அலிஃப் லாம் மீம் றா. இவை இவ்வேதத்தின் வசனங்களாகும், (நபியே!) உம்முடைய இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து உம்பால் இறக்கிவைக்கப்பட்ட இது (முற்றிலும்) உண்மையானதாகும், எனினும் மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (இதனை) நம்புவதில்லை.
Alif-Lâm-Mîm-Râ. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’an; and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].These are the Verses of the Book (the Qur’an), and that which has been revealed unto you (Muhammad ﷺ) from your Lord is the truth, out most men believe not.
(இவ்வேதத்தை உமக்கு இறக்கிவைத்த) அல்லாஹ் எத்தகையவனென்றால், வானங்களைத் தூணின்றி உயர்த்தியுள்ளான், அவற்றை நீங்கள் (உங்கள் கண்களால்) காண்கிறீர்கள், பின்னர், (தன் கண்ணியத்திற்குத் தக்கவாறும், மகத்துவத்திற்குரியவாறும் அர்ஷின் மீதிருப்பது அவனுக்கு எவ்வாறு தகுமோ அவ்வாறே) அவன் அர்ஷின் மீது உயர்ந்து (நிலைபெற்று) விட்டான், அவனே சூரியனையும், சந்திரனையும் (தன்) அதிகாரத்திற்குள் (வசப்படுத்தி) வைத்திருக்கிறான், (இவை) ஒவ்வொன்றும் (அவற்றிற்குக்) குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட தவணையின்படி நடந்து வருகின்றன, (அவற்றில் நடைபெறும்) சகல காரியங்களையும் அவனே நிர்வகிக்கிறான், நீங்கள் (இறந்த பின்னர் உயிர் பெற்று) உங்கள் இரட்சகனைச் சந்திப்பதை உறுதி கொள்வதற்காக (த் தன்னுடைய) வசனங்களை (இவ்வாறு உங்களுக்கு) விவரிக்கிறான்.
Allâh is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you can see. Then, He rose above (Istawâ) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty). He has subjected the sun and the moon (to continue going round), each running (its course) for a term appointed. He manages and regulates all affairs; He explains the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail, that you may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord.
மேலும், அவன் எத்தகையோனென்றால், பூமியை விரித்து, அதில் உறுதியான (பெரிய பெரிய) மலைகளையும்,( நீண்ட) ஆறுகளையும் அவன் ஆக்கினான், ஒவ்வொரு கனிவர்க்கத்திலிருந்தும் (இருவகை கொண்ட) ஜோடிகள் இரண்டை அவன் உண்டாக்கினான், இரவைப் பகலால் அவன் மூடுகிறான், சிந்திக்கக் கூடிய கூட்டத்தினருக்கு நிச்சயமாக இதில் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.
And it is He Who spread out the earth, and placed therein firm mountains and rivers and of every kind of fruits He made Zawjain Ithnaîn (two in pairs - may mean two kinds or it may mean: of two varieties, e.g. black and white, sweet and sour, small and big). He brings the night as a cover over the day. Verily, in these things, there are Ayât (proofs, evidence, lessons, signs, etc.) for people who reflect.
மேலும், பூமியில் அடுத்தடுத்த பலபகுதிகள் உண்டு, இன்னும், (அதில்) திராட்சைத் தோட்டங்களும், விவசாயப் பயிர் நிலங்களும், கிளைகள் உள்ளவையும், கிளைகள் இல்லாதவையுமான பேரீச்ச மரங்களும் உள்ளன, (அவைகளுக்கு) ஒரே வித நீர் புகட்டப்படுகிறது, (அவ்வாறிருக்க) சிலவற்றை, சிலவற்றைவிடச் சுவையில் நாம் மேன்மையாக்கியும் வைத்திருக்கிறோம், இதில், சிந்தித்து அறியும் மக்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாகப் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.
And in the earth are neighbouring tracts, and gardens of vines, and green crops (fields), and date-palms, growing into two or three from a single stem root, or otherwise (one stem root for every palm), watered with the same water; yet some of them We make more excellent than others to eat. Verily, in these things there are Ayât (proofs, evidence, lessons, signs) for the people who understand.
