மேலும், உமதிரட்சகன் நாடியிருந்தால் (அனைத்து) மனிதர்களை ஒரே சமூகத்தினராக ஆக்கியிருப்பான், இன்னும், அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள் மாறுபட்டுக் கொண்டவர்களாவே இருப்பார்கள்-

And if your Lord had so willed, He could surely have made mankind one Ummah [nation or community (following one religion i.e. Islâm)] but they will not cease to disagree.

(அவர்களில்) உமதிரட்சகன் அருள் புரிந்தவர்களைத் தவிர, இதற்காகவே (மாறுபடும்) அவர்களைப் படைத்துமிருக்கிறான், “(பாவம் செய்த) ஜின்கள், மற்றும் மனிதர்கள் ஆகிய அனைவராலும் நிச்சயமாக நான் நரகத்தை நிரப்புவேன்” என்ற உமதிரட்சகன் வாக்கும் பூர்த்தியாகிவிட்டது.

Except him on whom your Lord has bestowed His Mercy (the follower of truth - Islâmic Monotheism) and for that¹ did He create them. And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled (i.e. His Saying): "Surely, I shall fill Hell with jinn and men all together."

1. i.e. to show mercy to the good-doers, the blessed ones who are destined to paradise, and not to show mercy to the evil-doers, the wretched ones who are destined to Hell [this is the statement of Ibn Abbâs رضي الله عنهما, as quoted in Tafsir Qurtubi].

நம் தூதர்களின் செய்திகளிலிருந்து உம் இதயத்தை எதைக்கொண்டு நாம் உறுதிப்படுத்துவோமோ அவை ஒவ்வொன்றையும் நாம் உமக்குக் கூறினோம், உமக்கு இவற்றில் உண்மை(யானவை)யும் விசுவாசிகளுக்கு நல்லுபதேசமும் நினைவூட்டலும் வந்துவிட்டது.

And all that We relate to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) of the news of the Messengers is in order that We may make strong and firm your heart thereby. And in this (chapter of the Qur’an) has come to you the truth, as well as an admonition and a reminder for the believers.

மேலும், விசுவாசங்கொள்ளாதவர்களுக்கு (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக! “நீங்கள் உங்கள் வழியில் (உங்கள் காரியங்களைச்) செய்து கொண்டிருங்கள், நிச்சயமாக நாங்களும் (எங்கள் வழியில் எங்கள் காரியங்களைச்) செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்”

And say to those who do not believe: "Act according to your ability and way, We are acting (in our way).

நீங்களும் எதிர்பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருங்கள், நிச்சயமாக நாங்களும் அதை எதிர்பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்”

And you wait! We (too) are waiting."

வானங்களில் மற்றும், பூமியில் மறைந்திருப்பவை (யாவும்) அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியன, சகல காரியமும் அவனிடமே மீட்டப்படும், ஆதலால், அவ(ன் ஒருவ)னையே வணங்குவீராக! (சகல காரியங்களையும் ஒப்படைத்து முழுமையாக) அவன் மீதே நம்பிக்கையும் வைப்பீராக! உமதிரட்சகன், நீங்கள் செய்வவைகளைப் பற்றி பாராமுகமானவனாகவுமில்லை.

And to Allâh belongs the Ghaib (Unseen) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) and put your trust in Him. And your Lord is not unaware of what you (people) do.

அலிப் லாம் றா. இவை தெளிவான (இவ்)வேதத்தின் வசனங்களாகும்.

Alif-Lâm-Râ. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]. These are the Verses of the Clear Book (the Qur’ân that makes clear the legal and illegal things, laws, a guidance and a blessing).

நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்வதற்காக இதனை அரபி மொழியிலான குர் ஆனாக நிச்சயமாக நாம் இறக்கி வைத்தோம்.

Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’ân in order that you may understand.

(நபியே!) இந்தக் குர் ஆனை நாம் உமக்கு அறிவித்திருப்பதின் மூலம் மிக்க அழகான வரலாற்றை உமக்கு நாம் கூறுகிறோம், இதற்கு முன்னர் நிச்சயமாக (இதனைப்பற்றி) அறியாதவர்களில் (ஒருவராக) நீர் இருந்தீர்.

We relate unto you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) the best of stories through Our Revelations unto you, of this Qur’ân. And before this (i.e. before the coming of Divine Revelation to you), you were among those who knew nothing about it (the Qur’ân).

யூஸுஃப் தன் தந்தையிடம் “என் தந்தையே! பதினொரு நட்சத்திரங்களையும் சூரியனையும், சந்திரனையும் நிச்சயமாக நான் (கனவில்) கண்டேன், எனக்குச் சிரம் பணிபவையாக அவற்றை நான் கண்டேன்” என்று கூறிய சமயத்தில்,

(Remember) when Yûsuf (Joseph) said to his father: "O my father! Verily, I saw (in a dream) eleven stars and the sun and the moon - I saw them prostrating themselves to me."
