(மலக்குகளை வணங்கி வந்த) அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் அவன் (-அல்லாஹ்) ஒன்றுதிரட்டும் நாளை (நினைவு கூறுங்கள்). பின்னர் மலக்குகளிடம், இவர்கள்தானா உங்களை வணங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள்? என்று அவன் கேட்பான்.

And (remember) the Day when He will gather them all together, then He will say to the angels: "Was it you that these people used to worship?"

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “(எங்கள் இரட்சகனே!) நீ மிகப் பரிசுத்தமானவன், அவர்களன்றி நீதான் எங்கள் பாதுகாவலன், எனினும் அவர்கள் ஜின்களை வணங்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தனர், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் அவர்களை(-அந்த ஜின்களை) விசுவாசித்துமிருந்தவர்கள்” என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

They (the angels) will say: "Glorified be You! You are our Walî (Lord) instead of them. Nay, but they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them."

“எனவே, இந்நாளில் உங்களில் சிலர் (மற்ற) சிலருக்கு நன்மையோ, தீமையோ செய்ய அதிகாரம் பெற மாட்டார்கள்; (இம்மையில்) அநியாயம் செய்தார்களே அவர்களுக்கு “நீங்கள் எதைப் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களோ அத்தகைய (நரக) நெருப்பின் வேதனையைச் சுவைத்துப் பாருங்கள்” என்றும் நாம் கூறுவோம்.

So Today (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), none of you can profit or harm one another. And We shall say to those who did wrong [i.e. worshipped others (like the angels, jinn, prophets, saints, righteous persons) along with Allâh]: "Taste the torment of the Fire which you used to belie.¹

   Almighty Allâh says: "They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords (by obeying them in things that they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allâh) besides Allâh, and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] to worship none but one llâh (God - Allâh), Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). Praise and Glory is to Him, (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)." [The Qur’ân, Verse 9:31]

   Once, while Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم was reciting the above Verse, ‘Adi bin Hâtim said, "O Allâh’s Prophet! They do not worship them (rabbis and monks)." Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "They certainly do. They (i.e. rabbis and monks) made legal things illegal, and illegal things legal, and they (i.e. Jews and Christians) followed them, and by doing so they really worshipped them." இன்னும் தெளிவான நம்முடைய வசனங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டால், “உங்கள் மூதாதையர்கள் வணங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தவைகளை விட்டும், உங்களைத் தடுத்துவிட நாடுகின்ற ஒரு மனிதரேயன்றி இவர் (வேறு) இல்லை” என்று அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர், மேலும், அவர்கள், (அவர் கூறுகிற) “இது இட்டுகட்டப்பட்ட பொய்யேயன்றி வேறில்லை” என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர், மேலும், (திருக்குர் ஆனாகிய இந்த) உண்மை-அவர்களிடம் வந்த சமயத்தில், ‘இது பகிரங்கமான சூனியமேயன்றி (வேறு) இல்லை” என்றும் நிராகரிப்போர் கூறுகின்றனர்.

And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, they say: "This (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is naught but a man who wishes to hinder you from that which your fathers used to worship." And they say: "This (the Qur’ân) is nothing but an invented lie." And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them (i.e. Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم when Allâh sent him as a Messenger with proofs, evidence, verses of this Qur’ân, lessons, signs, etc.): "This is nothing but evident magic!"

(நபியே!) இவர்களுக்கு, (இதற்கு முன்னர்) வேதங்களிலிருந்து எதையும்- அதனை அவர்கள் ஓதுவதற்காக நாம் கொடுக்கவுமில்லை, அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்ககூடிய எவரையும் உமக்கு முன்னர் நாம் அவர்களின்பால் அனுப்பவுமில்லை.

And We had not given them Scriptures which they could study, nor sent to them before you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) any warner (Messenger).

இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களும் (நம்முடைய தூதர்களைப்) பொய்யாக்கினார்கள். இன்னும் அவர்களுக்கும் நாம் கொடுத்திருந்ததில், பத்தில் ஒரு பாகத்தையேனும் இவர்கள் அடைந்துவிடவில்லை. பின்னர் அவர்கள் என்னுடைய தூதர்களை (நிராகரித்து)ப் பொய்ப்படுத்தினார்கள், ஆகவே, (என்னை மறுத்ததன் காரணமாக தண்டனையைக் கொண்டும், வேதனையைக் கொண்டும் பிடித்த என்னுடைய) மறுப்பு எவ்வாறிருந்தது?

And those before them belied; these have not received even a tenth of what We had granted to those (of old); yet they belied My Messengers. Then how (terrible) was My denial (punishment)!

“நான் உங்களுக்கு உபதேசிப்பதெல்லாம் ஒரே ஒரு விஷயத்தைப் பற்றிதான், நீங்கள் இரண்டிரண்டு பேர்களாகவோ, தனித்தனியாகவோ, அல்லாஹ்வுக்காகச் சிறிது எழுந்து (நின்று), பின்னர் (உங்களுக்குள்) சிந்தித்துப்பாருங்கள்” என்று (நபியே! நீர்) கூறுவீராக! “உங்களுடைய சிநேகிதர் (ஆகிய என)க்கு எத்தகைய பைத்தியமுமில்லை, கடினமான வேதனை வருவதற்கு முன்னர் அவர் உங்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறவரே தவிர வேறில்லை” (என்பதை தெளிவாக உணர்வீர்கள்).

Say (to them O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I exhort you to one (thing) only: that you stand up for Allâh’s sake in pairs and singly, and reflect (within yourselves the life history of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم): there is no madness in your companion (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). He is only a warner to you in face of a severe torment."

(நபியே! மேலும்) நீர் கூறுவீராக: “நான் உங்களிடம் எவ்விதக் கூலியையும் கேட்கவில்லை, அவ்வாறாயின் அது உங்களுக்கே உரியது, என்னுடைய கூலி அல்லாஹ்விடமேயன்றி (உங்களிடம்) இல்லை- அவனோ ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் சாட்சியாக இருக்கிறான்.”

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Whatever wage I might have asked of you is yours. My wage is from Allâh only, and He is a Witness over all things."

(மேலும்) நீர் கூறுவீராக, “நிச்சயமாக எனது இரட்சகன் உண்மையைப் போடுகின்றான், (அது பொய்யை அழித்து மேலோங்கி விடுகிறது) மறைவானவற்றை (அவன்) மிக அறிந்தவன்.”

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Verily my Lord sends down (Revelation and makes apparent) the truth (i.e. this Revelation that had come to me), the All-Knower of the Ghaib (Unseen).
