42. Ash-Shuraa

ஹா மீம்.

Hâ-Mîm.

அய்ன் ஸீன் காஃப்

‘Aîn-Sîn-Qâf.

(நபியே! யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனான, தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவனான அல்லாஹ் உமக்கும், உமக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களுக்கும் இவ்வாறே (தன்னுடைய வசனங்களை) வஹீ மூலம் அறிவிக்கிறான்.

Likewise Allâh, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise sends Revelation to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) as (He sent Revelation to) those before you.¹

வானங்களிலுள்ளவைகளும், பூமியிலுள்ளவைகளும் அவனுக்கே உரியவையாகும், (யாவரையும் விட) அவனே மிக்க உயர்வானவன், மிக மகத்தானவன்.

To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and He is the Most High, the Most Great.

(அல்லாஹ்வின் மகத்துவத்தால்) வானங்கள்-அவற்றின் மேற்புறத்திலிருந்து பிளந்துவிட சமீபிக்கும், மலக்குகளும் (பயந்து) தங்களிரட்சகனின் புகழைக் கொண்டு துதி செய்து, பூமியில் உள்ளவர்களுக்காக பாவமன்னிப்புத் தேடுகின்றனர், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வே, மிக்க மன்னிப்பவன், மிக்க கிருபையுடையோன் என்பதை (நபியே! நீர்) அறிந்துகொள்வீராக!

Nearly the heavens might be rent asunder from above them (by His Majesty): and the angels glorify the praises of their Lord, and ask for forgiveness for those on the earth. Verily, Allâh is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

அன்றியும், அவனைத்தவிர (தங்களுக்குப்) பாதுகாவலர்களாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்களே அத்தகையவர்கள்- அல்லாஹ் அவர்(களின் செயல்)களை கவனித்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான், (நபியே!) அவர்கள் (காரியத்தின்) மீது நீர் பொறுப்பாளரும் அல்லர்.

And as for those who take as Auliyâ’ (guardians, supporters, helpers, lords, gods, protectors) others besides Him [i.e. they take false deities other than Allâh as protectors, and they worship them] - Allâh is Hafîz (Protector, Watcher) over them (i.e. takes care of their deeds and will recompense them), and you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) are not a Wakîl (guardian or a disposer of their affairs) over them (to protect their deeds).

மேலும், அவ்வாறே “நகரங்களின் தாய் (ஆகிய மக்காவில் உள்ளோரு)க்கும், அதைச் சூழ உள்ளோ(ராகிய அகிலத்தார் யாவ)ருக்கும், நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பதற்காகவும் அதில் சந்தேகத்திற்கிடமின்றி (மனிதர்கள்) ஒன்று திரட்டப்படும் (மறுமை) நாளைப்பற்றியும் நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பதற்காகவும் அரபி (மொழி)க் குர் ஆனை உமக்கு நாம் (வஹீயின்மூலம்) அறிவித்தோம். (அந்நாளில்) ஒரு கூட்டத்தார் சுவனத்திலும், ஒரு கூட்டத்தார் நரகத்திலும் (இருப்பார்கள்).

And thus We have revealed to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) a Qur’ân in Arabic that you may warn the Mother of the Towns (Makkah) and all around it, and warn (them) of the Day of Assembling of which there is no doubt: when a party will be in Paradise (those who believed in Allâh and followed what Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم brought them) and a party in the blazing Fire (Hell) (those who disbelieved in Allâh and followed not what Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم brought them).¹

அன்றியும் அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால், அவர்களை (ஒரே மார்க்கத்தையுடைய) ஒரே சமுதாயத்தினராக ஆக்கியிருப்பான், எனினும், தான் நாடியவர்களை தன் அருளில் அவன் புகச் செய்வான், அநியாயக்காரர்களோ- அவர்களுக்குப் பாதுகாவலனும் இல்லை, எந்த உதவியாளனும் இல்லை.

