about the story), and he informed them. Then Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "He (the shepherd) has spoken the truth. By Him (Allâh) in Whose Hands my soul is, the Day of Resurrection will not be established till beasts of prey (سباع) speak to the human beings, and the stick lash and the shoe-laces of a person speak to him and his thigh inform him about his family as to what happened to them after him.

இன்னும், ஒட்டகையில் (ஆண் பெண்) இரண்டு, மற்றும் மாட்டில் (ஆண், பெண்) இரண்டு (ஆகிய இவற்றையும் அல்லாஹ்வாகிய அவன்தான் படைத்தான்) இரு இன ஆண்களையா அல்லது இரு இனபெண்களையா அல்லது இரு பெண்ணினங்களுடைய கர்ப்பங்கள் எதனை உள்ளடக்கி வைத்திருக்கின்றனவோ அவற்றையா (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் தடுத்திருக்கின்றான்?” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கேட்பீராக! இவ்வாறு தடுத்து அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு (கட்டளையிட்டதாகக் கூறுகின்றீர்களே, அவ்வாறு அவன்) கட்டளையிட்ட சமயம் நீங்களும் பிரசன்னமாகி இருந்தீர்களா? என்றும் நபியே! நீர் அவர்களைக் கேட்பீராக! அறிவின்றி மனிதர்களை வழி கெடுப்பதற்காக அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது பொய்யைக் கற்பனை செய்பவனைவிட மிகுந்த அநியாயக்காரன் யார்? நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (இத்தகைய) அநியாயக்காரச் சமூகத்தவருக்கு நேர் வழி காட்ட மாட்டான்.

And of the camels two (male and female), and of oxen two (male and female). Say: "Has He forbidden the two males or the two females or (the young) which the wombs of the two females enclose? Or were you present when Allâh ordered you such a thing? Then who does more wrong than one who invents a lie against Allâh, to lead mankind astray without knowledge. Certainly Allâh guides not the people who are Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers)."

செத்தவையாக அல்லது ஓடும் இரத்தமாக அல்லது பன்றியின் மாமிசமாக இருந்தாலல்லாது உண்ணுபவருக்கு அதை உண்ணத் தடை செய்யப்பட்டதாக எனக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டவற்றில் நான் காணவில்லை, காரணம் நிச்சயமாக அவை அசுத்தமானவையாகும் – அல்லது அதை அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவருக்காக பெயர் கூறப்பட்ட பாவமானதையும் தவிர (வேறு ஏதும் தடுக்கப்பட்டதாக எனக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டவற்றில் நான் காணவில்லை) ஆகவே, வரம்பை மீறாதவராகவும், பாவம் செய்யாதவராகவும், எவரேனும் நிர்ப்பந்திக்கப்பட்டு (புசித்து)விட்டால் அப்போது (அது அவர்மீது குற்றமல்ல காரணம்) நிச்சயமாக உம்முடைய இரட்சகன் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவன், மிகக் கிருபையுடையவன்.

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I find not in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be Maitah (a dead animal) or blood poured forth (by slaughtering or the like), or the flesh of swine (pork); for that surely is impure or impious (unlawful) meat (of an animal) which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allâh (or has been slaughtered for idols, or on which Allâh’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But whosoever is forced by necessity without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits; (for him) certainly, your Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

(நபியே!) விரல்கள் பிளந்த நகத்தையுடைய அனைத்தையும் (புசிக்கக் கூடாதென்று) யூதர்களாக இருந்தவர்கள் மீது தடுத்திருந்தோம், இன்னும், மாடு, ஆடு ஆகியவற்றில் இருந்து அவ்விரண்டின் கொழுப்புகளையும் அவர்கள் மீது தடுத்திருந்தோம் – அவை இரண்டின் முதுகுகள் சுமந்து கொண்டிருப்பதையும் அல்லது அவ்விரண்டின் (வயிற்றினுள்) சிறு குடல்கள் (மீது சுற்றப்பட்டு) சுமந்து கொண்டிருப்பதையும் அல்லது எலும்போடு கலந்திருப்பதையும் தவிர (மற்றவைகளை அவர்கள் உண்ணலாகாது) அது (ஏனெனில்) அவர்கள் (நமக்கு) மாறு செய்ததன் காரணமாக அவர்களுக்கு நாம் கூலி கொடுத்(து தண்டித்)தோம், இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் (அவற்றை அவர்களுக்கு தடுத்து விட்டது பற்றிய விஷயத்தில்) உண்மையாளராவோம்.