இன்னும், (நபியே! இந்நிராகரிப்போர் மறுமையைப் பொய்யாக்குவது பற்றி) நீர் ஆச்சரியப்படுவதாயின், நிச்சயமாக நாம் (இறந்து உக்கி) மண்ணாக ஆகி விட்டாலுமா? புதியதொரு படைப்பில் நிச்சயமாக நாம் இருப்போம்? என்று அவர்கள் கூறுவது (இதனை விட மிக்க) ஆச்சரியமானதே! அத்தகையோர்தான் - அவர்கள் தங்களின் இரட்சகனை நிராகரித்து விட்டவர்களாவர், மேலும் அத்தகையோர் - (மறுமையில்) விலங்குகள் அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துக்களில் இருக்கும், இன்னும், அவர்கள் நரகவாசிகளே! அதில் நிரந்தரமாக (த்தங்கி) இருப்பவர்கள்.
And if you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) wonder (at these polytheists who deny your message of Islâmic Monotheism and have taken besides Allâh others for worship who can neither harm nor benefit), then wondrous is their saying: "When we are dust, shall we indeed then be (raised) in a new creation?" They are those who disbelieved in their Lord! They are those who will have iron chains tying their hands to their necks. They will be the dwellers of the Fire to abide therein.
மேலும், (நபியே!) நன்மைக்கு முன்னதாகவே தீமையைக் கொண்டு (வருமாறு) இவர்கள் உம்மிடம் அவசரப்படுகின்றனர், இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் நிச்சயமாக (தண்டனை கொடுக்கப்பட்ட) முன்மாதிரியானவைகள் நிகழ்ந்தும் இருக்கின்றன, மேலும், நிச்சயமாக உமதிரட்சகன், மனிதர்களுக்கு அவர்களின் அக்கிரமங்களுக்காக மன்னிப்பை உடையவன், (அவ்வாறே) நிச்சயமாக உமதிரட்சகன் தண்டிப்பதிலும் மிகக் கடுமையானவன்.
They ask you to hasten the evil before the good, while (many) exemplary punishments have indeed occurred before them. But verily, your Lord is full of Forgiveness for mankind in spite of their wrong-doing. And verily, your Lord is (also) Severe in punishment.
மேலும், (நபியே!) நிராகரிப்போர் (உம்மைப் பற்றி) “இவர் மீது இவருடைய இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து (நாம் விரும்புகிறவாறு) ஓர் அத்தாட்சி இறக்கப்பட வேண்டாமா?” என்று கூறுகின்றனர், (நபியே)! நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறவரே (ஆவீர்.,) மேலும், ஒவ்வொரு சமூகத்தவர்க்கும் ஒரு நேர்வழி காட்டியுண்டு.
And the disbelievers say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" You are only a warner, and to every people there is a guide.
ஓவ்வொரு பெண்ணும் கர்ப்பம் தரிப்பதையும், கர்ப்பப் பைகள் (கர்ப்பம் தரித்த பின் சிசு ஒன்பது மாதம் நிறைவு பெற்று) அவை அதிகமாவதையும் அல்லாஹ் (நன்கு) அறிவான், ஒவ்வொரு பொருளும் அவனிடம் (அவன் ஏற்படுத்திய) அளவைக் கொண்டே இருக்கிறது.
Allâh knows what every female bears, and by how much the wombs fall short (of their time or number) or exceed. Everything with Him is in (due) proportion.
உங்களில், கூற்றை மெதுவாகக் கூறியவரும், அதை உரக்கக் கூறியவரும், எவர் இரவில் மறைந்து கொள்கிறாரோ அவரும், பகலில் வெளிப்படையாக நடப்பவரும் (இவர்கள் யாவரும் அல்லாஹ்விடம்) சமமே.
It is the same (to Him) whether any of you conceal his speech or declares it openly, whether he be hid by night or goes forth freely by day.
(மனிதர்களில் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும்) அவருக்கு முன்னும், அவருக்கு பின்னும் தொடர்ந்து வரக்கூடிய (மலக்குகள்) பலர் இருக்கின்றனர், அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளையைக் கொண்டு அவரைப் பாதுகாக்கின்றார்கள், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் எந்த ஒரு சமுதாயத்திற்குரியதையும் அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குரிய (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துதல், அவனுக்குக் கீழ்படிந்து நடத்தல் போன்ற நிலைகளான)தை மாற்றிக் கொள்ளாத வரையில், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வும் (அவர்களுக்குப் புரிந்த அருளை) மாற்றிவிடுவதில்லை, மேலும், அல்லாஹ் ஒரு சமூகத்தினருக்கு தீங்கிழைக்க நாடினால், அதனைத் தடுப்போர் ஒருவருமில்லை, அவர்களுக்கு அவனையன்றி உதவி செய்பவருமில்லை.
