يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! உங்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்கள் மீது கடமையாக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது போல் உங்கள் மீதும் நோன்பு (நோற்பது) கடமையாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றது; (அதனால்) நீங்கள் (உள்ளசுத்தி பெற்று) பயபக்தியுடையவர்களாகலாம்.
மொழிபெயர்ப்பு: மன்னர் ஃபஹத் குர்ஆன் அச்சக வளாகம்
O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting)1 is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2: 2).
As-Saum means fasting i.e. not to eat or drink or have sexual relations etc. from the Adhân of the Fajr (early morning) prayer till the sunset.
