50. Qaf

காஃப் கண்ணியமிக்க இக் குர்ஆன் மீது சத்தியமாக! (மரணத்திற்குப்பின் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் உயிர்கொடுத்து எழுப்பப்படுவீர்கள்).

Qâf. [These letters (Qâf, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the Glorious Qur’ân.

என்றாலும் அவர்களிலிருந்தே அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவர் அவர்களுக்கு வந்ததைப்பற்றி அவர்கள் ஆச்சரியப்படுகின்றனர், ஆகவே, இது ஆச்சரியமான விஷயம் என்று நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர்.

Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: "This is a strange thing!

“நாம் இறந்து (உக்கி) மண்ணாகிவிட்டாலும் உயிர் கொடுத்து எழுப்பப்படுவோமா? (அது இயற்கைக்கு மாற்றமானதாகும் ஆகவே,) அது தூரமான மீட்சியாகும்” (என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்).

"When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return."

(இறந்தபின்) அவர்களிலிருந்து (அவர்களின் உடலை எந்த அளவு) பூமி (தின்று) குறைத்திருக்கிறது என்பதைத் திட்டமாக நாம் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம், மேலும், (அவர்களின் செயல்கள் பதியப்பட்டு) பாதுகாக்கப்பட்ட புத்தகம் நம்மிடத்தில் இருக்கின்றது.

We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees).

மாறாக, உண்மையை-அது அவர்களிடம் வந்தபோது அவர்கள் பொய்யாக்கினார்கள், ஆகவே, அவர்கள் குழப்பமான காரியத்தில் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Qur’ân) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (cannot differentiate between right and wrong).

தங்களுக்கு மேல் (இருக்கும்) வானத்தின் பால், அதனை நாம் எவ்வாறு (ஒரு கட்டுக்கோப்பாக) அமைத்து, அதனை (நட்சத்திரங்களால்) அலங்காரமாக்கி வைத்துள்ளோம் என்பதை அவர்கள் (கவனித்துப்) பார்க்கவில்லையா? அதில் எத்தகைய வெடிப்புகளும் இல்லை.

Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it?

மேலும் பூமியை- நாமே அதை (விரிவாக்கி) விரித்திருக்கிறோம், அதில் உறுதியான மலைகளையும் நாமே அமைத்தோம், அழகான (புற்பூண்டுகளை) ஒவ்வொரு வகையிலிருந்தும் நாம் அதில் முளைப்பித்தோம்.

And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants).

இது (அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப்) பணிந்து அவன் பக்கம் அதிகமாக) மீளக்கூடிய ஒவ்வொரு அடியாருக்கும் பார்(த்துப்படிப்பினை பெறுப)வையாகவும், நினைவூட்டக்கூடியதாகவும் இருக்கின்றது.

An insight and a Reminder for every slave who turns to Allâh in repentance (i.e. the one who believes in the Oneness of Allâh and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon).

வானத்திலிருந்து, மிக்க பாக்கியமுள்ள (மழை) நீரையும் நாம் இறக்கிவைத்தோம், பின்னர், அதனைக்கொண்டு (பல) சோலைகளையும் அறுவடை செய்யப்படும் தானிய மணிகளையும் முளைக்கச் செய்தோம்.

And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped.

அன்றியும், (அந்நீரைக்கொண்டு) நீண்டு வளர்ந்த பேரீச்சமரங்களையும் (நாம் முளைப்பிக்கச் செய்தோம்) அவைகளுக்கு அடுக்கடுக்கான பாளைகளிருக்கின்றன.

And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters.

(அதனை நம்) அடியார்களுக்கு ஆகாரமாக (ஆக்கினோம்), இன்னும், அதைக் கொண்டு இறந்துகிடந்த ஊரை (வறண்டபூமியை) நாம் உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றோம், இவ்வாறே (மரணித்தோர் உயிர்பெற்று) வெளியேறுதலும் (நடந்தேறும்).

A provision for (Allâh’s) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead).

இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் (இருந்த) நூஹ்வுடைய சமூகத்தாரும், ரஸ்ஸு (கிணற்று)வாசிகளும், ஸமூது (சமூகத்தாரும்) பொய்யாக்கினர்.

Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah) the people of Nûh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and Thamûd;

ஆது (சமூகத்தாரும்), ஃபிர் அவ்னும்,லூத்துடைய சகோதரர்களும்-

And ‘Âd, and Fir‘aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lût (Lot);

இன்னும் (மத்யன்) தோப்பு வாசிகளும், துப்பஉ வின் சமூகத்தினரும்-ஒவ்வொருவரும் நம்முடைய தூதர்களைப் பொய்யாக்கினர், ஆகவே, (வேதனையைப்பற்றிய) எனது அச்சுறுத்தல் உண்மையாயிற்று.

And the Dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba‘. Everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect.

(படைப்புகள் யாவற்றையும்) முதலாவதாகப் படைத்ததில் நாம் இயலாமலாகி விட்டோமோ? அவ்வாறன்று! (இறந்தபின் உயிர் கொடுத்து நாம்) புதிதாகப்படைப்பது பற்றி இவர்கள் சந்தேகத்திலிருக்கின்றனர்.

Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, they are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection).

மேலும், நிச்சயமாக, நாம்தான் மனிதனைப் படைத்தோம், (நன்மை, தீமை ஆகியவற்றிலிருந்து) அவன் மனம் எதை ஊசலாடச் செய்கிறது (பேசுகிறது) என்பதையும் நாம் நன்கறிவோம், இன்னும், நாம் பிடரி(யிலுள்ள உயிர்) நரம்பைவிட அவனுக்கு மிகச்சமீபமாகவே இருக்கின்றோம்.

And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge).

வலது புறத்திலும் இடது புறத்திலும் அமர்ந்து (செயல்களை) எடுத்தெழுதும் இரு(வான)வர் எடுத்தெழுதும் சமயத்தில்-

(Remember) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being),¹ one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions).²

1. A Narrated ‘Âishah رضي الله عنها The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: The deeds of the following three persons are not recorded by the pen:

   A sleeping person till he wakes up.

   2. A child till he reaches the age of puberty.

   3. An insane person till he becomes sane.

   This Hadith is quoted by An-Nasâ’i, The Book of Divorce. Chap.21.

அவனிடம் (அதை) எழுத எதிர்பார்த்து தயாராக இருக்கின்ற கண்காணிப்பாளர் இருந்தே தவிர சொல்லாமல் எதையும் அவன் மொழிவதில்லை, (அவன் கூறுபவை அனைத்தும் பதியப்படுகின்றது.)

Not a word does he (or she) utter but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it).¹

மரண மயக்கம் உண்மையாகவே வந்துவிட்டது, (அவனிடம்) அது, நீ எதை விட்டும் வெருண்டோடிக் கொண்டிருந்தாயோ அதுவாகும் (என்று கூறப்படும்).

And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!"

மேலும், குழல் ஊதப்படும், (அப்போது அவனிடம் உனக்கு) இது அச்சுறுத்தப்பட்ட (விசாரணை) நாளாகும் (என்று கூறப்படும்.)

And the Trumpet will be blown - that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).

(அந்நாளில்) ஒவ்வோர் ஆத்மாவும் -(அதை) அழைத்துச் செல்பவரும், சாட்சி கூறுபவரும் அதனுடன் இருக்கும் நிலையில்-வரும்.

And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him) and an (angel) to bear witness.

(அதனிடம்) திட்டமாக நீ இதனைப்பற்றி மறதியில் இருந்தாய், ஆகவே, (மறுமையில் நடந்தேறும் காரியங்கள் பற்றி மறைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்த) உன்திரையை உம்மை விட்டும் நாம் நீக்கிவிட்டோம், எனவே, உன்னுடைய பார்வை இன்று கூர்மையாயிருக்கின்றது (ஆகவே, நீ இதனைப் பார் என்று கூறப்படும்).

(It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this. Now We have removed from you your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!"

(சாட்சி கூற) அவனுடன் இருப்பவர் “இதோ (அவனுடைய பதிவேடு) என்னிடமிருப்பது தயாராக இருக்கின்றது” என்று கூறுவார்.

And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!"