And if Allâh had willed, He could have made them one nation, but He admits whom He wills to His Mercy. And the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) will have neither a Walî (protector or guardian) nor a helper.

(நபியே! அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவனைத்தவிர (வேறு) பாதுகாவலர்களை அவர்கள் எடுத்துக்கொண்டனரா? (அது சரியல்ல) ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ் அவன் (ஒருவன்) தான் (உண்மையான) பாதுகாவலன், அவனே மரணித்தோரை உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான், அவன் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையவன்.

Or have they taken (for worship) Auliyâ’ (guardians, supporters, helpers, protectors, lords, gods) besides Him? But Allâh - He Alone is the Walî (Lord, God, Protector). And it is He Who gives life to the dead, and He is Able to do all things.

இன்னும் (நபியே! அவர்களிடம் நீர் கூறுவீராக!) நீங்கள் எவ்விஷயத்தில் கருத்து வேறுபாடுகொண்டிருக்கிறீர்களோ, அதன் தீர்ப்பு அல்லாஹ்வின் பக்கமே இருக்கின்றது, அந்த அல்லாஹ்தான் என் இரட்சகன், அவன்மீதே (என்னுடைய காரியங்களை ஒப்படைத்து முழுமையாக) நம்பிக்கை வைக்கிறேன், இன்னும் அவனளவிலேயே (வழிபட்டு) நான் திரும்புவேன்.

And in whatsoever you differ, the decision thereof is with Allâh (He is the ruling Judge). (And say O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم to these polytheists:) Such is Allâh, my Lord in Whom I put my trust, and to Him I turn (in all of my affairs and) in repentance.

(அவனே) வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் புதிதாகப் படைத்தவன், உங்களுக்காக உங்களிலிருந்தே ஜோடி(களான மனைவி)களையும், கால்நடைகளிலிருந்து ஜோடிகளையும் அவன் ஆக்கி அதைக்கொண்டு (இன உற்பத்திகளை இவ்வாறே பெருக்கி) உங்களை அவன் அதில் பரவச் செய்கிறான், அவனைப்போன்று எப்பொருளும் இல்லை, அவனே (யாவற்றையும்) செவியேற்கிறவன், பார்க்கிறவன்.

The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you mates from yourselves, and for the cattle (also) mates. By this means He creates you (in the wombs). There is nothing like Him; and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.

வானங்கள் மற்றும் பூமியின் (களஞ்சியங்களின்) சாவிகள் அவனுக்கே உரியதாகும். அவன் நாடியவர்களுக்கு உணவை (சம்பத்தை) விரிவாக்குகின்றான், அளவோடும் கொடுக்கிறான். நிச்சயமாக அவன், ஒவ்வொரு பொருளைப் பற்றியும் நன்கறிகிறவன்.

To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. He enlarges provision for whom He wills, and straitens (it for whom He wills). Verily He is the All-Knower of everything.

(விசுவாசிகளே!) மார்க்கத்திலிருந்து நூஹ்வுக்கு எதனை அவன் உபதேசித்தானோ, அதனையே உங்களுக்கு அவன் மார்க்கமாக்கி இருக்கின்றான், ஆகவே, (நபியே!) நாம் உமக்கு வஹீமூலம் அறிவித்ததும், இப்றாஹீம் , மூஸா, ஈஸா ஆகியோருக்கு நாம் உபதேசித்ததும் (என்னவென்றால்) “நீங்கள் (ஏகதெய்வக் கொள்கையுடைய சத்திய) மார்க்கத்தை நிலை நிறுத்துங்கள், நீங்கள் அதில் பிரிந்தும்விடாதீர்கள் (என்பதேயாகும்), ஆகவே இணைவைத்துக்கொண்டிருப்போர்களுக்கு, அவர்களை எதன் பால் நீர் அழைக்கின்றீரோ அது பளுவாகத் தெரிகிறது. அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவர்களை தன் பக்கம் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக் கொள்கிறான், அவன் பக்கம் மீள்வோருக்கு நேர் வழியும் காட்டுகிறான்.