And unto those who are Jews, We forbade every (animal) with undivided hoof, and We forbade them the fat of the ox and the sheep except what adheres to their backs or their entrails, or is mixed up with a bone. Thus We recompensed them for their rebellion [committing crimes like murdering the Prophets and eating of Ribâ (usury)]. And verily, We are Truthful.

ஆகவே, (நபியே! இதற்குப் பின்னரும்) அவர்கள் உம்மைப் பொய்யாக்கினால் (அவர்களிடம்) “உங்களுடைய இரட்சகன் மிக்க விசாலமான அருளுடையவன் (தான், எனினும்) குற்றம் செய்தவர்களான கூட்டத்தாரைவிட்டு அவனது தண்டனை தடுக்கப்படவுமாட்டாது என்று கூறுவீராக!

If they (Jews) belie you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) say: "Your Lord is the Owner of Vast Mercy, and never will His Wrath be turned back from the people who are Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists or sinners)."

“அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால் நாங்களும் எங்களுடைய மூதாதையர்களும் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எதனையும்) இணைவைத்திருக்க மாட்டோம், (உண்ணக்கூடிய) யாதொன்றையும் (ஆகாதென்று) நாங்கள் விலக்கியிருக்கவுமாட்டோம்” என்று இணைவைத்துக் கொண்டிருப்போர் கூறுவார்கள், இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களும் நம்முடைய வேதனையைச் சுவைக்கும் வரையில் இவ்வாறே (தூதர்களைப்) பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர், ஆகவே, நீர் “உங்கள் கூற்றுக்கு உங்களிடம் ஏதும் அறிவார்த்த (மான ஆதார)முண்டா? (அவ்வாறு இருந்தால்,) அதனை நமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்திக் காட்டுங்கள், (உங்களது அர்த்தமற்ற வீணான) எண்ணத்தையல்லாது வேறு எதையும் நீங்கள் பின்பற்றவில்லை, இன்னும் நீங்கள் அனுமானம் கொள்கிறவர்களேயன்றி வேறில்லை-என்று கூறுவீராக!

Those who took partners (in worship) with Allâh will say: "If Allâh had willed, we would not have taken partners (in worship) with Him, nor would our fathers, and we would not have forbidden anything (against His Will)." Likewise belied those who were before them, (they argued falsely with Allâh’s Messengers), till they tasted Our Wrath. Say: "Have you any knowledge (proof) that you can produce before us? Verily, you follow nothing but guess and you do nothing but lie."

(யாருக்கு அவன் நேர்வழிகாட்டி விட்டானோ இன்னும் யாரை வழிதவறச் செய்து விட்டானோ, அதுபற்றிய மறுக்க முடியாத) பூரணமான ஆதாரம் அல்லாஹ்விற்கே இருக்கிறது, ஆகவே, அவன் நாடியிருந்தால் உங்கள் யாவரையும் நிச்சயம் நேர்வழியில் செலுத்தியிருப்பான்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!!

Say: "With Allâh is the perfect proof and argument, (i.e. the Oneness of Allâh, the sending of His Messengers and His Holy Books to mankind); had He so willed, He would indeed have guided you all."

(மேலும், அவர்களிடம் நீங்களாக உங்கள் மீது புசிக்க ஆகுமாக்கப் பட்டவற்றை தடுத்துக் கொண்டு) ”நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் இதனைத் தடுத்திருக்கிறான் என்று சாட்சி கூறுகிறார்களே அத்தகைய உங்களது சாட்சியாளர்களை நீங்கள் கொண்டு வாருங்கள்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக! அவர்களும் (அவ்வாறே பொய்) சாட்சி கூறுவார்களேயானால் (அதற்காக) நீரும் அவர்களுடன் (சேர்ந்து) சாட்சி கூற வேண்டாம், மேலும், நம்முடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கியவர்கள், இன்னும், மறுமையை விசுவாசங் கொள்ளாதவர்கள் ஆகியோரின் மன இச்சைகளை நீர் பின்பற்ற வேண்டாம், அவர்களோ தங்கள் இரட்சகனுக்கு (வழிபாட்டில் மற்றவர்களை) சமமாக்குகின்றனர்

Say: "Bring forward your witnesses, who can testify that Allâh has forbidden this. Then if they testify, testify not you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) with them. And you should not follow the vain desires of such as treat Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) as falsehoods, and such as believe not in the Hereafter, and they hold others as equal (in worship) with their Lord."

