107. Al-Ma'un

(நபியே! மறுமையில் நல்லவற்றுக்கு நற்கூலியும், தீயவைக்கு தண்டனையும் வழங்கப்படும்) நியாயத்தீர்ப்பை பொய்யாக்குவோனை நீர் (கவனித்துப்) பார்த்தீரா?

Have you seen him who denies the Recompense?

ஆகவே அத்தகையோனே அநாதைகளை (ஈவிரக்கமின்றி) விரட்டுகிறான்.

That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly),¹

1. Narrated Sahl bin Sa‘d رضي الله عنهما : The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.8, Hadith No.34).

அவன் ஏழைக்கு உணவளிக்கத் தூண்டுவதுமில்லை.

And urges not on the feeding of Al-Miskîn (the poor),¹

1. Narrated Abû Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujâhid (fighter) who fights for Allâh’s Cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.7, Hadith No.265).

எனவே, தொழுகையாளிகளுக்கு கேடுதான்.

So woe unto those performers of Salât (prayers) (hypocrites),

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், தங்கள் தொழுகையை (நிறைவேற்றுவதை)விட்டும் பராமுகமாக இருப்போர்.

Those who delay their Salât (prayer from their stated fixed times).

அத்தகையோர்தான் (மற்றவர்களுக்குக்) காண்பிக்(கவே தொழு)கிறார்கள்.

Those who do good deeds only to be seen (of men),

மேலும், (அன்றாடம் உபயோகமாகும்) அற்பமான பொருட்களை (மற்றவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பதைவிட்டும்) தடுக்கிறார்கள்.

And prevent Al-Mâ‘ûn (small kindnesses like salt, sugar, water).