(உடனே இரு காவலர்களிடம்) “மனமுரண்டாக நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த ஒவ்வொருவரையும் நீங்கள் இருவரும் நரகத்தில் போட்டுவிடுங்கள்” (என்று கூறப்படும்).

(Allah will say to the angels): "Both of you throw into Hell every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allâh, in His Messengers).

(அவன்) நன்மையை அதிமாகத் தடுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவன், (அட்டூழியம் செய்வதில்) வரம்புமீறிக் கொண்டிருந்தவன், (இந்நாளை) சந்தேகித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவன்.

"Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறொரு (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய) நாயனை (இணையாக) ஆக்கினான். ஆகவே, நீங்களிருவரும் இவனை மிகக் கொடிய வேதனையில் போட்டுவிடுங்கள் (என்றும் கூறப்படும்).

"Who set up another ilâh (god) with Allâh. Then both of you cast him in the severe torment."

(அச்சமயம்) இவனுடைய (இணை பிரியாத) சிநேகிதன் (ஆக இருந்த ஷைத்தான் அல்லாஹ்விடம்), “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! நான் இவனை வழிகெடுக்க வில்லை, ஆனால், (தானாக) அவனே வெகுதூரமான வழிகேட்டில் இருந்து விட்டான்!” என்று கூறுவான்.

His companion (Satan - devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgression, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray."

(ஆகவே அல்லாஹ் அவர்களிடம், கணக்கு நாளாகிய இன்று) “என்னிடம் நீங்கள் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டாம், (இது பற்றிய) அச்சுறுத்தலை நிச்சயமாக உங்களின் பால் (நீங்கள் உலகிலிருந்தபோதே என் தூதர்கள் மூலமாக) நான் முற்படுத்தியும் விட்டேன்” என்று கூறுவான்.

Allâh will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already in advance sent you the threat.

“(என்னுடைய) அச்சொல் என்னிடம் மாற்றப்படமாட்டாது, மேலும், என்னுடைய அடியார்களுக்கு நான் சிறிதும் அநியாயம் செய்பவனில்லை” (என்றும் கூறுவான்).

The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust to the slaves."

நரகத்திடம், “நீ நிரம்பிவிட்டாயா?” என்று நாம் கேட்கும் நாளில் அ(ந்நரகமான)து “இன்னும் அதிகமாக ஏதும் இருக்கின்றதா?” என்று கேட்கும்.

On the Day when We will say to Hell: "Are you filled?" It will say: "Are there any more (to come)?"¹

1. Allah’s Statement: "It (Hell) will say: ‘Are there any more (to come)?’"

   Narrated Anas رضي الله عنه : The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "The people will be thrown into the (Hell) Fire and it will say: ‘Are there any more (to come)?’ till Allah will put His Foot over it and it will say: ‘Qat ! Qat ! (Enough! Enough!)’" (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.6, Hadîth No.371).

மேலும், (அந்நாளில்) பயபக்தியுடையோருக்கு சுவனத்தைத் தொலைவின்றி நெருக்கமாகக் கொண்டுவரப்படும்.

And Paradise will be brought near to the Muttaqûn (the pious. See V.2:2), not far off.

இது தான் நீங்கள் வாக்களிக்கபட்டீர்களே அதுவாகும், (இரட்சகனின்பால் தவ்பாச் செய்து) அதிகமாக மீளக்கூடிய, (அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளைகளைப்) பேணி நடந்து கொண்ட ஒவ்வொருவருக்கு(மாகு)ம்.

(It will be said): "This is what you were promised - (it is) for those oft-returning (to Allâh) in sincere repentance, and those who preserve their covenant with Allâh (by obeying Him in all what He has ordered, and worshipping none but Allâh Alone, i.e. follow Allâh’s religion - Islâmic Monotheism).

எவர்கள் மறைவில் அர்ரஹ்மானுக்கு பயந்து நடந்து, (அவன்பால்) மீளக்கூடிய (பரிசுத்த) மனத்துடன் வருகின்றார்களோ (அவர்களுக்குச் சுவனம் நெருக்கமாக்கப்பட்டு அவர்களிடம்),

"Who feared the Most Gracious (Allâh) in the Ghaib (Unseen) and brought a heart turned in repentance (to Him and absolutely free from each and every kind of polytheism).