(நபியே! அவர்களிடம்,) நீர் கூறுவீராக! “வாருங்கள்! உங்கள் இரட்சகன் உங்களுக்கு விலக்கியிருப்பவற்றையும் ஏவியிருப்பவற்றையும்) நான் உங்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கிறேன், (அவை யாவன:) அவனுக்கு எதையும் நீங்கள் இணையாக்காதீர்கள், இன்னும் (உங்கள்) பெற்றோருக்கு (அன்புடன்) உபகாரம் செய்யுங்கள், (அவர்களோடு நன்றியுடன் நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்) வறுமைக்காக (அதைப்பயந்து) உங்கள் குழந்தைகளை நீங்கள் கொலை செய்துவிடாதீர்கள், உங்களுக்கும், அவர்களுக்கும் நாமே உணவளிக்கின்றோம், மேலும், மானக்கேடான காரியங்களை – அதில் வெளிப்படையானவற்றையும், இரகசியமானவற்றையும் (செய்ய) நீங்கள் நெருங்காதீர்கள், இன்னும் (கொலை செய்யக் கூடாதென்று) அல்லாஹ் தடுத்துள்ள எந்த ஆத்மாவையும் (நியாயமான) உரிமையின்றிக் கொலை செய்யாதீர்கள், (மேற்கூறப்பட்ட உபதேசங்களடங்கிய) அவை நீங்கள் (அவனுடைய ஏவல் விலக்கல் பற்றிய கட்டளைகளை அறிந்து) விளங்கிக் கொள்வதறகாக அவற்றைக் கொண்டு அவன் உங்களுக்கு ஏவுகிறான்.

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited you from: Join not anything in worship with Him; be good and dutiful to your parents; kill not your children because of poverty - We provide sustenance for you and for them; come not near to Al-Fawâhish (shameful sins, illegal sexual intercourse) whether committed openly or secretly; and kill not anyone whom Allâh has forbidden, except for a just cause (according to Islâmic law). This He has commanded you that you may understand.

“அநாதையின் பொருளை – அவர் பிராயமடையும் வரையில் நியாயமான முறையிலன்றி (அனுபவிக்க) நெருங்காதீர்கள், அளவையும், நிறுவையையும் நீதமாக நிறைவு செய்யுங்கள், எந்த ஒரு ஆத்மாவையும் அதன் சக்திக்குட்பட்டதைத்தவிர நாம் கஷ்டப்படுத்துவதில்லை, நீங்கள் பேசினால் (பாதிக்கப்படுபவர் நெருங்கிய) உறவினராயினும் (சரியே) நீதத்தையே கூறுங்கள், நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்விடம் செய்த வாக்குறுதியையும் பூரணமாக நிறைவேற்றுங்கள், (மேற்கூறப்பட்ட உபதேசங்களடங்கிய) அவை நீங்கள் நினைவு கூர்வதற்காக அவற்றைக்கொண்டு அவன் உங்களுக்கு ஏவுகிறான்.

"And come not near to the orphan’s property, except to improve it, until he (or she) attains the age of full strength; and give full measure and full weight with justice. We burden not any person, but that which he can bear. And whenever you give your word (i.e. judge between men or give evidence), say the truth even if a near relative is concerned, and fulfil the Covenant of Allâh. This He commands you, that you may remember¹.

இன்னும், “நிச்சயமாக இது நேரானதாக இருக்க என்னுடைய வழியாகும், ஆகவே, இதனையே நீங்கள் பின்பற்றுங்கள், இன்னும், மற்ற வழிகளைப் பின்பற்றாதீர்கள், அவை அவனுடைய வழியிலிருந்து உங்களைப் பிரித்துவிடும், (மேற்கூறப்பட்ட உபதேசங்களடங்கிய) அவை நீங்கள் பயபக்தியுடையவர்களாவதற்காக இவற்றை (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் உங்களுக்கு ஏவுகிறான்” (என்று கூறுவீவராக!)