He (Allâh) has ordained for you the same religion (Islâmic Monotheism) which He ordained for Nûh (Noah), and that which We have revealed to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), and that which We ordained for Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Mûsâ (Moses) and ‘Îsâ (Jesus) saying you should establish religion (i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically), and make no divisions¹ in it (religion) (i.e. various sects in religion). Intolerable for the Mushrikûn,² is that (Islamic Monotheism) to which you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) call them. Allâh chooses for Himself whom He wills, and guides unto Himself who turns to Him in repentance and in obedience.

அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கிடையிலுள்ள பொறாமையால் தங்களிடம் (வேத) அறிவு வந்த பின்னரே தவிர, (இம்மார்க்கத்தில்) அவர்கள் பிரிந்துவிடவில்லை. (அவர்களுக்குரிய தீர்ப்பு) ஒரு குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட தவணைவரைதான் என்று உமதிரட்சகனுடைய வாக்கு முந்தியிருக்காவிடில், அவர்களுக்கிடையில் (இதுவரை) தீர்ப்பளிக்கபட்டிருக்கும், இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னர், அவ்வேதத்திற்கு அனந்தரகாரர்களாக ஆக்கப்பட்டார்களே, அத்தகையோர் அ(வ்வேதத்)திலிருந்து அவநம்பிக்கை ஏற்படுத்தக்கூடிய சந்தேகத்தில் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

And they divided not till after knowledge had come to them, through (selfish) transgression between themselves. And had it not been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord for an appointed term, the matter would have been settled between them. And verily, those who were made to inherit the Scripture [i.e. the Taurâh (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] after them (i.e. Jews and Christians) are in grave doubt concerning it (i.e. Allâh’s true religion - Islâm or the Qur’ân).

ஆகவே, அதற்காக(-சத்தியமார்க்கத்தின்பால் அவர்களை) நீர் அழைப்பீராக! நீர் ஏவப்பட்ட பிரகாரம் நிலைத்தும் நிற்பீராக! அவர்களுடைய மனோ இச்சைகளையும் நீர் பின்பற்றாதீர், இன்னும், (அவர்களிடம்) நீர் கூறுவீராக “அல்லாஹ் வேதத்திலிருந்து எதனை இறக்கி வைத்தானோ, அதனையே நான் விசுவாசிக்கின்றேன், உங்களுக்கிடையில் நீதமாகவே தீர்ப்பளிக்குமாறு நான் கட்டளையிடப்பட்டுள்ளேன், அல்லாஹ் (தான்) எங்கள் இரட்சகனும் உங்கள் இரட்சகனுமாவான், எங்கள் செயல்கள் எங்களுக்கு, உங்கள் செயல்களோ உங்களுக்கு, எங்களுக்கிடையிலும் உங்களுக்கிடையிலும் யாதொரு தர்க்கமும் இல்லை, நம்மிடையே (மறுமையில்) அல்லாஹ் ஒன்று சேர்ப்பான், அவன்பக்கமே (நாம் யாவரும்) திரும்பிச் செல்ல வேண்டியதிருக்கிறது.

So unto this (religion of Islâm alone and this Qur’ân) then invite (people) (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), and stand firm [on Islâmic Monotheism by performing all that is ordained by Allâh (good deeds), and by abstaining from all that is forbidden by Allâh (sins and evil deeds)], as you are commanded, and follow not their desires but say: "I believe in whatsoever Allâh has sent down of the Book [all the holy Books, - this Qur’ân and the Books of the old from the Taurât (Torah), or the Injeel (Gospel) or the Pages of Ibrâhîm (Abraham)] and I am commanded to do justice among you. Allâh is our Lord and your Lord. For us our deeds and for you your deeds. There is no dispute between us and you. Allâh will assemble us (all), and to Him is the final return."