For him (each person), there are angels in succession, before and behind him.1 They guard him by the Command of Allâh. Verily! Allâh will not change the (good) condition of a people as long as they do not change their state (of goodness) themselves (by committing sins and by being ungrateful and disobedient to Allâh). But when Allâh wills a people’s punishment, there can be no turning back of it, and they will find besides Him no protector.
அவன் எத்தகையோனென்றால், (உங்களில் பிரயாணம் செய்பவருக்கு பயமாகவும், (ஊரில் தங்கியிருப்பவருக்கு) ஆதரவாகவும் மின்னலை உங்களுக்கு அவன் காட்டுகிறான், (மழையைச் சுமந்த) பளுவான மேகங்களையும் அவனே உருவாக்குகிறான்.
It is He Who shows you the lightning, as a fear (for travellers) and as a hope (for those who wait for rain). And it is He Who brings up (or originates) the clouds, heavy (with water).
இடியும் அவனது புகழைக்கொண்டு துதிக்கிறது (அவ்வாறே) அவனின் பயத்தால் மலக்குகளும்- (அவனைத் துதி செய்கின்றனர்.) அவனே இடிகளையும் அனுப்புகிறான், (பின்னர்) அவன் நாடியவர்களை அதைக் கொண்டு அவன் (தாக்கிப்) பிடிக்கச் செய்கிறான், அவர்களோ அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றி (உம்மிடம்) தர்க்கம் செய்கின்றனர், மேலும், (அவர்களை தண்டிக்க நாடினால், அவர்களை நழுவாது பிடிப்பதில்) அவன் பலமிக்கவன்.
And Ar-Ra‘d1 (thunder) glorifies and praises Him, and so do the angels because of His Awe. He sends the thunderbolts, and therewith He strikes whom He wills, yet they (disbelievers) dispute about Allâh. And He is Mighty in strength and Severe in punishment.
Ar-Ra‘d: It is said that he is the angel in charge of clouds and he drives them as ordered by Allâh, and he glorifies His Praises. (Tafsîr Al-Qurtubî)
“உண்மையான அழைப்பு (பிரார்த்தனை) அவனுக்கே உரியதாகும், அவனையன்றி (மற்ற பொய்யான தெய்வங்களைப் பிரார்த்தனை செய்து அழைக்கிறார்களே அத்தகையவர்கள்-அவர்களுக்கு, யாதொரு விடையும் (அழைக்கப்பட்ட) அவர்கள் அளிக்கமாட்டார்கள், (அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி பிறவற்றை அழைப்போரின் உதாரணம்:,) தண்ணீரின்பால் அது (தானாகவே) தன் வாயில் சென்றுவிட வேண்டுமென்று கருதி, தன் இரு முன் கைகளையும் (நீட்டி அள்ளிக்குடிக்காமல்) விரித்துக் கொண்டே இருப்பவனைப் போல் அல்லாமல் (வேறில்லை, அள்ளிக் குடிக்கும் வரையில், அவனுடைய) வாயை அது அடைந்தும் விடாது, மேலும் நிராகரிப்போர் செய்யும் பிரார்த்தனை (இத்தகைய) வழிகேட்டிலல்லாது இல்லை.
For Him (Allah, Alone) is the Word of Truth (i.e. none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). And those whom they (polytheists and disbelievers) invoke, answer them no more than one who stretches forth his hand (at the edge of a deep well) for water to reach his mouth, but it reaches him not; and the invocation of the disbelievers is nothing but an error (i.e. of no use).
வானங்களில் மற்றும் பூமியில் இருப்பவை (யாவும் அவன்) விருப்பத்துடனும் வெறுப்புடனும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே சிரம் பணிகின்றன, அவற்றின் நிழல்களும் காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் (அவனுடைய கட்டளைக்குப் பணிந்து சாஷ்டாங்கம் செய்கின்றன).
And unto Allâh (Alone) falls in prostration whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and so do their shadows in the mornings and in the afternoons.
