كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو ٱلْأَوْتَادِ
(இவ்வாறே) இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் (இருந்த) நூஹ்வுடைய சமூகத்தாரும், ஆது (சமூகத்தாரு)ம், முளைகளுடைய(-பெரும் படைகளுடைய) ஃபிர் அவ்னும் (நம்முடைய தூதர்களைப்) பொய்யாக்கினார்கள்.

Before them (were many who) belied (Messengers) - the people of Nûh (Noah); and ‘Âd; and Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) the man of stakes (with which he used to punish the people),
