இழிவான நீரிலிருந்து உங்களை நாம் படைக்கவில்லையா?

Did We not create you from a despised water (semen)?

பின்னர், அதனைப் பாதுகாப்பான இடத்தில் (கர்ப்பப் பையில்) ஆக்கினோம்.

Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb),

குறிப்பிட்ட (கால) அளவு வரை,

For a known period (determined by gestation)?

பின்னர், நாமே அதனை (சிசுவாக) ஏற்படுத்தினோம்; ஏற்படுத்துவோரில் (நாம்) நல்லோராவோம்.

So We did measure; and We are the Best to measure (the things).

(ஆகவே இவைகளைப்) பொய்யாக்குபவர்களுக்கு அந்நாளில் கேடுதான்!

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

அணைத்துக் கொள்ளக்கூடியதாக பூமியை நாம் ஆக்கவில்லையா?

Have We not made the earth a receptacle

உயிரோடிருப்போரையும், மரணித்தோரையும் (அணைத்துக் கொள்ளக் கூடியதாக அதை நாம் ஆக்கினோம்.)

For the living and the dead?

மேலும், அதில் உயர்ந்த மலைகளையும் நாம் அமைத்து, இனிமையான நீரையும் (அவற்றிலிருந்து) உங்களுக்குப் புகட்டுகின்றோம்.

And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains, and have given you to drink sweet water?

(நம்முடைய இவ்வருட்கொடையைப்) பொய்யாக்குபவர்களுக்கு அந்நாளில் கேடுதான்!

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

(மறுமையில் இவர்களிடம்) எ(ந்த நரகத்)தை நீங்கள் பொய்ப்படுத்திக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களோ அதன்பாலே நீங்கள் நடந்து செல்லுங்கள் (என்றும்)

(It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny!

மூன்று கிளைகளையுடைய (நரகப் புகையின்) நிழலின்பால் நீங்கள் நடந்து செல்லுங்கள் (என்றும் அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்படும்.)

"Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-Fire smoke ascending) in three columns,

(அது குளிர்ச்சி தரும்) நிழல் தரக்கூடியதல்ல; தீச்சுவாலையிலிருந்து அது காக்கக்கூடியதுமல்ல.

Neither shady, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire."

(எனினும்) நிச்சயமாக அது-(பெரிய) மாளிகையைப் போன்ற நெருப்புப் பொறிகளை அது வீசி எறியும்.

Verily, it (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr (a fort or a huge log of wood),

நிச்சயமாக அது மஞ்சள் நிறமான (பெரிய) ஒட்டகங்களைப்போல் இருக்கும்.

As if they were yellow camels or bundles of ropes.

(இவைகளைப்) பொய்யாக்குபவர்களுக்கு அந்நாளில் கேடுதான்.

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

இது அவர்கள் பேச முடியாத நாளாகும்.

That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it),

அன்றியும், அவர்களுக்கு (எதுவும் கூற) அனுமதிக்கப்படமாட்டாது; (அவ்வாறிருந்தும் வேதனை தாங்காது) அவர்கள் புகல் கூறுவர்.

And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse.

(இவைகளைப்) பொய்யாக்குபவர்களுக்கு அந்நாளில் கேடுதான்.

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

இது தீர்ப்பு நாள், உங்களையும், (உங்களுக்கு) முன்னுள்ளோரையும் (அந்நாளைக்காக) நாம் ஒன்று சேர்த்துவிட்டோம்.

That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together!

ஆகவே, (“தண்டனையிலிருந்து தப்பித்துக்கொள்ள) உங்களிடம் ஏதும் சூழ்ச்சி இருந்தால் என்னிடம் சூழ்ச்சி செய்து பாருங்கள்” (என்றும் கூறப்படும்)

So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allâh جل جلاله)!

பொய்யாக்குபவர்களுக்கு அந்நாளில் கேடுதான்.

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

நிச்சயமாக பயபக்தியுடையோர்கள், (அந்நாளில் சுவனபதியிலுள்ள மாளிகைகளை, மரங்களின், நிழல்களிலும், ஊற்றுகளின் அருகிலும்) இருப்பார்கள்-

Verily, the Muttaqûn (the pious. See V.2:2) shall be amidst shades and springs.

அவர்கள் விரும்பியவற்றிலுள்ள கனிகளி(லிருந்து புசித்து இன்புறு)வதிலும் இருப்பார்கள்.

And fruits, such as they desire.

(“உலகில் நற்செயல்களை) நீங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்ததன் காரணமாக இன்பமாக உண்ணுங்கள்; இன்னும் பருகுங்கள்” (என்று அவர்களிடம் கூறப்படும்.)

"Eat and drink comfortably for that which you used to do."

இவ்வாறே நன்மை செய்பவர்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக நாம் கூலி வழங்குவோம்.

Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinûn (good-doers. See V.2:112).

(இதனைப்) பொய்யாக்குபவர்களுக்கு அந்நாளில் கேடுதான்.

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

(நம் அத்தாட்சிகளைப்) பொய்யாக்குபவர்களே! உலகில்) நீங்கள் புசியுங்கள், கொஞ்சம் சுகமும் அனுபவியுங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் குற்றவாளிகளே-

(O you disbelievers)! Eat and enjoy yourselves (in this worldly life) for a little while. Verily, you are the Mujrimûn (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals).

(அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்களைப்) பொய்யாக்குபவர்களுக்கு அந்நாளில் கேடுதான்.

மேலும், அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் குனிந்து (தொழுது) கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்று கூறப்பட்டால், அவர்கள் (தொழுது) குனியமாட்டார்கள்.

And when it is said to them: "Bow down yourself (in prayer)!" They bow not down (offer not their prayers).¹

   A) Narrated Anas bin Mâlik رضي الله عنه: Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: Lâ ilâha illallâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh). And if they say so, perform As-Salât (the prayer) like our Salât (prayers), face our Qîblah and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allâh."

   Narrated Maimûn bin Siyâh that he asked Anas bin Mâlik, "O Abu Hamzah! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?" He replied, "Whoever says, Lâ ilâha illallâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh), faces our Qîblah during the Salât (prayers), perform As-Salât (the prayer) like us, and eat our slaughtered animals then he is a Muslim and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have." (Sahih Al Bukhari, Vol.1, Hadith No.387).

   B) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "If the people knew (the reward for) pronouncing the Adhân and for standing in the first row (in congregational prayers) and found no other way to get that except by drawing lots they would draw lots, and if they knew (the reward of) the Zuhr prayer (in the early moments of its stated time) they would race for it (go early) and if they knew (the reward of) ‘Ishâ and Fajr (night and morning) prayers in congregation, they would come to offer them even if they had to crawl." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Hadith No.589).

(அவனது இக்கட்டளையைப்) பொய்யாக்குபவர்களுக்கு அந்நாளில் கேடுதான்.

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

எனவே (குர் ஆனாகிய) இதற்குப் பின்னர், எவ்விஷயத்தைத்தான் அவர்கள் விசுவாசிப்பார்கள்?

Then in what statement after this (the Qur’ân) will they believe?