(நபியே! அவர்களிடம்,) “வானங்கள் மற்றும் பூமியின் இரட்சகன் (ரப்பு) யார்?” என்று நீர் கேட்பீராக! (அவர்களிடம்) “அல்லாஹ்தான்” என்று நீர் கூறுவீராக! (அவ்வாறிருக்க) அவனையன்றி பாதுகாவலர்களாக பொய்யான தெய்வங்களை நீங்கள் எடுத்துக் கொண்டுவிட்டீர்களா? (அவர்களோ) தங்களுக்கே யாதொரு நன்மையும் தீமையும் செய்யச் சக்தியற்றவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர்” என்று கூறுவீராக! (பின்னும் அவர்களிடம்) “குருடரும், பார்வையுடையவரும் சமமாவாரா? அல்லது இருள்களும், பிரகாசமும் சமமாகுமா?” என்று கேட்பீராக! அல்லது அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுககு இணையாளர்களை ஆக்கியிருக்கின்றனரே அவர்கள் அவன் படைத்திருப்பதைப் போன்று (எதனையும்) படைத்திருக்கின்றனரா?” அவ்வாறாயின் அப்படைப்பு இவர்களுக்கு (அல்லாஹ் படைத்ததற்கு) ஒப்பாகி விட்டதா) அவ்வாறுமில்லையே! ஆகவே, அவர்களிடம் அல்லாஹ்தான்” ஒவ்வொரு பொருளையும் படைக்கிறவன், மேலும், அவன் ஒருவன், (அவனே யாவற்றையும்) அடக்கி ஆளுபவனாவான்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!
Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم): "Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allâh." Say: "Have you then taken (for worship) Auliyâ’ (protectors) other than Him, such as have no power either for benefit or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Is the blind equal to the one who sees? Or darkness equal to light? Or do they assign to Allâh partners who created the like of His creation, so that the creation (which they made and His creation) seemed alike to them?" Say: "Allâh is the Creator of all things; and He is the One, the Irresistible."
“வானத்திலிருந்து நீரை அவன் இறக்கினான், பின், ஓடைகள் தம் அளவுக்குத் தக்கவாறு (நீரைக் கொண்டு) ஓடின, பிறகு, வெள்ளம் (நீருக்கு மேல் மிதக்கும்) நுரையை மேலே சுமந்து சென்றது, (இது போன்றே) ஆபரணங்களையோ அல்லது (வேறு) சாமான்களையோ செய்வதற்காக நெருப்பில் அவர்கள் (உலோகங்களை) உருக்குவதிலிருந்தும், அது போன்ற நுரை உண்டாகின்றது, இவ்வாறே சத்தியத்தையும், அசத்தியத்தையும் அல்லாஹ் உதாரணமாகக் கூறுகின்றான், எனவே, (அழுக்கு) நுரையோ வீணாகிப் போய்விடுகிறது, (ஆனால்,) மனிதர்களுக்குப் பலன் அளிக்கக்கூடியதோ பூமியில் தங்கி விடுகிறது” இவ்வாறே நிராகரிப்போரை அழுக்கு நுரைக்கும், விசுவாசிகளைப் பூமியில் பயன்தரும் பொருட்களுக்கும் ஒப்பிட்டு) அல்லாஹ் உவமைகளை விவரிக்கின்றான்.
He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and the valleys flow according to their measure, but the flood bears away the foam that mounts up to the surface - and (also) from that (ore) which they heat in the fire in order to make ornaments or utensils, rises a foam like unto it, thus does Allâh (by parables) show forth truth and falsehood1. Then, as for the foam it passes away as scum upon the banks, while that which is for the good of mankind remains in the earth. Thus Allâh sets forth parables (for the truth and falsehood, i.e. Belief and disbelief).
தங்கள் இரட்சகனுக்கு (அவனுடைய கட்டளைகளை ஏற்று) பதில் கூறினார்களே, அத்தகையவர்களுக்கு (மறுமையில் அழகான நற்கூலிகள் எனும்) நன்மையுண்டு; இன்னும், அவனுக்கு (அவன் கட்டளையை ஏற்று) பதில் கூறவில்லையே அத்தகையவர்கள் - நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுக்கு பூமியில் உள்ள அனைத்தும், அத்துடன் அது போன்றதும் இருந்தால் (அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கக் கூடிய வேதனையிலிருந்து விடுவித்துக் கொள்ள) அவற்றை ஈடாகக் கொடுத்து விடுவார்கள், (எனினும், அது ஆகாத காரியம்! அன்றியும்) அத்தகையோர்-அவர்களுக்கு (மிக்க) கொடிய (கேள்வி)கணக்குண்டு, இன்னும், அவர்கள் தங்குமிடம் நரகமாகும், தங்குமிடத்திலும்(அது) மிகக் கெட்டது.