"And verily, this (i.e. Allâh’s Commandments mentioned in the above two Verses 151 and 152) is My Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2)."

பின்னர், நன்மை செய்தோரின் மீது (நமது அருட்கொடையை) நிறைவு செய்வதற்காகவும் ஒவ்வொரு விஷயத்திற்கும் தெளிவாகவும், நேர்வழியாகவும் அருளாகவும் மூஸாவுக்கு வேதத்தை நாம் கொடுத்தோம், தங்கள் இரட்சகனின் சந்திப்பை அவர்கள் விசுவாசம் கொள்வதற்காக வேண்டி (இதனை நாம் இறக்கி வைத்தோம்.)

Then, We gave Mûsâ (Moses) the Book [the Taurât (Torah)] to complete (Our Favour) upon those who would do right, and explaining all things in detail and a guidance and a mercy that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord.

(மனிதர்களே) இதுவும் வேத நூலாகும், இதனை நாம் இறக்கி வைத்துள்ளோம், (இதன் நன்மைகள் பன்மடங்காக்கப்பட்டதாக) பரக்கத்துச் செய்யப்பட்டதாகும், ஆகவே, இதனை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றுங்கள், மேலும், நீங்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வினால்) அருள் செய்யப்படுவதற்காக (அவனுக்குப்) பயந்து (பாவத்திலிருந்து விலகிக்) கொள்ளுங்கள்.

And this is a blessed Book (the Qur’ân) which We have sent down, so follow it and fear Allâh (i.e. do not disobey His Orders), that you may receive mercy (i.e. be saved from the torment of Hell).

(இணை வைப்போரே) “இரு கூட்டத்தினர்(களாகிய யூத கிறிஸ்தவர்கள்) மீதுதான் நமக்கு முன்னர் வேதம் இறக்கப்பட்டது, ஆகவே, நாங்கள் அதனைப் படிக்கவும் படித்துக் கேட்கவும்) முடியாமல் பாராமுகமானவர்களாகி விட்டோம்” என்று நீங்கள் கூறாதிருப்பதற்காகவும்,

Lest you (pagan Arabs) should say: "The Book was sent down only to two sects before us (the Jews and the Christians), and for our part, we were in fact unaware of what they studied."

அல்லது நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் - எங்கள் மீது ஒரு வேதம் இறக்கப்பட்டிருந்தால், அவர்களைவிட மிக்க நேர்வழியில் நாங்கள் இருந்திருப்போம் என்று நீங்கள் கூறாதிருப்பதற்காகவும் இப்பொழுது உங்கள் இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவான ஆதாரமும், நேர்வழியும் பெருங்கிருபையும் (கொண்டதுமான வேதம்) வந்துவிட்டது, ஆகவே, எவர் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய இத்தகைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கி அவற்றிலிருந்து விலகிக் கொள்கிறாரோ அவரைவிட மிகுந்த அநியாயக்காரர் யார்? நம்முடைய வசனங்களிலிருந்து இவ்வாறு விலகிக் கொள்கின்றவர்களுக்கு, அவர்கள் விலகிக் கொண்டதன் காரணமாக – நாம் கொடிய வேதனையைக் கூலியாகக் கொடுப்போம்.

Or lest you (pagan Arabs) should say: "If only the Book had been sent down to us, we would surely have been better guided than they (Jews and Christians)." So now has come unto you a clear proof (the Qur’ân) from your Lord, and a guidance and a mercy. Who then does more wrong than one who rejects the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh and turns away therefrom? We shall requite those who turn away from Our Ayât with an evil torment, because of their turning away (from them). [Tafsir At-Tabari]

மலக்குகள் அவர்களிடம் (நேரில்) வருவதையோ அல்லது உம் இரட்சகன் வருவதையோ, அல்லது உம்முடைய இரட்சகனின் அத்தாட்சிகளில் சில வருவதையோ தவிர (வேறெதனையும்) அவர்கள் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றனரா? உம் இரட்சகனின் சில அத்தாட்சிகள் வரும் அந்நாளில் அதற்கு முன்னர் விசுவாசங்கொள்ளாதிருந்து அல்லது (விசுவாசங்கொண்டிருந்தும்) அதன் ஈமானில் எந்த ஒரு நன்மையையும் சம்பாதிக்காதிருந்த எந்த ஆத்மாவிற்கும் அது (அந்நாளில்) கொள்ளும் விசுவாசம் யாதொரு பலனையும் அளிக்காது, ஆகவே, (அவர்களிடம், “அப்பெரிய அத்தாட்சிகளை) நீங்கள் எதிர்பார்த்திருங்கள், நிச்சயமாக நாம் எதிர்பார்த்திருப்பவர்களாவோம்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!

