يُوصِيكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِىٓ أَوْلَـٰدِكُمْ ۖ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۚ فَإِن كُنَّ نِسَآءً فَوْقَ ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَ ۖ وَإِن كَانَتْ وَٰحِدَةً فَلَهَا ٱلنِّصْفُ ۚ وَلِأَبَوَيْهِ لِكُلِّ وَٰحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا ٱلسُّدُسُ مِمَّا تَرَكَ إِن كَانَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌ ۚ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ وَلَدٌ وَوَرِثَهُۥٓ أَبَوَاهُ فَلِأُمِّهِ ٱلثُّلُثُ ۚ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُۥٓ إِخْوَةٌ فَلِأُمِّهِ ٱلسُّدُسُ ۚ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِى بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ ۗ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ لَكُمْ نَفْعًا ۚ فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
உங்கள் மக்கள் விஷயத்தில், (சொத்துப்பங்கீட்டில், ஓர்) ஆணுக்கு இரு பெண்களுக்குரியது போன்ற பாகம் உண்டென்று அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு கட்டளையிடுகிறான், ஆகவே, அவர்கள் (ஆணின்றி) இருவருக்கும் அதிகமாக பெண்களாக இருந்தால், அவர் (இறந்தவர்) விட்டுச் சென்ற(சொத்)தில் மூன்றில் இரண்டு பாகம் (அப்பெண்களாகிய) அவர்களுக்குண்டு. மேலும் ஒருத்தியாக அவள் இருந்தால், அவளுக்கு பாதி உண்டு, இன்னும் (உங்களில் இறந்த) அவருக்குப் பிள்ளை இருந்தால், அவருடைய தாய், தந்தை ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் (இறந்தவர்) விட்டுச்சென்ற) (சொத்)தில் ஆறிலொன்று உண்டு, (இறந்த அவருக்குப் பிள்ளை இல்லாமலிருந்தால், பெற்றோர் (மட்டும்) அவருக்கு அனந்தரக்காரர்களானால் அப்பொழுது அவருடைய தாய்க்கு மூன்றிலொன்று உண்டு, மற்ற இருபாகமும் தகப்பனுக்குரியதாகும், (இறந்த) அவருக்குப் (பல)சகோதரர்கள் இருந்தால், அப்பொழுது எதனை அவர் (மரண) சாசனம் செய்தாரோ அ(தை நிறைவேற்றப்பட்ட)தற்கு அல்லது கடனுக்கு (அதை கொடுக்கப்பட்டதற்கு)ப் பின்னர் அவரின் தாய்க்கு ஆறில் ஒன்று உண்டு, உங்கள் தந்தைகளோ இன்னும் உங்கள் ஆண்மக்களோ இவர்களில் உங்களுக்குப் பயனளிப்பதில் மிக நெருங்கியவர்கள் யாரென்பதை நீங்கள் அறியமாட்டீர்கள், (ஆகவே, இவை) அல்லாஹ்வினால் (உங்கள் மீது) விதிக்கபபட்டுள்ள கட்டளையாகும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக்க அறிந்தவனாக, தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

Allâh commands you as regards your children’s (inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females; if (there are) only daughters, two or more, their share is two-thirds of the inheritance; if only one, her share is a half. For parents, a sixth share of inheritance to each if the deceased left children; if no children, and the parents are the (only) heirs, the mother has a third; if the deceased left brothers (or sisters), the mother has a sixth. (The distribution in all cases is) after the payment of legacies he may have bequeathed or debts. You know not which of them, whether your parents or your children, are nearest to you in benefit; (these fixed shares) are ordained by Allâh. And Allâh is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.