For those who answered their Lord’s Call [believed in the Oneness of Allâh and followed His Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم i.e. Islâmic Monotheism] is Al-Husnâ (i.e. Paradise). But those who answered not His Call (disbelieved in the Oneness of Allâh and followed not His Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), if they had all that is in the earth together with its like, they would offer it in order to save themselves (from the torment, but it will be in vain). For them there will be the terrible reckoning. Their dwelling-place will be Hell; and worst indeed is that place for rest.1

நிச்சயமாக உமதிரட்சகனால் உமக்கு இறக்கி வைக்கப்பட்டதெல்லாம் உண்மைதான் என்று உறுதியாக (நம்பி) அறிகின்றவர், யார் குருடராக இருக்கின்றாரோ அவர் போன்று ஆவாரா? (ஆகமாட்டார்) நிச்சயமாக (இதனைக் கொண்டு) நல்லுபதேசம் பெறுபவரெல்லாம் அறிவுடையோர்தாம்.
Shall he then who knows that what has been revealed unto you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) from your Lord is the truth be like him who is blind? But it is only the men of understanding that pay heed.
மேலும், அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், எதை சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளப்பட வேண்டுமென அல்லாஹ் கட்டளையிட்டானோ அ(ந்த இரத்த சொந்தத்)தையும் சேர்த்துக் கொள்வார்கள், (அதைத் துண்டித்து விடும் விஷயத்தில்) தங்கள் இரட்சகனுக்குப் பயந்தும் நடப்பார்கள், கேள்வி கணக்கின் கடுமையையும் பயந்து கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.
And those who join that which Allâh has commanded to be joined (i.e. they are good to their relatives and do not sever the bond of kinship), and fear their Lord, and dread the terrible reckoning (i.e. abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which Allâh has forbidden and perform all kinds of good deeds which Allâh has ordained).
இன்னும், அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், தங்கள் இரட்சகனின் திருமுகத்தைக் கருதி (எத்தகைய இன்னலையும் பொறுமையுடன்) சகித்துக் கொள்வார்கள், தொழுகையையம் நிறைவேற்றுவார்கள், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்தவற்றிலிருந்து இரகசியமாகவும், பரகசியமாகவும் (நம் வழியில்) செலவும் செய்வார்கள், நன்மையைக் கொண்டே தீமையைத் தட்(டிவி)டுவார்கள், இத்தகைய அவர்களுக்கு (இம்மையில் செய்த நன்மைகளின் நற்கூலியாக) மறுமையில் நல்ல இருப்பிட(மாகிய சுவர்க்க)ம் உண்டு.
And those who remain patient, seeking their Lord’s Countenance, perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and spend out of that which We have bestowed on them, secretly and openly, and defend evil with good, for such there is a good end.
(அவை) நிலையான சுவனங்களாகும், அவற்றில் அவர்களும் பிரவேசிப்பார்கள், இன்னும், அவர்களின் தந்தையர்களில், அவர்களின் மனைவியரில், அவர்களுடைய சந்ததிகளில் (அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளைகளை ஏற்று) யார் நல்லவர்களாக இருந்தார்களோ அவர்களும் (அதில் பிரவேசிப்பா்); மலக்குகளும் ஒவ்வொரு வாசலிலிருந்து அவர்களிடம் பிரவேசிப்பார்கள்.
‘Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), which they shall enter and (also) those who acted righteously from among their fathers, and their wives, and their offspring. And angels shall enter unto them from every gate (saying):
“நீங்கள் (உங்கள் வாழ்க்கையில் கஷ்டங்களைப்) பொறுத்துக் கொண்டதன் காரணமாக, உங்களுக்குச் சாந்தி உண்டாவதாக! (உங்களுடைய இந்தக்) கடைசி வீடு மிக்க நல்லதாயிற்று” (என்று அவர்களிடம் கூறுவார்கள்.)
"Salâmun ‘Alaikum (peace be upon you) for you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!"
மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வின் வாக்குறுதியை – அதனை உறுதிப்படுத்திய பின்னர்-முறித்து விடுகிறார்களே (அவர்களும்), இன்னும் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளப்பட வேண்டுமென அல்லாஹ் கட்டளையிட்ட (இரத்த சொந்தத்)தை துண்டித்து பூமியில் குழப்பமும் செய்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோர்-அவர்களுக்கு (அல்லாஹ்வுடைய) சாபந்தான் உண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு (நரகமான) மிகக் கெட்ட வீடும் உண்டு.
And those who break the Covenant of Allâh, after its ratification, and sever that which Allâh has commanded to be joined (i.e. they sever the bond of kinship and are not good to their relatives), and work mischief in the land, on them is the curse (i.e. they will be far away from Allâh’s Mercy), and for them is the unhappy (evil) home (i.e. Hell)1.
அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவர்களுக்கு வாழ்வாதாரத்தை ஏராளமாகக் கொடுக்கிறான், (தான் விரும்பியவர்களுக்கு) அளவோடும் கொடுக்கிறான், இன்னும், (நிராகரிப்போர்) இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையைக் கொண்டு மகிழ்ச்சியடைகின்றனர், இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையோ மறுமைக்கு (ஒப்பிட்டுப்பார்த்தால் அதன்) முன்னே மிக அற்ப சுகமே தவிர (வேறு) இல்லை.
Allâh increases the provision for whom He wills, and straitens (it for whom He wills), and they rejoice in the life of the world, whereas the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter is but a brief passing enjoyment.
இன்னும், “அவர் மீது, அவருடைய இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து ஓர் அத்தாட்சி இறக்கிவைக்கப்பட வேண்டாமா?” என்று (உம்மைப் பற்றி) நிராகரித்து விட்டார்களே அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர், (அதற்கு நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அவன் (தண்டிக்க) நாடியவரைத் தவறான வழியில் விட்டு விடுகிறான், மேலும், (தவ்பாச் செய்து) அவன்பால் திரும்பி வருபவரை, நேர்வழியில் செலுத்துகிறான்.
And those who disbelieved say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) from his Lord?" Say: "Verily, Allâh sends astray whom He wills and guides unto Himself those who turn to Him in repentance."
(இத்தகுதிக்குரியோர்) எத்தகையோரென்றால், அவர்கள் (மெய்யாகவே) விசுவாசங்கொண்டார்கள், இன்னும், அல்லாஹ்வை நினைவு கூர்வது கொண்டு அவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் அமைதி பெறுகின்றன, (ஏனென்றால்,) அல்லாஹ்வை நினைவு கூர்வதால் இதயங்கள் நிச்சயமாக அமைதி பெறும் என்பதை அறிந்து கெர்ளவீர்களாக!
Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allâh: verily, in the remembrance of Allâh do hearts find rest1.

The superiority of Dhikr Allâh ذكر الله [remembering Allâh (i.e. glorifying and praising Him.)]
a) Narrated Abu Mûsâ رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "The example of the one who remembers (glorifies the Praises of) his Lord, (Allâh) in comparison to the one who does not remember (glorify the Praises of) his Lord, is that of a living creature compared to a dead one" (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.8, Hadith No.416).
b) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Whoever says, Subhân Allâhi wa bihamdihi , one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.8, Hadith No.414).
c) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Whoever says: Lâ ilâha illallâhu wahdahû lâ sharîka lahû, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa Huwa ‘alâ kulli shai’in Qadîr,* one hundred times will get the same reward as given for manumitting ten slaves; and one hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Satan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.8, Hadith No.412).
*None has the right to be worshipped but Allâh (Alone) Who has no partner; to Him belongs the kingdom (of the universe), and for Him are all the praises, and He has the power to do everything.
விசுவாசங்கொண்டு நற்காரியங்களையும் செய்து வருகிறார்களே, அத்தகையோர், அவர்களுக்கு நல்வாழ்க்கையுண்டு, மேலும், நல்ல இருப்பிடமும் உண்டு.
Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism), and work righteousness, Tûbâ (all kinds of happiness or name of a tree in Paradise) is for them and a beautiful place of (final) return.
(நபியே!) தூதர்கள் பலரை அனுப்பிய) அவ்வாறே உம்மையும் நாம் (நம் தூதராக) ஒரு கூட்டத்தாரிடம் அனுப்பி வைத்தோம், இதற்கு முன்னரும் (இவர்களில்) பல சமுதாயங்கள திட்டமாக சென்றிருக்கின்றன, ஆகவே, நாம் உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவிப்பவற்றை அவர்களுக்கு நீர் ஓதிக் காண்பிப்பதற்காகவே (உம்மை அனுப்பினோம், ஆனால்) இவர்களோ (அளவற்ற அருளாளனாகிய) அர்ரஹ்மானையே நிராகரிக்கின்றனர், நீர் (அவர்களிடம்) கூறுவீராக! “அவன்தான் என்னுடைய இரட்சகன் அவனைத் தவிர வணக்கத்திற்குரிய நாயன் (வேறு) ஒருவனுமில்லை, (என் காரியங்களை முழுமையாக ஒப்படைத்து) அவன் மீது நான் நம்பிக்கை வைத்திருக்கிறேன், அவன்பாலே (என்) மீட்சியும் இருக்கிறது.
Thus have We sent you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) to a community before whom other communities have passed away, in order that you might recite unto them what We have revealed to you, while they disbelieve in the Most Gracious (Allâh) Say: "He is my Lord! Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! In Him is my trust, and to Him will be my return with repentance."