Do they then wait for anything other than that the angels should come to them, or that your Lord (Allâh) should come, or that some of the Signs of your Lord should come (i.e. portents of the Hour e.g., rising of the sun from the west)! The day that some of the Signs of your Lord do come, no good will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before, nor earned good (by performing deeds of righteousness) through his Faith. Say: "Wait you! we (too) are waiting."¹

   A) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "The Hour will not be established until the sun rises from the west; and when the people see it, then whoever will be living on the surface of the earth, will have faith, and that is (the time) when no good will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before." (6:158) (Sahih Al-Bukhârî, Vol.6, Hadîth No.159).

   B) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said; "When the following three signs appear, no good will it do to a person to believe then if he believed not before:

   Rising of the sun from the west.

   2) (The coming of Al-Masîh) Ad-Dajjal.

   3) (The coming out of the) Dâbbat-ul-Ard (i.e. a beast from the earth)." (Sahih Muslim - The Book of Fitan - The Signs of the coming of the Hour).

   C). Narrated Anas رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "No Prophet was sent but that he warned his followers against the one-eyed liar (Al-Masîh-Ad-Dajjâl). Beware! He is blind in one eye, and your Lord is not so, and there will be written between his (Al-Masîh Ad-Dajiâl’s) eyes (the word) Kâfir (i.e., disbeliever)." [This Hadîth is also quoted by Abu Hurairah and Ibn ‘Abbâs. (Sahih Al-Bukhârî, Vol.9, Hadîth No.245)].

நிச்சயமாக தங்கள் மார்க்கத்தை(ப் பலவாறாக)ப் பிரித்து, பல பிரிவினர்களாகி விட்டனரே அத்தகையோர் - அவர்களின் எக்காரியத்திலும் நீர் இல்லை, அவர்களுடைய விஷயமெல்லாம் அல்லாஹ்விடமே இருக்கின்றது, அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவற்றை பின்னர் அவன் அவர்களுக்கு அறிவித்து விடுவான்.

Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects)¹, you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) have no concern in them in the least. Their affair is only with Allâh, Who then will tell them what they used to do.

1. It is said that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم recited this Verse and said: "These people are those who invent new things (Bid‘ah) in religion and the followers of the vain desires of this Muslim nation, and their repentance will not be accepted by Allâh."… Show more

   It is said that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم recited this Verse and said: "These people are those who invent new things (Bid‘ah) in religion and the followers of the vain desires of this Muslim nation, and their repentance will not be accepted by Allâh." (TafsirAl-Qurtubi).

   [It has been narrated in the Hadîth Books (At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Mâjah and Abu Dâwûd) that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "The Jews and the Christians will be divided into seventy-one or seventy-two religious sects and this nation will be divided into seventy-three religious sects, - all in Hell, except one, and that one is: on which I and my Companions are today, i.e. following the Qur’ân and the Prophet’s Sunnah (legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements)"].

எவர் ஒருவர் நன்மையைச் செய்கிறாரோ அவருக்கு (நன்மைகளில்)அதைப் போன்றவை பத்து (பங்கு) உண்டு, எவர் ஒருவர் ஒரு தீமையைச் செய்கிறாரோ, அதைப் போன்றதைத் தவிர (அதிகமாக) அவருக்குக் கூலியாக கொடுக்கப்பட மாட்டாது, அவர்களோ அநியாயம் செய்யப்படமாட்டார்கள்.

Whoever brings a good deed (Islâmic Monotheism and deeds of obedience to Allâh and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم) shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit, and whoever brings an evil deed (polytheism, disbelief, hypocrisy, and deeds of disobedience to Allâh and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم) shall have only the recompense of the like thereof, and they will not be wronged.¹
