يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَرِثُوا۟ ٱلنِّسَآءَ كَرْهًا ۖ وَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُوا۟ بِبَعْضِ مَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلَّآ أَن يَأْتِينَ بِفَـٰحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ ۚ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكْرَهُوا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَيَجْعَلَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا
விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! பெண்களை (இறந்தவருடைய சொத்தாக மதித்து அவர்களைப்) பலவந்தமாக நீங்கள் அனந்தரம் கொள்வது உங்களுக்கு ஆகுமானதல்ல, இன்னும், பகிரங்கமாக யாதொரு மானக்கேடான காரியத்தை அவர்கள் செய்தாலன்றி (உங்கள்) பெண்களுக்கு நீங்கள் கொடுத்ததில் சிலவற்றை (எடுத்துக்)கொண்டு போவதற்காக அவர்களை நீங்கள் தடுத்தும் வைக்காதீர்கள், மேலும், அவர்களுடன் அழகான முறையிலும் நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், அவர்களை நீங்கள் வெறுத்துவிடுவீர்களானால் - நீங்கள் ஒன்றை வெறுக்கக்கூடும், (அவ்வாறு வெறுக்கக்கூடிய) அதில் அல்லாஹ் அநேக நன்மைகளை ஆக்கக்கூடும்.
மொழிபெயர்ப்பு: மன்னர் ஃபஹத் குர்ஆன் அச்சக வளாகம்
O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will; and you should not treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the Mahr 1 you have given them, unless they commit open illegal sexual intercourse; and live with them honourably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allâh brings through it a great deal of good.
Mahr: Bridal-money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage.