நிச்சயமாக குர் ஆன் - அதைக்கொண்டு மலைகள் நகர்த்தப் பட்டாலும், அல்லது அதைக்கொண்டு பூமியைத் துண்டு துண்டாக ஆக்கப்பட்டாலும், அல்லது அதைக்கொண்டு இறந்தவர்களைப் பேசும்படியாகச் செய்யப்பட்டாலும் (அவர்கள் விசுவாசங்கொள்ளவே மாட்டார்கள்) மாறாக காரியங்கள் யாவும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியனவாகும், ஆகவே, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால், மனிதர்கள் அனைவரையும் நேர் வழியில் நடத்தியிருப்பான் என்பது (பற்றி) விசுவாசிகளுக்கு தெளிவாகவில்லையா? நிராகரிப்போரை அவர்கள் செய்திட்ட (தீய)வற்றின் காரணமாக (அவர்கள் திடுக்கிடக் கூடிய) யாதேனுமொரு சம்பவம் அவர்களை வந்தடைந்து கொண்டேயிருக்கும், அல்லது அவர்கள் வீட்டிற்குச் சமீபமாகவேனும், (அதுபோன்று சம்பவங்கள்) அல்லாஹ்வின் வாக்குறுதி (அவர்களுக்கு மரணம்) வரும்வரை அது இறங்கி (சம்பவித்து)க் கொண்டேயிருக்கும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வாக்குறுதியில் மாறு செய்யமாட்டான்.
And if there had been a Qur’ân with which mountains could be moved (from their places), or the earth could be cloven asunder, or the dead could be made to speak (it would not have been other than this Qur’ân). But the decision of all things is certainly with Allâh. Have not then those who believed yet known that had Allâh willed, He could have guided all mankind? And a disaster will not cease to strike those who disbelieved because of their (evil) deeds or it (i.e. the disaster) settles close to their homes, until the Promise of Allâh comes to pass. Certainly, Allâh breaks not His Promise.
மேலும், (நபியே!) உமக்கு முன்னர் தூதர்கள் (பலரும் இவ்வாறே) நிச்சயமாகப் பரிகசிக்கப்பட்டனர், நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்களுக்கு நான் தவணையளித்து (விட்டு) வைத்தேன், பின்னர், நான் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டேன், ஆகவே (நம்முடைய) தண்டனை எப்படி இருந்தது? (என்பதைச் சிந்திப்பீராக!)
And indeed (many) Messengers were mocked at before you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), but I granted respite to those who disbelieved, and finally I punished them. Then how (terrible) was My punishment!
எவன் ஒவ்வொரு ஆத்மாவின் மீதும் அது சம்பாதித்தவற்றுக்கு பொறுப்பேற்று நிற்கிறானோ அவனா?” (அவர்களின் விக்கிரகங்களைப் போன்றாவான்?) அவர்களோ அல்லாஹ்விற்கு இணையாளர்களை ஆக்குகிறார்கள், (“நீங்கள் வணங்கும் தெய்வங்கள் அவனுக்கு இணையானவையாயிருந்தால்,) அவற்றின் பெயரை நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள், அல்லது பூமியில் (அவனுக்கு இணையான ஒன்றிலிருந்து அதனை) அவன் அறியாது போய் அதைப்பற்றி அவனுக்கு நீங்கள் அறிவிக்கிறீர்களா? அல்லது, (நீங்கள் கூறுவது உண்மையல்லாத) வெளிப்படையான (வெறும்) வார்த்தைதாமா?” என்று கேட்பீராக! (இவைகளில் ஒன்றும்) இல்லை” நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய சூழ்ச்சி அழகாகக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது, (ஆகவே, நேரான) வழியிலிருந்து அவர்கள் தடுக்கப்பட்டும் விட்டனர், இன்னும், எவரை அல்லாஹ் தவறான வழியில் விட்டுவிட்டானோ, அவரை நேர் வழியில் செலுத்தக்கூடியவர் ஒருவருமில்லை.
Is then He (Allâh) Who takes charge (guards, maintains, provides) of every person and knows all that he has earned (like any other deities who know nothing)? Yet, they ascribe partners to Allâh. Say: "Name them! Is it that you will inform Him of something He knows not in the earth or is it (just) a show of false words." Nay! To those who disbelieved, their plotting is made fairseeming, and they have been hindered from the Right Path; and whom Allâh sends astray, for him there is no guide.