இன்னும், அல்லாஹ்வி(ன் விஷயத்தி)ல் (விசுவாசிகளால்) அவனது அழைப்பிற்கு பதில் கூறப்பட்ட பின்னர் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோர்-அவர்களுடைய தர்க்கம் அவர்களின் இரட்சகனிடம் வீணானதாகும், அவர்களின் மீது (அல்லாஹ்வின்) கோபமும் உண்டு, கடினமான வேதனையும் அவர்களுக்கு உண்டு.

And those who dispute concerning Allâh (His religion of Islâmic Monotheism with which Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم has been sent), after it has been accepted (by the people), of no use is their dispute before their Lord and on them is wrath, and for them will be a severe torment.¹

அல்லாஹ் எத்தகையவனென்றால், அவன்தான் உண்மையைக்கொண்டு (இவ்) வேதத்தையும், நீதத்தையும் இறக்கிவைத்தான், (நபியே!) மறுமை நாள் சமீபத்தில் இருக்கலாம் என உமக்கு அறிவிப்பது எது?

It is Allâh Who has sent down the Book (the Qur’ân) in truth, and the Balance (i.e. to act justly). And what can make you know that perhaps the Hour is close at hand?

(மறுமைநாளான) அதனை நம்பிக்கைக் கொள்ளாதவர்கள் அதைப்பற்றி (எப்போதுவரும், என்று) அவசரப்படுகின்றனர், மேலும், விசுவாசம் கொண்டார்களே அத்தகையவர்கள் அதனைப்பற்றி பயந்தவர்களாக இருக்கின்றார்கள்; இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக, அது (வருவது) உண்மைதான் என்றும் அவர்கள் அறிவார்கள், நிச்சயமாக மறுமையைப்பற்றி சந்தேகத்திலிருக்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையவர்கள், வெகு தூரமான வழிகேட்டில்தான் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்பதை (நபியே! நீர்) அறிந்துகொள்வீராக.

Those who believe not therein seek to hasten it, while those who believe are fearful of it, and know that it is the very truth. Verily, those who dispute concerning the Hour are certainly in error far away.

அல்லாஹ், தன் அடியார்களை அன்பாகக் கவனித்து வருபவன். (ஆகவே) அவன் நாடியவர்களுக்கு (வேண்டிய) உணவளிக்கிறான்; அவனே பலமிக்கவன் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தோன்.

Allâh is very Gracious and Kind to His slaves. He gives provisions to whom He wills. And He is the All-Strong, the All-Mighty.

(தன் செயலின் மூலம்) எவர் மறுமையின் விளைச்சலை (பயனை) நாடுகின்றாரோ, அவருடைய விளைச்சலில் நாம் அவருக்காக அதிகப்படுத்துவோம், இன்னும் எவர் இம்மையின் விளைச்சலை-(பயனை மட்டும்) நாடுகின்றாரோ, நாம் அவருக்கு அதிலிருந்து கொடுக்கின்றோம், அவருக்கு மறுமையில் யாதொரு பாத்தியதையுமில்லை.

Whosoever desires (by his deeds) the reward of the Hereafter, We give him increase in his reward, and whosoever desires the reward of this world (by his deeds), We give him thereof (what is decreed for him), and he has no portion in the Hereafter.

மார்க்கத்தில் அல்லாஹ் எதற்கு அனுமதியளிக்கவில்லையோ அதை அவர்களுக்கு மார்க்கமாக்கி வைக்ககூடிய இணையாளர்கள் அவர்களுக்கு இருக்கின்றார்களா? (கூலி கொடுப்பது மறுமை நாளில்தான் என்ற) தீர்ப்புப்பற்றிய (அல்லாஹ்வுடைய) வாக்கு இல்லாதிருந்தால், அவர்களுக்கிடையில் (இது வரையில்) தீர்ப்பளிக்கப்பட்டே இருக்கும், நிச்சயமாக (இத்தகைய) அநியாயக்காரர்கள்-அவர்களுக்குத் துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனை உண்டு.

