ஆகவே, அவர்கள் தங்கள் உடன்படிக்கையை முறித்ததன் காரணமாகவும் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களை அவர்கள் நிராகரித்ததாலும் நியாயமின்றி நபிமார்களைக் கொலை செய்ததாலும் இன்னும் ‘எங்களுடைய இதயங்கள் திரையிடப் பட்டுவிட்டன” என்று அவர்கள் கூறியதாலும் (அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை சபித்து விட்டான், அதுமட்டும்) அல்ல, அவர்களுடைய நிராகரிப்பின் காரணமாக அவற்றின் மீது அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிட்டு விட்டான், ஆதலால் (அவர்கள்) குறைவாகவேயன்றி விசுவாசங்கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்.

Because of their breaking the covenant, and of their rejecting the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, and of their killing the Prophets unjustly, and of their saying: "Our hearts are wrapped (with coverings, i.e. we do not understand what the Messengers say)" - nay, Allâh has set a seal upon their hearts because of their disbelief, so they believe not but a little.

இன்னும், அவர்களின் நிராகரிப்பின் காரணமாகவும், மர்யமின் மீது மாபெரும் அவதூரை அவர்கள் கூறியதாலும் (அவர்களை அல்லாஹ் சபித்து விட்டான்.)

And because of their (Jews) disbelief and uttering against Maryam (Mary السلام عليهما) a grave false charge (that she has committed illegal sexual intercourse);

இன்னும், “அல்லாஹ்வுடைய தூதர் மர்யமுடைய மகன் ஈஸா மஸீஹை நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் கொலை செய்து விட்டோம்” என்று அவர்கள் கூறியதன் காரணமாகவும் (அவர்களை அல்லாஹ் சபித்துவிட்டான்), அவரை அவர்கள் கொல்லவுமில்லை, அவரை அவர்கள் சிலுவையில் அறையவுமில்லை. எனினும், அவர்களுக்கு (ஈஸாவின் தோற்றத்தைப் பெற்ற) ஒருவனை ஒப்பாக்கிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டது, இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக இவ்விஷயத்தில் கருத்துவேறுபாடு கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோர், அதுபற்றி சந்தேகத்திலேயே உள்ளனர், வெறும் யூகத்தைப் பின்பற்றுவதைத்தவிர, அதில் அவர்களுக்கு உண்மையான அறிவு (ஆதாரம்) கிடையாது, மேலும், உறுதியாக அவர்கள் அவரை கொலை செய்யவே இல்லை.

And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah ‘Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allâh," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but it appeared so to them [the resemblance of ‘Îsâ (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man)], and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. ‘Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) عليهما السلام]:

மாறாக, அல்லாஹ் அவரைத் தன் அளவில் உயர்த்திக்கொண்டான், இன்னும் அல்லாஹ் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனாக, தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

But Allâh raised him [‘Îsâ (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he عليه السلام is in the heavens). And Allâh is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.

வேதத்தையுடையவர்களிலிருந்து எவரும் அவர் இறப்பதற்கு முன்னதாக திட்டமாக அவரை விசுவாசிக்காமல் இருப்பதில்லை, இன்னும், மறுமைநாளில் அவர்களுக்கு அவர் பாதகமான சாட்சியாளராக இருப்பார்.

And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) but must believe in him [‘Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allâh and a human being]¹ before his [‘Îsâ (Jesus) عليه السلام) or a Jew’s or a Christian’s] death² (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he [‘Îsâ (Jesus)] will be a witness against them.

2. - "Before his death," has two interpretations: before Jesus’ death after his descent from the heavens, or a Jew’s or a Christian’s death, at the time of the appearance of the Angel of Death when he will realize that ‘Îsâ (Jesus) was only a Messenger of Allâh, and had no share in Divinity.

ஆகவே, யூதர்களாக இருந்த அவர்களின் அநியாயத்தின் காரணமாகவும், இன்னும் அவர்கள் அநேகரை அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையைவிட்டும் (அதில் செல்லவிடாது) தடுத்துக் கொண்டதன் காரணமாகவும் அவர்களுக்கு (முன்னர்) அனுமதிக்கப் பட்டவைகளில் நல்லவைகளை நாம் அவர்களுக்குத் தடுத்து (ஹராமாக்கி) விட்டோம்.

For the wrong-doing of the Jews, We made unlawful for them certain good foods which had been lawful for them - and for their hindering many from Allâh’s Way;

வட்டியை அதைவிட்டும் அவர்கள் தடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களாக இருந்தும் (அதனை) வாங்கி வந்ததன் காரணமாகவும், மனிதர்களின் செல்வங்களை அவர்கள் நியாயமின்றி உண்டு வந்ததன் காரணமாகவும், அவர்களில், (இத்தகைய) நிராகரிப்போருக்குத் துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனையை நாம் தயார் செய்தும் வைத்திருக்கிறோம்.

And their taking of Ribâ (usury) though they were forbidden from taking it and their devouring of men’s substance wrongfully (bribery). And We have prepared for the disbelievers among them a painful torment.

எனினும், (நபியே!) அவர்களில் கல்வியில் உறுதியுடையோரும் இன்னும் விசுவாசிகளும் உம்மீது இறக்கிவைக்கப்பட்டதையும், உமக்கு முன்னர் இறக்கி வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தவற்றையும் விசுவாசிக்கிறார்கள், இன்னும் (அவர்கள்) தொழுகையை (முறையாக) நிறைவேற்றுபவர்களாகவும், ஜகாத்தை கொடுப்பவர்களாகவும், அல்லாஹ்வையும், இறுதிநாளையும் விசுவாசிப்பவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறார்கள், அத்தகையோருக்கு மறுமையில் மகத்தான நற்கூலியை நாம் கொடுப்போம்.

But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what has been sent down to you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) and what was sent down before you; and those who perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât ), and give Zakât and believe in Allâh and in the Last Day, it is they to whom We shall give a great reward.
