28. Al-Qasas

எனவே, அவனையும், அவனுடைய மாளிகையையும் பூமிக்குள் நாம் அழுந்தச் செய்தோம். அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி அவனுக்கு உதவி செய்யக்கூடிய எந்தக்கூட்டமும் இருக்கவில்லை, (தன்னிலிருந்தோ, மற்றவரிடமிருந்தோ) அவன் உதவி பெறுபவர்களிலும் இருக்கவில்லை.

So We caused the earth to swallow him¹ and his dwelling place. Then he had no group or party to help him against Allâh, nor was he one of those who could save themselves.

   Chapter 5. Whoever drags his garment out of pride and arrogance (conceit).

   a) Narrated Abû Hurairahرضي الله عنه : Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Allâh will not look, on the Day of Resurrection, at a person who drags his Izâr* (behind him) out of pride and arrogance." [See the footnote of (V.22:9)]

   b) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم (or Abul-Qasim صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, "While a man was walking, clad in a two-piece garment and proud of himself with his hair well-combed, suddenly Allâh made him sink into the earth and he will go on sinking into it till the Day of Resurrection."

   c) Narrated ‘Abdullâh (bin ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما): Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, ‘While a man was dragging his Izâr* on the ground (behind him), suddenly Allâh made him sink into the earth and he will go on sinking into it till the Day of Resurrection." (அவனும், அவனுடைய மாளிகையும், பூமியில் அழுத்தப்பட்டதைக் கண்டு) நேற்றையதினம் அவனுடைய பதவியை விரும்பியவர்கள், அந்தோ நாசமே! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்களில், தான் நாடிவருக்கு சம்பத்துகளை ஏராளமாகக் கொடுக்கின்றான், (தான் நாடியவருக்கு) அளவோடும் கொடுக்கின்றான், அல்லாஹ் நம்மீது பேருபகாரம் செய்திருக்காவிட்டால் நிச்சயமாக நம்மையும் (பூமிக்குள்) அழுந்தச் செய்திருப்பான் என்பதைப் பார்க்கவில்லையா? அந்தோ நாசமே! நிச்சயமாக (அல்லாஹ்வின் நன்றியை) மறுப்போர் வெற்றியடையவே மாட்டார்கள்” என்பதைக் காணவில்லையா? என்று கூறியவர்களாக காலைப்பொழுதை அடைந்தார்கள்.

And those who had desired (for a position like) his position the day before, began to say: "Know you not that it is Allâh Who enlarges the provision or restricts it to whomsoever He pleases of His slaves. Had it not been that Allâh was Gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up (also)! Know you not that the disbelievers will never be successful.

மறுமையின் அந்த வீடாகிறது- அதை பூமியில் அகம்பாவத்தையும், குழப்பத்தையும் நாடாதவர்களுக்கே அதை நாம் (சொந்தமாக) ஆக்கிவிடுவோம், இன்னும் (நல்ல) முடிவு பயபக்தியுடையவர்களுக்குத்தான்.

That home of the Hereafter (i.e. Paradise), We shall assign to those who rebel not against the truth with pride¹ and oppression in the land nor do mischief by committing crimes. And the good end is for the Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2).

யார் நன்மையைக் கொண்டுவந்தாரோ அவருக்கு அதைவிடச் சிறந்தது (கூலியாக) உண்டு, இன்னும் யார் தீமையைக் கொண்டுவந்தாரோ (அப்போது) தீமையைச் செய்தோர் அவர்கள் எதைச் செய்துகொண்டிருந்தார்களோ அதையல்லாது (வேறுஎதையும்) கூலியாகக் கொடுக்கப்படமாட்டார்கள்.

Whosoever brings good (Islâmic Monotheism along with righteous deeds), he shall have the better thereof; and whosoever brings evil (polytheism along with evil deeds), then those who do evil deeds will only be requited for what they used to do.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக உம்மீது இந்தக்குர் ஆனை விதியாக்கி (இறக்கி)யவன் உம்மை மீளுமிடத்தின் பால் (மக்காவின் பக்கம்) திரும்பச் சேர்த்து வைப்பவனாவான். (ஆகவே, நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக: “நேரான வழியைக் கொண்டு வந்திருப்பவர் யார்? (அதனை மறுத்து) பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டில் இருப்பவர் யார்? என்பதை என் இரட்சகன் மிக அறிந்தவன்.

Verily, He Who has given you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) the Qur’an (i.e. ordered you to act on its laws and to preach it to others) will surely bring you back to Ma‘âd (place of return, either to Makkah or to Paradise after your death). Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "My Lord is Aware of him who brings guidance, and of him who is in manifest error."

அன்றியும், (நபியே!) இவ்வேதம் உமக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும் என்று நீர் எதிர்பார்த்து இருக்கவில்லை, எனினும் உம்முடைய இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து அருளாகவே (நீர் அதைக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டீர்), ஆகவே, நிராகரிப்போருக்கு உதவியாளராக திண்ணமாக நீர் ஆகிவிடவேண்டாம்.

And you were not expecting that the Book (this Qur’ân) would be sent down to you, but it is a mercy from your Lord. So never be a supporter of the disbelievers.

இன்னும், அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்கள் உம்பால் இறக்கிவைக்கபட்டதன் பின்னர் நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (அவற்றை எத்திவைப்பதிலிருந்து) உம்மைத் தடுத்துவிடவேண்டாம், இன்னும் உமதிரட்சகன் பக்கம் நீர் (அவர்களை) அழைப்பீராக! நிச்சயமாக நீர் இணைவைப்போரில் ஆகிவிடவேண்டாம்.

And let them not turn you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) away from (preaching) the Ayât (revelations and verses) of Allâh after they have been sent down to you: and invite (men) to (believe in) your Lord¹ and be not of Al-Mushrikûn (those who associate partners with Allâh, e.g. polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allâh and deny the Prophethood of Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم).

1. i.e: in the Oneness (Tauhîd ) of Allâh - (1) Oneness of the Lordship of Allâh; (2) Oneness of the worship of Allâh; (3) Oneness of the Names and Qualities of Allâh.

மேலும், (நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறொரு (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய) நாயனை நீர் அழைக்கவேண்டாம், அவனைத் தவிர (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய) வேறொரு நாயன் இல்லை, அவன் முகம் தவிர ஒவ்வொரு பொருளும் அழிந்துவிடக்கூடியதே. அதிகாரம் (அனைத்தும்) அவனுக்கே உரியதாகும், அவனிடமே நீங்கள் (யாவரும்) திரும்பக் கொண்டுவரப்படுவீர்கள்.

And invoke not any other ilâh (god) along with Allâh: Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Everything will perish save His Face. His is the Decision, and to Him you (all) shall be returned.