Or have they partners with Allâh (false gods) who have instituted for them a religion which Allâh has not ordained? And had it not been for a decisive Word (gone forth already), the matter would have been judged between them. And verily, for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) there is a painful torment.

(நபியே!) அநியாயக்காரர்களை- தங்கள் சம்பாதித்ததிலிருந்து (தங்களுக்கு என்ன ஏற்படுமோ என) பயந்து கொண்டிருப்பவர்களாக (அந்நாளில்) நீர் காண்பீர். அதுவோ அவர்களுக்கு நிகழக்கூடியதாக உள்ளது, இன்னும் விசுவாசங்கொண்டு; நற்கருமங்களும் செய்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையவர்கள், சுவனபதிகளின் பூங்காவனங்களில் இருப்பார்கள், அவர்களுடைய இரட்சகனிடத்தில் அவர்கள் நாடியவை அவர்களுக்குண்டு, அதுவே மிகப்பெரும் பேரருளாகும்.

You will see (on the Day of Resurrection), the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) fearful of that which they have earned, and it (Allâh’s Torment) will surely befall them. But those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous deeds (will be) in the flowering meadows of the Gardens (Paradise). They shall have whatsoever they desire with their Lord. That is the supreme Grace, (Paradise).

விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, நற்கருமங்களும் செய்த தன் அடியார்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் நன்மாராயங் கூறுவதும் அதுவே! (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக: “பந்துக்களில் நட்பைத் தவிர இதற்காக நான் யாதொரு கூலியையும் கேட்கவில்லை, எவர் ஒரு நன்மை செய்கிறாரோ அவருக்கு நாம் அதில் (மேலும்) நன்மையை அதிகப்படுத்துவோம், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், மிக்க மன்னிக்கிறவன், நன்றி பாராட்டுகிறவன்.

That is (the Paradise) whereof Allâh gives glad tidings to His slaves who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم): "No reward do I ask of you for this except to be kind to me for my kinship with you."¹ And whoever earns a good righteous deed, We shall give him an increase of good in respect thereof. Verily, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (the deeds of those who are obedient to Him).

1. i.e. I do not ask for any reward from you (in the form of wealth, money, etc.) for my preaching of Islamic Monotheism, but I only request you not to harm me for the kinship between you and me, as you are my tribesmen, and you have more right to obey me and follow me in my doctrine of Islamic Monotheism.

(நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது அவர் பொய்யைக் கற்பனை செய்(து கூறு)கிறார் என்று அவர்கள் (உம்மைப்பற்றிக்) கூறுகின்றார்களா? அல்லாஹ் நாடினால், உமது இதயத்தில் முத்திரையிட்டுவிடுவான், அல்லாஹ்வோ பொய்யை அழித்துவிடுகிறான், இன்னும், தன் வார்த்தைகளைக்கொண்டு உண்மையை நிலைநிறுத்துவான், நிச்சயமாக அவன், நெஞ்சங்களில் உள்ளவைகளை நன்கறிகிறவன்.

Or say they: "He has invented a lie against Allâh?" If Allâh willed, He could have sealed up your heart (so that you forget all that you know of the Qur’ân). And Allâh wipes out falsehood, and establishes the truth (Islâm) by His Word (this Qur’ân). Verily, He knows well what (secrets) are in the breasts (of mankind).

மேலும், அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், தன் அடியார்களின் தவ்பாவை (-பாவமீட்சியை) அவனே ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறான், தீயவைகளை மன்னித்தும் விடுகின்றான், நீங்கள் செய்பவகளையும் அவன் நன்கறிகிறான்.