சாந்தியுடன் நீங்கள் இதில் நுழையுங்கள், இது நிரந்தர நாளாகும் (என்றும் அவர்களுக்கு கூறப்படும்).

"Enter you therein in peace and security - this is a Day of eternal life!"

அவர்கள் நாடியதெல்லாம் அதில் அவர்களுக்குண்டு, இன்னும், நம்மிடத்தில் (அவர்கள் கேட்டதைவிட) அதிகம் உண்டு.

There they will have all that they desire - and We have more (for them, i.e. a glance at the All-Mighty, All-Majestic جل جلاله).

இவர்களைவிட மிக்க பலசாலிகளாக இருந்த எத்தனையோ தலைமுறையினரை இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் நாம் அழித்திருக்கின்றோம், அவர்கள் (தப்பித்துக்கொள்ளும் இடத்தை தேடி) பல ஊர்களிலும் சுற்றித்திரிந்தனர், (ஆயினும்) அவர்களுக்குத் தப்பி ஓடுமிடம் இருந்ததா?

And how many a generation We have destroyed before them who were stronger in power than they. And (when Our Torment came), they ran for a refuge in the land! Could they find any place of refuge (for them to save themselves from destruction)?

எவருக்கு (அவர்களை அழித்தது பற்றி சிந்தித்துணரும்) உள்ளமிருக்கிறதோ அவருக்கு, அல்லது மனமுவந்தவராக செவிசாய்க்கின்றாரோ அவருக்கு நிச்சயமாக இதில் (நல்ல) படிப்பினை இருக்கின்றது.

Verily, therein is indeed a reminder for him who has a heart or gives ear while he is heedful.

இன்னும், திட்டமாக வானங்களையும், பூமியையும், அவை இரண்டிற்கு மத்தியிலுள்ளவைகளையும் ஆறு நாட்களில் நாம் படைத்தோம், (அதனால்) எவ்வித களைப்பும் நம்மை தீண்டவில்லை.

And indeed We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in six Days and nothing of fatigue touched Us.

எனவே (நபியே!) அவர்கள் (உம்மைக் குறை) கூறுவதைப் பற்றி (பொருட்படுத்தாது) நீர் பொறுமையுடனிருப்பீராக! இன்னும் சூரிய உதயத்திற்கு முன்னரும், (அதன்) அஸ்தமனத்திற்கு முன்னரும் உமதிரட்சகனின் புகழைக் கொண்டு துதி செய்து கொண்டுமிருப்பீராக!

So bear with patience (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) all that they say, and glorify the Praises of your Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting (i.e. the Fajr, Zuhr, and ‘Asr prayers)¹.

1. . a) Narrated Qais: Jarîr said, "We were with the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and he looked at the moon on a full-moon night and said: ‘Certainly you will see your Lord as you see this moon and you will have no trouble in seeing Him. So if you can avoid… Show more

   a) Narrated Qais: Jarîr said, "We were with the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and he looked at the moon on a full-moon night and said: ‘Certainly you will see your Lord as you see this moon and you will have no trouble in seeing Him. So if you can avoid missing (through sleep or business) a prayer before the sunrise (Fajr) and a prayer before sunset (‘Asr ), you must do so’. ‘He then recited Allah’s Statement:

   "And glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun, and before (its) setting." (V.50:39).

   Ismâ‘îl said: "Offer those prayers and do not miss them." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.1, Hadîth No.529)

   b) See the footnote of (V.32:16).

இன்னும், இரவில் ஒரு பாகத்திலும், (ஒவ்வொரு முறையும்) சிரம்பணிந்(து தொழு)ததற்குப் பின்னரும் அவனைத் துதி செய்து கொண்டிருப்பீராக!

And during a part of the night (also) glorify His praises (i.e. Maghrib and ‘Isha prayers) and (so likewise) after the prayers [As-Sunnah, Nawâfil - optional and additional prayers. And also glorify, praise and magnify Allâh - Subhân Allâh, Alhamdu lillâh, Allâhu-Akbar].
