فَلَمَّا سَمِعَتْ بِمَكْرِهِنَّ أَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَعْتَدَتْ لَهُنَّ مُتَّكَـًٔا وَءَاتَتْ كُلَّ وَٰحِدَةٍ مِّنْهُنَّ سِكِّينًا وَقَالَتِ ٱخْرُجْ عَلَيْهِنَّ ۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْنَهُۥٓ أَكْبَرْنَهُۥ وَقَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ وَقُلْنَ حَـٰشَ لِلَّهِ مَا هَـٰذَا بَشَرًا إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا مَلَكٌ كَرِيمٌ
அவர்களின் சூழ்ச்சியை (-எகிப்திய அரசின் அமைச்சருடைய மனைவியாகிய அவள் செவியுற்றபோது (அழைத்து வருபவரை அப்பெண்களாகிய)வர்கள்பால் அனுப்பினாள், அவர்களுக்காக ஒரு விருந்து சபையை ஏற்பாடும் செய்தாள், அ(ங்கு வந்திருந்த)வர்களில் ஒவ்வொருத்திக்கும் (ஒரு பழமும்) ஒரு கத்தியும் கொடுத்தாள், இன்னும் (யூஸுஃபாகிய) அவரை (அலங்கரித்து) அவர்கள் முன் வெளிப்படுவீராக” என்று கூறினாள், (அப்பெண்களாகிய) அவர்கள் அவரைப் பார்த்த பொழுது (அவருடைய அழகில் மயங்கி) அவரை மிக்க மேன்மையாகக் கண்டு, தங்கள் கை (விரல்)களை அறுத்துக் கொண்டனர், மேலும் “அல்லாஹ் பரிசுத்தமானவன், இவர் மனிதரல்ல!! இவர் மேன்மைக்குரிய ஒரு மலக்கே தவிர (வேறு) இல்லை” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

So when she heard of their accusation, she sent for them and prepared a banquet for them; she gave each one of them a knife (to cut the foodstuff with), and she said [(to Yûsuf (Joseph)]: "Come out before them." Then, when they saw him, they exalted him (at his beauty) and (in their astonishment) cut their hands. They said: "How perfect is Allâh (or Allâh forbid)! No man is this! This is none other than a noble angel!"