அவர்களுக்கு இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் வேதனையுண்டு, (அவர்களுக்கு) மறுமையின் வேதனையோ மிகக் கடுமையானது, அல்லாஹ்விடத்திலிருந்து அவர்களைக் காப்போர் எவருமில்லை.
For them is a torment in the life of this world, and certainly, harder is the torment of the Hereafter. And they have no Wâq (defender or protector) against Allâh.
பயபக்தியுடையவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட சுவனபதியின் தன்மையாகிறது, நீரருவிகள் அதன் கீழ் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும், (கனி வகைகளால்) அதன் உணவும் நிலையானதாகும், அதன் நிழலும் (அவ்வாறே நிலையானதாகும்) இது பயபக்தியுடையோரின் முடிவாகும், இன்னும் நிராகரிப்போரின் முடிவு நரகமாகும்
The description of the Paradise which the Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2) have been promised: Underneath it rivers flow, its provision is eternal and so is its shade; this is the end (final destination) of the Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2), and the end (final destination) of the disbelievers is Fire. (See Verse 47:15)
நாம் எவர்களுக்கு வேதம் கொடுத்திருந்தோமோ அத்தகையவர்கள் உம்பால் இறக்கப்பட்டதைப்பற்றி மகிழ்ச்சியடைவார்கள், (அதில்) சிலவற்றை மறுப்பவர்களும் அக்கூட்டத்தார்களில் இருக்கிறார்கள், ஆகவே நீர், நான் ஏவப்பட்டிருப்பதெல்லாம் அல்லாஹ்வையே நான் வணங்க வேண்டு,ம், அவனுக்கு யாதொன்றையும் நான் இணையாக்கக் கூடாது” என்றுதான், அவன் பக்கமே (உங்களை) நான் அழைக்கின்றேன், இன்னும் அவன் பக்கமே (என்) மீட்சியும் இருக்கின்றது” என்று அவர்களுக்குக்) கூறுவீராக!
Those to whom We have given the Book (such as ‘Abdullâh bin Salâm and other Jews who embraced Islâm), rejoice at what has been revealed unto you (i.e. the Qur’ân),1 but there are among the Confederates (from the Jews and pagans) those who reject a part thereof. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم): "I am commanded only to worship Allâh (Alone) and not to join partners with Him. To Him (Alone) I call and to Him is my return."
இன்னும், இவ்வாறே அரபி மொழியில் சட்டதிட்டங்களைக் கொண்டதாக (குர் ஆனாகிய) இதனை நாம் இறக்கி வைத்திருக்கிறோம், ஆகவே, உமக்கு (குர் ஆனின்) ஞானம் வந்து விட்டதற்குப் பின்னரும், நீர் அவர்களுடைய இச்சைகளைப் பின்பற்றினால் அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து உமக்கு உதவி செய்பவரும் காப்பவரும் (எவரும்) இல்லை.
And thus have We sent it (the Qur’ân) down to be a judgement of authority in Arabic. Were you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) to follow their (vain) desires after the knowledge which has come to you, then you will not have any Walî (protector) or Wâq (defender) against Allâh.
(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உமக்கு முன்னரும் தூதர்களை அனுப்பியிருக்கிறோம், அவர்களுக்கு மனைவியரையும் சந்ததியினரையும் நாம் ஆக்கியிருந்தோம், அன்றியும், அல்லாஹ்வின் அனுமதியின்றி எந்தத் தூதருக்கும் எத்தகைய அத்தாட்சியையும் கொண்டு வருவதற்கில்லை, ஒவ்வொரு தவணைக்கும் (பதிவு) ஏடு உள்ளது.
And indeed We sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) and made for them wives and offspring. And it was not for a Messenger to bring a sign except by Allâh’s Leave. (For) every matter there is a Decree (from Allâh). [Tafsir Al-Tabari]
(நபியே!) அவர்களுக்கு நாம் வாக்களித்த (வேதனைகளில்) சிவவற்றை (நீர் உயிரோடிருக்கும்போதே உம்முடைய கண்ணால் நீர் காணும்படி) நாம் உமக்குக் காண்பித்தாலும் அல்லது (அது வருமுன்) நாம் உம்மைக் கைப்பற்றிக் கொண்டாலும் (நீர் கவலைப்படாதீர்!,) உம்முடைய கடமையெல்லாம் தூதை எத்தி வைப்பதுதான், இன்னும், (அவர்களுடைய) கணக்கு நம் மீதாகும்.
Whether We show you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) part of what We have promised them or cause you to die, your duty is only to convey (the Message) and on Us is the reckoning.