And He it is Who accepts repentance from His slaves, and forgives sins, and He knows what you do.¹

   Narrated Shaddâd bin Aus رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, " The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: Allâhumma anta Rabbî, lâ ilâha illâ Anta. Anta khalaqtanî wa ana ‘abduka, wa ana ‘alâ ‘ahdika wa wa‘dika mastata‘tu. A‘ûdhu bika min sharri ma sana‘tu, Abû’u laka bi ni‘matika ‘alaiya, wa abû’u laka bi dhanbi faghfirlî fa innahu lâ yaghfiru dhdhunûba illâ Anta ’" * The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم added: "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.8, Hadîth No.318).

   * O Allah, You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise (to You) as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.

அன்றியும் விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, நற்கருமங்களும் செய்தோர் (களின் பிரார்த்தனை)களுக்கும் பதிலளித்து, தன்னுடைய பேரருளிலிருந்து (இன்னும்) அவர்களுக்கு அதிகப்படுத்துகின்றான், இன்னும் நிராகரிப்போர்-அவர்களுக்குக் கடினமான வேதனையுண்டு.

And He answers (the invocation of) those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and gives them increase of His Bounty. And as for the disbelievers, theirs will be a severe torment.

அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்களுக்கு (அவர்களின் தேவைக்குமேல்) உணவை (சம்பத்தை) விரிவாக்கி(க் கொடுத்து) விட்டால், அவர்கள் பூமியில் அட்டூழியம் செய்துவிடுவார்கள். எனினும், (அவர்களின் தேவைக்குத் தக்கவாறு) தான் நாடிய அளவைக்கொண்டு (வானத்திலிருந்து) இறக்கிவைக்கிறான், நிச்சயமாக அவன், தன் அடியார்களைப்பற்றி நன்கு உணர்பவன், (அவர்களுடைய செயலைப்) பார்க்கிறவன்.

And if Allâh were to enlarge the provision for His slaves, they would surely rebel in the earth, but He sends down by measure as He wills. Verily! He is, in respect of His slaves, the Well-Aware, the All-Seer (of things that benefit them).

இன்னும், அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், அவர்கள் நிராசையடைந்து விட்ட பின்னர், மழையை அவன் இறக்கிவைக்கின்றான், மேலும், தன்னுடைய அருளைப் பரப்புகிறான். அவனே புகழுக்குரிய பாதுகாவலன்.

And He it is Who sends down the rain after they have despaired, and spreads His Mercy. And He is the Walî (Helper, Supporter, Protector, Lord), Worthy of all Praise.

வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் படைத்திருப்பதும், ஊர்வனவற்றிலிருந்து அவை இரண்டிலும் பரவச் செய்திருப்பதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளவையாகும், இன்னும், அவன் நாடியபோது (அவை இறந்தபின்னர்) அவைகளை ஒன்று சேர்ப்பதின் மீது ஆற்றலுடையவன்

And among His Ayât (proofs, evidence, lessons, signs, etc.) is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and whatever moving (living) creatures He has dispersed in them both. And He is All-Potent over their assembling (i.e. resurrecting them on the Day of Resurrection after their death, and dispersion of their bodies) whenever He wills.

மேலும், துன்பத்தால் எது உங்களை வந்தடைந்தாலும், உங்கள் கரங்கள் சம்பாதித்துக் கொண்ட (காரணத்)தினாலாகும். (உங்களைப் பிடிக்க வேண்டியவற்றிலிருந்து) பெரும்பாலானவற்றை அவன் மன்னித்தும் விடுகிறான்.

And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Qur’ân Verse 35:45).

நீங்களோ பூமியில் (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய அவனை) இயலாமையில் ஆக்கிவிடுபவர்களல்லர், மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி உங்களுக்கு எந்த பாதுகாவலனும், உதவி புரிபவனும் இல்லை,.

And you cannot escape from Allâh (i.e. His punishment) in the earth, and besides Allâh you have neither any Walî (guardian or a protector, helper) nor any helper.

இன்னும், மலைகளைப்போன்று கடலில் செல்லும் கப்பல்களும், அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளவையாகும்.

And among His Signs are the ships in the sea like mountains.

அவன் நாடினால் காற்றை நிறுத்திவிடுவான், அப்போது அதன் மேல் பரப்பின் மீது (இருந்தவாறே அசைவற்று) நின்றவையாக அவை ஆகிவிடும், அதிகமாகப் பொறுமை கொள்வோர், நன்றி செலுத்துவோர் ஆகிய ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் நிச்சயமாக இதில் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

If He wills, He causes the wind to cease, then they would become motionless on the back (of the sea). Verily, in this are signs for everyone patient and grateful.

அல்லது அவர்கள் தேடிக் கொண்ட (தீ) வினையின் காரணமாக, அவைகளை(க் கடலில்) அவன் (மூழ்கடிக்கச் செய்து) அழித்துவிடுவான், (அவர்கள் செய்த பாவங்களில்) அனேகவற்றை அவன் மன்னித்தும் விடுகின்றான்.

Or He may destroy them (by shipwreck) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much.

மேலும், நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் தர்க்கம் செய்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர் (நம்முடைய பிடியிலிருந்து) தப்ப அவர்களுக்கு எந்த வழியுமில்லை என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்வார்கள்.

And those who dispute (polytheists with Our Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) as regards Our Ayât (proofs, signs, verses, etc. of Islâmic Monotheism) may know that there is no place of refuge for them (from Allâh’s punishment)¹ [Tafsir At-Tabari].

ஆகவே, எப்பொருளிலிருந்தும் நீங்கள் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருப்பது (நிலையற்ற) இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையின் (அற்ப) சுகங்களே! விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, தங்கள் இரட்சகனின் மீது (தங்கள் காரியங்களை ஒப்படைத்து முழுமையாக) நம்பிக்கை வைப்போருக்கு அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் உள்ளது மிக்க மேலானதும், மிக நிலையானதுமாகும்.

So whatever you have been given is but (a passing) enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allâh (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs).

மேலும், அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால் பெரும் பாவங்களையும், மானக்கேடான விஷயங்களையும் தவிர்த்துக்கொள்வர், இன்னும் அவர்களுக்குக் கோபம் ஏற்பட்டால் (பழி தீர்க்காது) மன்னித்து விடுவார்கள்.

And those who avoid the greater sins,¹ and Al-Fawâhish (illegal sexual intercourse), and when they are angry, forgive.²

இன்னும் அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், தங்கள் இரட்சகனின் கட்டளைகளை ஏற்று தொழுகையையும் நிறைவேற்றுவார்கள், (இத்தகையோர்) இவர்களின் காரியமோ தங்களுக்குள் கலந்தாலோசித்தலாக இருக்கும், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்தவற்றிலிருந்து (தர்மமாகச்) செலவும் செய்வார்கள்.

And those who answer the Call of their Lord [i.e. to believe that He is the only One Lord (Allâh), and to worship none but Him Alone], and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and who (conduct) their affairs by mutual consultation, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them.

இன்னும் அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், அவர்களுக்கு (மற்றவர்களால்) அக்கிரமம் ஏற்பட்டால், அதற்கு அவர்கள் (வரம்பு மீறாமல் தனக்கு அக்கிரமம் செய்தவர்களைத் தண்டிப்பதில்) உதவி பெறுவர்.

And those who, when an oppressive wrong is done to them, take revenge.

தீமைக்குக் கூலி (யாக) அதைப் போன்ற தீமையேயாகும், ஆனால் எவரேனும் (பிறரின் அக்கிரமத்தை) மன்னித்து (அவருடன்) சமாதானம் செய்து கொண்டால், அவருடைய கூலி அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது (கடமையாக) இருக்கின்றது, நிச்சயமாக, அவன் (இதற்கு மாறாக) அநியாயம் செய்வோர்களை நேசிக்கமாட்டான்.

The recompense for an evil is an evil like thereof; but whoever forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is with Allâh. Verily, He likes not the Zâlimûn (oppressors, polytheists, and wrong-doers).
